Milk & Honey Cafe - Colonial Heights

This place was AMAZING!! From customer service to food and atmosphere. We went here to celebrate my husband’s birthday and we had 7 adults and 4 kids, we tried to call ahead but couldn’t get through the phone service so we decided to just go in and we were so glad we did. The manager told us she would be taking care of us and she was AWESOME! She rearranged tables to accommodate us, she took our orders and the food was out in no time. The food was DELICIOUS, everything was seasoned just right and presentation on point, the portions were definitely 2 meals in 1. Shoutout to the manager and the chef for making our first visit to Milk & Honey extra special!! We definitely be making this place a regular. 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ undoubtedly!!

Go ahead and put this in ur gps. Was welcomed with warm smiles and food was so delicious. Didn’t wait long at all. Good portions too for the price it is. Don’t have mimosas but they are working on it. Shrimp and Grits filled me up and I had to take left overs. Green fried tomatoes were perfect. Been looking for green fried tomatoes for the longest that would hit the spot and they did it. I’ll definitely come here again.

If you don’t stop and eat here, you’re doing yourself a disservice. This is the SPOT! Yoveii took exceptional care of us during our dining experience and the food was absolutely fantastic. I had the chicken and Biscuits in Cajun Sauce and I highly recommend the dish. Place wasn’t busy and easy to access right off the highway. EAT HERE OR LIVE A LIFETIME OF REGRET!

I absolutely love this place! The food is delicious and cooked with love and soul. My favorite is the Chicken and waffles and their grits. I definitely recommend the place. I can't wait to try other things on the menu as well a lot of the food looked and smelled great going to other customer tables.

Just the kind of cozy lil' cafe Colonial Heights needs. We were astounded by our experience and much of our brunch conversation was focused on how pleased we were with practically everything.

Superior service from the ebullient staff from the moment we walked in, holding their own against the busy crowd. The tables were full and the line was out the door, so they may want to consider a bench or two in front, for the grandmas at least.

My Chicken Sandwich was STACKED! Three glorious pieces of poultry seasoned to Lemon Pepper perfection and coated in a sweet Hot Honey sauce that gave me a serious case of the yumzzz.

I've been to Milk & Honey twice now and had a great experience both times. First of all, I highly recommend the fried green tomatoes. So delicious. Well seasoned, but the seasoning isn't so overpowering that you miss out of the flavor of the tomato. Our first visit, in May, I had the blackened salmon and grits, and the salmon was perfectly flaky with a nice crisp on the outside. My mom got the catfish and grits and the catfish was so tender that you could barely keep it on the fork. For dessert we got the bread pudding and the strawberry biscuits and shared. Both were delicious. The second time we visited, June 15, I stuck with the salmon but my mom tried the crab cake sandwich with fries. The fries are crispy on the outside but soft on the inside and the crab cake was huge. And it was just giant lumps of crab. So good. Both times we've been have been during lunch and it's been busy but the staff moves quickly and we've never had to wait too long, though personally I feel it would be well worth the wait. The staff is friendly and attentive, the dining room is clean and cozy and I love the tin ceiling, the gorgeous light fixture, and the combo of the deep color on the walls with the wood and yellow accents, and the restroom is clean as well. I've recommended Milk & Honey to several friends and co-workers and I'm looking forward to my next lunch there with friends in a few weeks.

A friend and I stopped to have brunch together. The environment was very clean. The service was great. The menu had so many options I was not sure what I desired. I did pick my entrée. I was very impressed of my shrimp and grits! Thank you and many blessings!

Incredible. My momma didn't cook like this but I feel like I know what they mean by "good home food" because THIS?? This hits right. The biscuits, thr flavor, the eggs, even the presentation. Love this place.

Came here for brunch on a Sunday. The service was excellent from the host to the chef. Chef Steven is an awesome leader as he took charge of the restaurant while the manager was out. He was sweeping, greeting tables and making sure the kitchen ran smoothly. Our server Nikki was also attentive and provided great recommendations since this was our first time dining in. We ordered the jumbo chicken, French toast and hash, all which was prepared fresh, hot and greatly seasoned. The teamwork of all the staff to make sure everything was taken care of was great to see. This was our first time but will definitely be back.

Delicious! I don’t understand any of the negative reviews because this place is a gem.

I got the chicken and sweet potato waffle. The chicken was seasoned and cooked to crispy perfection and the brown butter caramel sauce for the waffle was to die for.

My husband got the catfish and grits and the catfish was also perfectly seasoned, crispy, and falling apart. It was easily the best catfish I’ve had.

We also got the honey butter biscuits and the bread pudding and they were both incredible.
And we both had at least 3 glasses of their amazing sweet tea.

The staff was very kind and attentive, the restaurant was clean and bright.
We will definitely be back!

When yall go here make sure you ask for Yoveii to be your server ! She is the best 10/10 highly recommended! The food was also good.

This was my first time here, everything sounded so good so I ordered 5 different things. EVERYTHING WAS GOOD & most importantly fresh. Would definitely recommend to anyone! My server was Ta’Breia

We went here for brunch on a Tuesday morning and it was empty. We were happy because we read about the lines and wait times so we waited for a weekday to visit. We were seated and someone took our order right away. I ordered the shrimp and grits and it was a nice size serving. It wasn’t that seasoned but the sauce and sausage gave it most of the flavor. It was pretty good but being a southern girl i expected a little more flavor. My husband got the honey chicken sandwich with fries and he said he really liked it. I tasted the chicken strips and the flavor on them were amazing! I ate one of his left over chicken strips because the sandwich (see picture) was huge! Overall a good place and we will definitely be back to try other menu items.

I’m just gonna say IESHA! Her great energy and service made the experience that much better! And baaaaybeee — that food was delicious! 🤤 😋 Nice to have this spot that is much closer than driving way to DC. Will definitely return!

Superior customer service. I just wish this spot was bigger. The line was out the door! But well worth the wait! Really enjoyed the lemon pepper and hot honey wings. Light breaded and fried just right. Not too dry or gummy.

The Salmon had just the right flakiness and seasoning with perfect crisp fries. We will definitely be back if we can get a seat. It's probably one of the best spots this side of Chester Southpark area.

Sweet tea was how grandma used to make it in the South. Delicious all around! I hope they expand to the North Chesterfield and West end area! This is a gem in the Chester area for sure!

Finally made my way to Milk & Honey hoping for the best and they did not disappoint! We were sat immediately, the waiter was very attentive. Talked to us about what his favorites were and gave some great suggestions. I went with the Shrimp and Grits and it was so good! Lots of shrimp and the sauce was just right, very filling. We will most definitely be back!

Went to Milk & Honey with a group of friends for breakfast before the lunch rush. I got the Deep fried salmon and the cajun sauce is absolutely amazing. Our server was Yoveii + Kay and the service was absolutely amazing. All the food was delicious.

This place is fantastic, with great food and excellent service. I most definitely will be coming back to this place. I highly recommend this place to anyone.

Loved the atmosphere, the food is delicious, I’ve tried the deep fried salmon hash and the blackened salmon blt and both were good. The service was good. On a busy day there is a wait, but worth it. Definitely going back.
