Active Culture

I love to go to Active Culture every time I’m in the Newport area. They have very original healthy options like the LB bowl and the Chocolate Bliss shake. The yogurt and açaí bowls are so good too. I like to get an LB bowl to go because the brown rice, apples, dates, prosciutto and cheese hold up well while traveling and I can eat it anytime I get hungry. Close to the ocean and sitting outside on a nice day is heavenly.

My wife and I stopped there to share a delicious acai bowl. It was quiet while we were there (about 9:30 am on a Saturday morning), and we enjoyed sitting out on the patio with our dogs. There was a slight view of the ocean, but quite a bit of construction going on. The service was very good.

Amazing food and great service!!! The veggie and wholesome bowls were seriously delicious, filling, and made my husband and I feel whole again after we had been eating not-so-healthy items in Laguna beforehand. The flavors were so good. I wish I had one where I’m from in Thousand Oaks so that I could go more often!!! Highly, highly recommend. Would give 10 stars if I could. Super sweet people work here too; they asked kindly about our day and what we did earlier. Love this place.

Awesome place for good wholesome healthy food with great homemade sauces. They have a small art gallery and great coffee as well as some of the best frozen yogurt! Used to work there and the quality of the produce and other foods are awesome! Great atmosphere right across PCH with great ocean views. Indoor and outdoor seating.

Love this little gem right off pch, the beach 🏖 and they have several vegan options. I sat on the patio with a kombucha and vegan chili. Just a little piece of heaven. It’s an order at the counter type place like chipotle. They offer plant based soft serve fro yo too! With loads of toppings like fruits and nuts. I will be coming back for the froyo!

Cozy place on the pacific coast highway. In the back you can serve yourself different flavors of frozen yoghurt + toppings. With the help of little samples you can try some flavors before deciding. Went there twice in 2 days. Had a great wrap aswell.

I'm rating this a 5 because it's very rare to find dairy free gluten free dessert! I get the chocolate and vanilla combo with some toppings. Place could be cleaner. The toppings are do it yourself so it's a little messy. The chocolate chips looked wet? The yogurt is pay by the lb (including toppings) Not alot of space inside to sit. Some tables outside.

I think the velvet bowl (pictured) changed my life! In all seriousness, I've thoroughly enjoyed everything I've tried at Active Culture. Delicious food and healthy too - what more can you ask for?

Epic Fro-yo… tasty bowls… stones throw from aldofos and Video Works nostalgia. 5/5 all day.

Yummy with great vegan options and local kombucha on tap. Dogs can sit in the outdoor seating. They even have vegan frozen yogurt.

One of the highlights of our trip along the California coastline. Amazing food and great service. The perfect place to go after a long day on the beach

A surprisingly great find. Went for the açaí (which was tailor made around our food allergies) . It was made to perfection. But the gem is really the frozen yoghurt and extremely tasty toppings. The salted caramel was super light and refreshing , accompanied by a swirl of vanilla . Very tasty. Highly recommended on a hot beach afternoon. And the staff was pleasant and cared that the customer received the very best service and had a pleasant experience. Happy all around and look forward to enjoying again.

The smoothies we had were all delicious. The Chocolate Smoothie was beyond this world

We had a great breakfast here, including a power protein acai bowl that was super tasty with a nice mix of ingredients, tastes, and textures to please every bit of me. There's indoor and outdoor seating and even a little art museum! Active Culture is actively awesome.

Friendly staff and great tasting frozen yogurt with lots of toppings. Lots of outdoor seating with a view of the ocean across the street.

There are wonderfully, healthy, and tasty options here, plus on tap kombucha! The pineapple kombucha was great. The staff are friendly and helpful. I was surprised how many people forgot to bring and wear masks... The staff were exceedingly nice to take their order outside and bring their order outside to them. I was impressed with how accommodating the staff was despite being super busy.

This place is so delicious, I love everything they have, especially the rice/quinoa bowls, acai bowls, and the yogurts. They have a lot of creative yogurt flavors and ingredients are always top-notch and fresh. I stop by whenever I’m in the area

The staff was so kind and nice! and their Açaí bowls were super good!! plus, they went looking for my missing purse across the street and found it! because their awesome! they are great 10/10!!

I came here for the first time after a soccer game from a friend who recommended it to us, hence we live in santa ana and we drove all the way to Laguna to try this place and we were not disappointed! The wholesome bowl was so delicious! Im a vegan so i order it without cheese but the og sauce gives it a cheesy taste so its like im not missing anything from this dish & the price is a well reasonable price for this dish. They also have frozen yogurt which i didn’t try but i have heard it also delicious. This picture was before covid so we were able to enjoy the view of the beach but now they have patio close and pick up is located behind the shop. The parking is limited as well.
