Efficient, friendly staff. Everyone I’ve ever encountered at this post office helped assess the best way to ship packages, showed me all of the stamps to choose from, patiently guided me through packaging options and paperwork. And, they go above and beyond that. I was there one day when an elderly woman came to tell them she’d found the keys that one of them had helped search her car to find! That’s small town kindness!!

I went in with my toddler today to send a care package to my big kids at sleepaway camp. The woman working there went above and beyond to help me find the right size box and even helped me pack everything up. It was a huge help as I was able to get the package out today instead of having to go home pack it up and send it tomorrow (it would have been impossible to get out again before closing today with a toddler). I am so grateful!

Had an issue with delivery (turns out due to my landlord). Spoke to Deb at post office who was awesome and seemed to really want to help! She got the carrier (sorry I did not catch your name) on the phone and the issue was resolved in no time. Thanks!

never a problem with our deliveries. Occasional packages that don't fit in the box are always put on my doorstep. Friendly staff.

The people who work here are Pleasant, knowledgeable and helpful despite working in an outdated, tired rundown building.

Very nice and friendly staff. They seem to be overworked but are very composed all the times I have been there. It is a very small office but very busy and could use some expansion or extra help.

Just remember to not go on a Saturday unless you want to spend hours in line. Upon further inquiry as to why it is such a nightmare on the weekends, I was told when people come in for passport applications, it takes longer and there is no way to have a designated line just for that. So be prepared if you can only go there on a Saturday.

Nice people, but always forget to put the yellow slip in the PO boxes. When I know there is a package waiting for me. Sometimes even put in other peoples boxes. Friendly, but unorganized.

We have a USPS postwoman with "I don't do packages" attitude. I will report her...AGAIN. I never heard of a postal worker deciding they weren't going to deliver packages. She writes "un-able to deliver" as if I were not at home.
Jill Mitchell, 35 Mohawk Trail, Guilford, CT 06437.
This is an on-going issue. Especially recently.
I am disabled, which is why I have things delivered and it is hard for me to go out.
She simply throws the slips in the box and doesn't even bother coming to the door with the package. I AM HOME. I EVEN POSTED A SIGN AIMED AT THE DOORBELL.
I've been down to the post office and called. Please do something about this.

So I need to get my kids passports redone. Requirements are both parents have to be present as well as all 3 kids (cannot renew thru mail like adults). My husband has to leave work early and we coordinate all 3 kids with schools, sports and practices to get to Guilford Post Office to renew.
I call ahead of time (hours ahead) to confirm time it closes, if I can make an appointment, etc. I get time I should be there, time it closes and told I do not need to make an appointment.
Get there right at the time the man told me on the phone. There's a line with 1 woman working. So now wait 10 minutes to get to the window. Now she tells me she can't do them because there is a long line behind us and its just her. When I tell her I called ahead to confirm times she tells me she can't do it cause I GOT THERE TOO LATE. What, really?!
I'm sorry she's the only one there, but the hoops I went through to get everyone there and now she won't wait on us?! And she was nasty to boot?!
And people wonder why the Post Office is going downhill. It's one thing to explain the difficulty in the time we got there, but the hours clearly posted gave us enough time. I am beyond annoyed. My husband had to take off work early and now will have to do it again? Do I have to pull my kids out of school for this?! This is crap.

Just overall frustrated enough as is with USPS now adays, but I’ve grown especially frustrated with this local post office and the several occasions packages of mine have been screwed up miserably, both incoming and outgoing.
