I needed to ship a large piece of luggage to New Zealand. The ladies at Madison post office were fantastic! They walked me through the particulars, each step in properly filling out the customs forms to ensure it gets to its final destination.
Then I went back with 11 forms itemizing the contents and they went to work entering it all into their system. No complaints or fuss. Very capable, patient and knowledgeable. Amazing customer service l!!!
I love the Madison CT Post Office!!!

I'm a veteran and my husband is still active duty. I think her name was Kuljit she was so kind and very helpful. I went through a whole ordeal with the DMV and needed to get documents to my husband whose TAD elsewhere for the next few months. She was reassuring and triple checked everything to make sure things would go smoothly. First thing that has during this entire process 😅 thank you ma'am! 5 stars all day

The post office in Madison is the friendliest I have ever been in. The clerks are always careful and efficient, even during the holidays when the line stretches out the door. I am always impressed by the knowledge and experience shown by the postal employees. I have had some difficult International Packaging that they sorted out quickly.

I understand that other reviewers would prefer a more automated experience but I really enjoy being able to have very friendly and enjoyable conversations with staff when I'm buying stamps or mailing packages. I enjoy the warmth of the people who work there And find it rare and valuable. I also get excellent service! I'm in at least once or twice a week because I have a PO Box.

It's a great post office with wonderful staff, but it closes much earlier than it states both on the door and on the website .its just after 4pm and the door is locked .

I went in today to get a relative’s passport application shipped & the two ladies were so helpful and friendly. I didn’t have to wait long either & they answered whatever questioned I had.

One of the best USPS I came by!

I have to go every day to the post office and I always find a friendly face there, even when most of the time I go almost when they are closing they everytime help with the very best courtesy, I have had no so good experiences with the post office before, but in this town I'd love to give them the best score.

The people are always friendly and polite, but it always takes so long to mail anything in Madison. I think the problem is that it is one of the very few post offices where the people working there cannot see the line of waiting people. They can only see the one person in front of them. With no visible line of people waiting, there is NO urgency to hurry along and they chat with customers instead of hustling!

Something always seems to go wrong here, but it seems to be out of the staffs control. Chip readers schould be installed asap.

The mailman needs a new job, he slams mailboxes shut and doesn't bother to make sure it's close so mail gets wet on rainy days. Seen him hit neighbor's mailbox. Tossed our box in the snow instead of delivering. Says our drive is not shoveled, yet a Kia soul drives fine on it (and that car sucks in deep snow). I'm so glad we are moving out of here soon. Am warning families to have video cameras so the can see for themselves.

I love this town...I truly do. The post office is another story. They are the slowest working people ever. If anyone anywhere else moved that slow and produced so little, they would be out of a job. Im on hold now for over 31 minutes...and the automated voice said my wait will be between 42 minutes and an hour.....just to ask them to redeliver a package!!! Really? There is no one to answer the call? So...I have to gauge which is more convenient...waiting on the phone for an hour or waiting in line at the location for an hour because we all know that it actually takes that long...even to just get a book of stamps. Horrible. 37 minutes and still counting...you just cant make this stuff up...
