We decided to stop at this fun store called HobbyTown. I was intrigued when I saw the word “Gundam” and “Models” however as soon as you enter their store you get transported to another world.

They have so much cool toys, gadgets, kits, and treasure galore. You definitely have to walk up and down the aisles more than once if your picking just one thing because it’s so hard to choose just one thing 😩 From ✈ planes, boats, RC model cars, LEGO kits, sticker books and even a Pit Room to work on your cars/models! 🤩 You for sure need to come inside to check it out.

We found out that they recently moved here from their St Charles location 3 months ago. So no wonder this place seemed new to me since I had the kidney donation surgery 4 months ago. Something changed when we were driving down this parking lot and this HobbyTown was the new shiny thing.

Overall it was a great Christmas 🎄 Eve shopping 🛍 experience and hope you will step inside and take a gander at their products, talk to their awesome staff and gorgeous 👏 Gundam Art Mural. 🤓🧩🪁🚘🚂🪀

Decent hobby shop.
Employees are always happy to help. Indoor racetrack is always busy (in a good way) plus free fresh popcorn at times!!

I first heard of HobbyTown as a recommendation from my friend when I found my dad’s old RC10T. I took it to the St Charles location for some repairs and they either didn’t have time or weren’t interested in working on it. When I went to pick it up the employee seemed very upset that no one even looked at it so he quickly went through it and made suggestions to get it up and going. His actions have led me back into the store several more times for some larger purchases. I’ve gotten a Traxxas Sledge, Traxxas Xmaxx and a bunch of parts to rebuild a Traxxas Maxx I bought used. They’ve made great recommendations on batteries and chargers so I can safely charge and use the LiPo batteries the RCs use. On top of having a great selection of RCs and parts my son loves to go there to see the races on the weekends! The hobby isn’t nearly as popular as it was when I was a child so it is nice to see a store with a great group of employees provide a quality experience. We will continue to shop at this location for tour RC needs! There is a Traxxas XRT calling my name. :)

Love it! Worksrs are very nice and helpful, and called a couple times, very patient and nice! I got my Rc car fixed as well, forgot Amazon or eBay, get your stuff here! Awesome place

HobbyTown Batavia is awesome! Jeremy (Owner) really went the extra effort for us. I just went through foot surgery and am unable to drive. He had one of his employees drive out to my house in Crystal Lake and deliver the car so that I can have it in time for my sons birthday. He has a customer for life.

They have a very wide arrangement of models including; planes, cars, and gundams. As well as a sizable rc car track, and rc car selection.

Super friendly and helpful. I'm a novice just getting into this stuff and they were every bit as helpful for me as they were with the other customers that actually knew what they were doing.

Great stop for a variety of hobbies and collectors items with a decent size RC area. Plenty of models, rc cars, craft supplies and Mega Marbles. Staff is attentive, informative, friendly and professional. Plenty of parking.

The staff is very knowledgeable and the owner Jeremy is extremely helpful as well. Great selection of planes, quads, cars, and trucks and parts. These guys are just awesome. They will help you find what you need even if they have to search through parts from a different brand that might work. Top notch !!

Hadn't seen the impressive indoor track and selection of RC at this location. Went there for plastic kits and wasn't disappointed. Nice selection of kits, tools, paints, etc. Friendly staff.

I just got into FPV drones with the help of Chip and Ben. This shop has the best inventory and most knowledgeable people behind the counter. These guys are the best!

Love this place. If you have a question they always have a proper answer. I've gone here for a few yrs now and have never had any issues. If they have what your looking for cool but no one has everything. The owner and all employees know what they are talking about and if they don't they will dire try point you to the person who knows the most about your request. I don't understand how people have any issues with anyone who works here. 1 of the few places where employees actually like there jobs and are happy to help you. Thank you all that work here and to the owner.

I am a novice RC customer. The staff here helped me find a good boat and buggy that my nephews really enjoyed.

Staff is not pushy. I enjoy the honesty.

Best customer service ever. Every. Single. Time.
I’m a novice RC car and truck owner and found this store by chance a couple of years ago when buying a crawler for my son and I to play with. Since then, I’ve bought a few high end cars for myself and another for a friend. The gentleman who runs the store has always gone out of his way to ensure my needs have been efficient and thoughtfully handled. When things break, as they will, he’s made repairs on the spot and resolved warranty issues with parts in hand - no questions or hassle. I leave the store completely satisfied every time. Again, the level of customer service is exceptional and their prices are competitive. You can buy their products online but you’ll never be replace their service and expertise. Well done guys.

10 seconds after I walked in one of the sales reps ask me if I needed help finding anything while browsing through the store all the other sales reps asked me the same question although I didn't need any assistance I appreciate the fact that help was available for me

They always are able to help with any questions I have with my RC collection. There are typically replacement parts and a large assortment of RC kits and ready-to-runs. They also have an indoor track on site with regular races.

These folks are very knowledgeable and care about helping others on their hobby adventure. They had what I wanted in stock. Great deal.

Place is great and so helpful. Didn’t try and upsell me, all around great guys. My sons motor went bad after the first week of having it and they upgraded it for me with no extra charge to me. I will always be a customer of hobby town in st. Charles !!
