The Dixie Cafe & Quick Stop

Great spot! The Dixie breakfast, pancakes, chicken biscuit, burgers, and sandwiches all come highly recommended. Nice back deck and front porch seating. It's super cute and historic in Keene. Also, it's a lovely drive around the area with some of the most beautiful horse farms and properties there are!

Comfort food done SO correctly. 12/10 recommend.
I got the grilled cheese with bacon but the burgers looked phenomenal as well.

My wife and I was told about this place from a buddy of mine. We absolutely love it! We can’t say enough about this place. Everyone is so kind and friendly. The food is delicious and they give you plenty! The fried taters are awesome! We love coming here and always look forward to our next stop. Breakfast or lunch they will do you right!

Anytime I have to take my hubby to work I stop in for breakfast. It is always hot, cheap and fast. You get a really good portion too. I have never been there where it wasn't super clean either.

We were in Nicholasville and looking for a local place to have lunch. Dixie Cafe is just a few miles from Nicholasville and near the intersection of Keene Rd and Harrodsburg Rd in Jessamine County. This place is amazing! Everything on the menu looked great. We asked some of the locals what was good and all of them said that their breakfast was amazing as well as their lunch items. For me, it was a tough decision between the 1/3 pound burger or the daily special which was the chili dog, fries and a drink. I had the chili dog and it was delicious. Great chili on the dog and the fries were good and crispy. We will definitely return here again and again when we are in the area.
A short trip off the main road in Keene, but definitely worth the drive!

This little restaurant is the absolute best! I love the Irish atmosphere here!! They have imported Irish candies and coffee and teas ect.... It's a little taste of home for us!! The service,food, feeling, location,and people are amazing!! I hope this spot is open for many years to come.. Everyone should be fortunate enough to experience the feel,energy,and food here!! Please visit!! I promise you will not regret it!

I stop in whenever I am passing through to get to Nicholasville. The last time I was in, my guest and I had a country ham sandwich that hits the spot. Ranging from a delicious muffin, milkshake or one of a kind dishes with the home cooked taste. Excellent place and friendliest of people.

The Dixie Café & Quick Stop's Chef Kelly & Kitchen Team are Awesome! The ingredients are fresh, and the daily lunch specials are not only on point, they're a great value, too! By the way, the Grilled Cuban Sandwich is #totallylegit

I have lived nearby and passed this place so many times most of my adult life and somehow never ate here. They are the perfect little home cooked breakfast cafe. Great atmosphere, clean, delicious food! Now that I’ve been, I’m sure I’ll be back regularly.

Pros:
1. CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN! Entire restaurant, store is pristine. Huge first impression. (and my #1 critique for a restaurant)
2. The customer base, locals who are obviously regulars are just downright wholesome, clean "good ole boys". Polite, pleasant, watched them clean and wipe off their tables before leaving. They know.
3. Wonderfully friendly down-to-earth staff.
4. FOOD: Generous portions and made-to-order food, yep, ya gotta wait on it to be fixed but so worth the wait (not fast food, this is the food your granny would've cooked) DEELISH~
5. Cant wait to try EVERY SINGLE THING on the menu. Breakfast was so amazing that now we have to see what lunch menu offers.

Great food and friendly service always make this a great stop. It's not a coffee shop, but they do have amazing homemade muffins. The menu is pretty straight diner-style and breakfast is served all open hours.

Hmmm ... only half my review posted. To continue, my favorite breakfast entry is the three egg scramble with potatoes. Add a scoop of their homemade salsa on top ... fantastic! So far, I have enjoyed every breakfast and lunch item I've sampled, but it's the combination of the food with the friendly and helpful staff that make this a 'must visit' for diner fans.

I have been here for breakfast several times and always enjoyed it! The food is wonderful! They have some really great "normal" foods, but also several combinations that are unique and really fun to try. I can't wait until the weather warms up and we can get out on the back porch again. Aside from the main cafe, their gifts and Irish groceries are great as well. The staff is especially friendly. I would definitely recommend taking the short drive to stop in and visit for breakfast or lunch!
