The Social Monticello

Fantastic! It’s so great to finally have place a downtown to come get a delicious drink at a reasonable price and good food. I have severe allergy to Olive oil which I know is one of the best oils to cook with but the manager and chef went out their way to make sure my food was safe.
Can’t wait to come back… I’ll get dessert next time maybe save them a little stress!
I ordered the zucchini fries, old fashioned and American mule! So good!

We came to this place for the first time, we live in Tallahassee and we always like to explore different places and today we decided to visit Monticello and we chose to eat at this The Social since it caught our attention.
The place has an excellent decoration, the service was very good and fast, but the concept of the restaurant is as if the name says it: It is for Socializing so the dishes are more for that, socializing with your friends or having a good time With family, I definitely have come back and try more options on the menu.

The most Awesome Place in Monticello! The service was fast and phenomenal. Everyone made you feel so welcome! The food was so delicious! I would highly recommend the zucchini, scallops and homemade desserts! The atmosphere was so refreshing! I definitely recommend The Social-Monticello for a relaxing fun evening!

I ate here in early January and had some of the best fried shrimp I have had in ages. The fries were good too. Waitress was very nice. Atmosphere was nice, even though there was a bar...didn't feel like a Bar Atmosphere. Limited menu but what I had was great. We ate inside, but they also have outdoor seating.

Jared needs to learn some manners, but Melanie and the quality of the food more than made up for his rudeness.

As a business owner I understand good help is hard to find. 😊

The Bacon Jam Burger and Smoked Fish Spread are out of this world! We will be back again anytime we are in town. 🥳

The social is a cute gathering place perfect for date night or a casual get-together. The huge TVs behind the bar make it friendly for sports fans to watch the game of their choice while having a beer.

I thought the menu was really well balanced. Plenty of shareables and the kind of upscale Southern fusion food you would expect to see in a place like this. Service was prompt and friendly, drinks were well made and so was the food. It was pretty busy for a Friday but we didn't have to wait too long for anything we ordered.

I don't live in Monticello but it was definitely worth the drive for a chance of scenery!

We had an amazing experience at The Social Monticello this past Thursday night! It was a birthday party for my mother. They were ready for us 15 minutes before our reservations and took our drink orders right away. The waitresses were always smiling and very attentive. The owner brought out complimentary appetizers, that were delicious! The waitresses brought my mom a beautiful bouquet of flowers and brought out an incredible Banana Foster dessert and sang, Happy Birthday! The chef came out to our tables to greet us. It was my first time at The Social, so happy we chose it. We will be back often!

Food was good, but menu is a little confusing as it's more tapas focused then regular meals. Steak for 2 is a good dish, but not really enough for 2 people for dinner.

Service was alright. There was definitely a bit of confusion going on with the staff, but the manager and owner were there helping everyone along.

Our group enjoyed their drinks.

They really need some kind of signage outside for people to find the location easier.

I'm still giving a 5 star review though after the gripes, because I still like the place and would enjoy coming back.

Food is average, service depending on who’s working is “ok” nice location and building. UPDATE…thank you to the owner of The Social for responding. We’ve been back twice now and the service and food is getting better every time. Drinks were awesome also! Love the smoked old fashioned. I’ve updated my star review to match the current performance of the staff. We’ll see you soon!

Went in today for their soft opening and WOW! The service was amazing from start to finish. The hostess was very kind and quickly sat me at the first available spot at the bar.
The bartenders were on their mark! They informed me about all the specialty cocktails and made sure I had a menu as soon as I ordered my drink. While I only stayed for two drinks, I can't wait to go back to try all the food. Everyone around me was ranting and raving about how good their plates were.

Delicious food. Great atmosphere. Friendly service! I'll definitely recommend this restaurant.

Worth going off the highway. We had calamari, shrimp and corn soup and zucchini, and loved it all. Sat at the bar and was served by the amazing owner. 11/10 dinner. Make sure to ask for some bread too!

First of all. I love how the Chef comes out to visit with his patrons. So cool. And the creative drinks. And the caprese salad, hands down best ever, wow, the sundried tomatoes, I could eat a jar full, and the smashed potatoes appetizer. Couldn’t get enough. The rustic atmosphere. I really want to see The Social succeed and plant long term roots. Please support them!

Very loud and more of a drinker my wings place that a nice restaurant. We will NEVER be back. The whole group agreed!!!!!

What a cool place. Great small town, friendly, warm vibe. Cool bar area and live entertainment on Friday and Saturday nights. Staff is super helpful and friendly. Food is great. A really great addition for Monticello.

Try the Caleb’s Quail!! You won’t regret it! Fun loving atmosphere. Can not wait until football season. Will be the go to spot.
