Big L's Bagels

We were driving up to pick our daughter up from college and were looking for a breakfast handheld. I have seen all the heat this place has taken and heard how good the food was. We were excited to give it a try. We were driving up 81 and placed our mobile order. The owner (Lenny) sent us a text message confirming our order and we responded with our ETA. Lenny greeted us when we arrived and handed our order to us. We chatted for a bit and Lenny talked us into some coffee also.
The customer area at the front was clean, small and full of history. The conversation was friendly and welcoming. The food was amazing and my only regret is that I waited so long to come out and try it. These were the best breakfast sandwiches we have had. I’ve had nothing this good in Northern VA or in any of the surrounding states during the last 8 years of traveling to volleyball tournaments.Big L’s Bagels is more than worth the trip and FOR REAL!

I consider myself a lox bagel connoisseur and this bagel did NOT disappoint. Absolutely delicious!!!!!!

Ordered a bagel sandwich & caramel latte. Both were to die for!! Wish I lived closer so I could grab one everyday. Half of the cafe was closed off, so we couldn’t sit down & eat, but there was a window counter we could stand & people watch. Loved it!

I was visiting Winchester for business and was advised to try Big L's. I wasn't disappointed. The bagel was fresh, delicious, and filling. I would definitely stop in again whenever I am in town.

The Dr. P is a delicious bagel! Will 100% get again. If you like bagels, a good atmosphere and are in downtown Winchester in the morning, go here and you won't be disappointed!

Best bagel sandwich in town. After living in DC for 6 years - these are better than any Ive found in DC, VA, or MD. Order ahead, and enjoy. Hand/homemade bagels make the difference. Always fresh to order.

Definitely the best bacon, egg, and cheese bagel sandwich I’ve ever had.

Ordered online and I did have to wait a few more minutes, but the atmosphere was so friendly that it didn’t even feel like a wait. The bagels were the best I’ve ever had. He even threw in some fresh bread that was delicious since we did have to wait a few minutes. Will definitely be recommending to family and coming back.

Having worked in restaurants a bunch , I can appreciate anyone brave enough to do a one man show. Online ordering was easy , and getting my food was as easy as walking in & asking for it. My wife usually complains about chewy bacon when we go out & I didn’t hear about that being a problem once.

The online ordering is to make the lives of everyone easier , time spent away from the kitchen means every order after that takes that much longer. Trust the process & enjoy your food ! Was a cool guy I’ll have to try again sometime

1st time visiting this establishment and I must say Big L did not disappoint! We ordered 'The Main Event' bagel and it was so delicious! The bagels are not your traditional hard to bite into bagels. His bagels were soft and fluffy, croissant like. The bacon was crispy and juicy. The egg was fluffy and flavorful along with cheddar cheese melted to perfection. Big L, thank you for the experience! I will definitely be back!!

This place is amazing. Drove over 1hr to get there after hearing all the hype. So glad I did. Hubs and I both got the breakfast bagel on the everything. Everything about this bagel sandwich was PERFECTION. Hot, chewy, so much flavor…loved every bite.

Ordered online. Super easy to do. Waited less than 1 minute in his super busy shop and was greeted / thanked. Lenny is polite and is a master at making the best bagels around.

Great bagel, great experience. We texted about the time when I would be there, chatted about how he makes the bagels while he made mine (Lenny says it's magic that makes them great, not the water like they claim in NY).

I love Lenny’s, I recommend it to everyone I know that’s awake before noon. That everything bagel is literally to die for. Very cute cafe, I always really enjoy looking around the walls while I’m waiting inside. Headiest place in Winchester thanks for the great food and good conversation every time I stop in!!

This. Was. Amazing!!! Didn’t know there was a 9ish minute wait, but it was so worth it! Definitely the best bagel I have ever had.

Best bagel I’ve ever had, hands down. We get breakfast here every time we’re in town and I crave these bagels when we’re not. Save everyone a headache and order online before you go! Says it very clearly outside but if you’re reading this review then you should know, order ahead. Lenny has a good system going. Scarfed my bagel down too quickly to get a picture but here’s a pic of my brother’s. Really go get one, you won’t regret it. Coffee is pretty good too!

My husband and I are from NY and these are more like rolls than what I think of as a bagel, but regardless it was all very good. My husband was happy with his sandwich, the egg was fluffy and the bacon was great quality, I did an everything bagel with cream cheese and it was really good. 100% recommend for a quick takeout breakfast. Coffee was also good.

Me and my bro Big J used the very convenient order online system and our order was ready right when we walked in. Lenny sweets is the man. Best bagel i’ve ever had. Gotta get the main event. 10/10

Great bagels, nice owner, easy ordering. Bagels are homemade so expect bold flavor on the everything bagel and fresh dough. Lenny the owner is super approachable and a good conversationalist. Stop in for a quick bite but make sure you order online either before you arrive or when you get there.
