Freer Field

We attended the Ashland Balloonfest and it was a lot of fun! They give out trading cards to kids for the balloons during the GlowUp.

The playground is a fun place to take the kids!!

Open field with a walking path that stretches around the field totaling almost 1 mile. Field hosts events such as balloon fest. It recently added a winter walk through the woods with festive lights and decorations for Christmas. All wheel chair accessible. A shelter has been built that can be rented and includes a small kitchen area and bathrooms. Currently bathrooms are open to the public from dawn to dusk.

The balloon festival was so much fun. Plenty of food trucks and activity tents. The hot air balloons were a sight to see.

It's a beautiful family park offering a brand new community center building (with restrooms), paved, dig-friendly, walking trails, and nice playground! In winter it's decorated along the trails for Christmas. Throughout the year, there are many events and community activities at this park.

A beautiful place for a walk in the woods, a family outing and so much more. Come see the colors of autumn first hand without driving a long distance!

Love going here every year for Balloonfest. The glow at night is fun, with a live band, and plenty of food vendors.

Nice evening with my parents. Loved the hot air balloon festival. We will definitely be back. Nice place to park for handicap people.

The Ashland Balloon Festival is truly something that can not be missed. I always take tons of pictures and I was so engulfed in all the beauty and the fun of the hot air balloons it completely slipped my mind 😅 The vendors offered some really good food, the lemonade was spectacular and I truly believe it is an Ohio tradition that will live longer than me 😻

Went and seen night glow at the balloon fest ,live band plenty of food and room to sit , just bring a blanket or lawn chairs

Wide open space for picnic - loved the annual Hot air balloon fest.

GREAT place to go on a walk or run. Really nice walking path and other dirt paths to take as well. Kid friendly, dog friendly and a beautiful environment. Bathrooms are clean and well maintained. Two different parking lots as well so plenty of parking.

Huge park with enough space to do anything. Really nice, small community center to rent out for small weddings or any event. The staff is very accommodating and helpful - however, no pets allowed.

Loved it. Great place for our Out of Darkness Walk. Paved path that goes through the woods. Nice new building for use for registration.

Visited for the annual Ashland Balloon festival. It was amazing. There is a nice playground for the kids also!

Love this park! The paved walking path is almost exactly 1 mile - great for goals. There's a wonderful accessible playground for kids to enjoy. And there are numerous trails through the woods crossing back and forth over the creek. Such great variety all in 1 place!
