The egg rolls and sauce are the best in town. Stir fry menu options are good. I recommend the triple crown as that is a unique option I've never seen at other places

Couldn't go inside and eat but I was taking home anyway. The food I got was very good the egg foo young was amazing and it's made the old fashion way with the best gravy 😁 and the cost was much better than others in the area wish I would have more cash on me would of given a bigger tip.
Will be going back soon to try something new with my egg foo young 😊

I’ve been eating here since I was an infant, the owner is beyond kind and sweet. I loooove the food. Especially the egg rolls! I really hope the business is doing well during the pandemic. My heart would shatter if it would have to close down. Definitely give this place a try, never judge a book by its cover ❤❤❤

This had to be the best Chinese food I’ve ever had. I got a standard General Tso‘s combo. The eggroll was extremely good, everything was super fresh, but the wontons I got came with this orange sauce that was out of this world. And the General Tso‘s was spiced with something so sweet and delicious but still an extremely decent General Tso‘s, you know? 🤤 try it. My mouth is still watering just thinking about it a few days later. Couldn’t believe I didn’t give them a review already, so I’m doing it at 2:30 in the morning 🤣 they are working hard to stay open during the pandemic, and allow people to pay from the entry way. Pretty awesome! 😋 And delicious!

I have been eating at SSC since 1989 and I have never had a bad meal. The food is great and fresh. What you will experience is the old fashioned Chinese restaurants. No shiny tiles, carpets. No white walls, chinese decoration. No bright lights, candles. They have been voted several times as best egg roll in the City Pages. The only thing that might be a little disturbing is the owner. He is not exactly the epitome of friendliness. But I go there to eat. And the eating is good.

If you've eaten here only one time, you'll be back. The owner's wife will remember you and if you tell her your name, she'll remember that, too! I love the variety of the buffet. It's my go-to for Chinese cuisine.

You will not find a better Chinese buffet that has the quality of personal service of the Southern China Cafe. The owner has an amazing memory and remembers everyone and there stories along with them. I enjoy eating here... it's an experience.

P.S. the egg rolls with pineapple sauce are WORLD class!

Best Chinese in the state of Minnesota! Not only is the food phenomenal but the owners are great too! Prices are extremely reasonable. If anyone travels through Faribault, MN they definitely need to check this place out!

Everywhere else has the same boring egg rolls. This place has the best ones all to themselves. Divine. Make sure to get the sweet and sour sauce to go with them.

I’ve always loved this place and they have delivered to me at least 30x in the last 3 years. Not sure why it says “no delivery”.
