Great Road Coffee

Great road offers much more than coffee; they offer food, snacks, merchandise, and a great place to work, study, relax, or socialize!
My go to drink is an iced coffee with English toffee. They use coffee ice so that as it melts it doesn't water down your drink- or if you drink it fast like me, you'll have a few extra sips of coffee after your done 😉
The iced coffee comes black and you can add your own creamer to your liking, which is great.
I also tried a hot seasonal white chocolate pumpkin dirty Chai which ended up being delicious as well. It came out to the perfect temp so I didn't have to wait to drink it.
The service is always great and super fast, my iced was done before my card finished processing and the hot was done before I finished getting my creamer mixed into the iced. I was on my was in a flash.
Their coffee menu is very broad and offers pretty much all of the options that I'm aware of (including non coffee options like tea) so there is something here for everyone! And their prices are very fair, they won't break the bank AND you're getting great quality service and products. I mean iced coffee starting at $3?! That's great!
The interior is an amazing view, especially with the stained glass windows. There is plenty of seating inside and outside. There is even a courtyard right outside.
My only complaint is that they close earlier in the day so I can't visit in the evening which is when I'm usually around.
I definitely recommend giving them a try!

What a beautiful place with excellent coffee and food! The space is open, colorful and inviting with stained glass windows and possibly original furniture. The owner, who works behind the counter, was friendly and told us about the place when we asked. The chicken salad was delicious as was the coffee. Full marks!

Delicious coffee and pumpkin bread! Totally cool respite just off the interstate for good local fresh coffee. Love the comfy, cozy, unique atmosphere in the repurposed church. Beautiful!

Beautiful inside! There was a variety of coffees and teas as well as cakes and such to enjoy along with them. They also serve coffee and tea based cocktails! Looking forward to visiting here again and trying the food!

What a gorgeous space! Our Chai is on point and the Apple Pastry we got is AMAZING! incredibly friendly and knowledgeable staff. The service was excellent.

It was a cute and peaceful place to study! I ordered a campfire mocha(seasonal drink) and also the vegetarian pita. I don’t like my coffee very sweet so I thought it was perfect, but I recommend asking for extra sweet if you prefer really sweet drinks! The pita was delicious and reminded me of a Philly Cheesecake but meatless!

The barista was very friendly ☕ The place is BEAUTIFUL and incredibly clean! Each table has a small sign indicating if it’s been sanitized and ready for use. The aesthetic is completely unique and to say the stain glass windows are stunning in an understatement! 😍

They are always friendly here. Food is excellent and drinks always hit the spot. Only downside is that they don't really have breakfast food before 8. So stopping in on the way to work is only for coffee or a baked treat.

Edited to add: They have premade breakfast now! I was expecting the breakfast sandwiches to have been made the night before and stores in their fridge. But no! They are warm and fresh! I can now take my daughter to get breakfast here before school as a treat sometimes!

Great Road Coffee is a MUST VISIT if one is passing anywhere near Christianburg, VA!!

We lunched in on chef made food and coffee that was carefully blended, ground and brewed.

Finally, the perfect coffee shop here in the NRV. I come here twice a week from Blacksburg. Great seating. Breakfast burritos with tasty salsa. And of course delicious coffee. Other coffee shops are always so cramped, but this place is so spacious and has a super cool atmosphere. And the chicken salad is delicious too.

Absolutely stunning interior. I could not even believe how beautiful everything looked. My husband and I just stopped by for a couple pastries on the go but I wish we had more time that we could have spent dining inside. My cinnamon roll was delicious and my husband enjoyed his blueberry treat and coffee. Next time, I'll bring my laptop with me and stay a while to get some work done while enjoying their delicious pastries.

First time stopping in. Noticed it right down the street from our Christiansburg office branch. The atmosphere was so nice! Staff was awesome. Definitely will be back!

It's always nice to see an old church building in an historic downtown get repurposed as a useful venue! The preservation is beautiful.

The coffee drinks seem sufficient, and service was prompt with a smile. A nice quiet respite in the middle of the day to prepare for a meeting. Probably a dozen or so other people in there, and I could barely hear any of them.

The coffee is always spectacular and the atmosphere is inviting. I look forward to the next time I grab a coffee there.

Great coffee, great space, great place to meet and eat in our town. Do yourself a favor and visit.

We had a wonderful experience at Great Road this morning. Coffee & food were delish for great prices. The amount of high quality seating and studying space rivals almost every other coffee shop I’ve ever been to. Definitely recommend!!

Great local coffee shop! Quiet and peaceful on a Monday afternoon. Ample seating (distanced!) with lots of four seater tables and chair options. My friend and I each picked up iced drinks. I got an oat milk mocha, she got a frappuccino with white chocolate and raspberry syrups.

Both drinks were made by friendly staff and weren't too sweet.

Lovely atmosphere for a long afternoon or a nice chat with friends. Ample parking as well. Would visit again!

What a lovely atmosphere. The coffee is fresh and locally roasted. The sausage balls they served were made from scratch as well. Owners and staff are super friendly and attentive. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for coffee in Christiansburg.
