Omg this place was so good ! I was just shopping around and I was FAMISHED ! They have breakfast sandwiches and danishes also so many sweets ! The Primary baker ( Priya ) was very helpful by recommending some things and I even tried something new and delicious! The Spinach & Feta Danish as well as a Matcha Latte and they both were outstanding! Will definitely be visiting here as often as I can ♥

Today was my first time at this location and I'll certainly be back! The Huntersville location is closer so the Cornelius location is a bit out of the way but worth the drive. I don't like super sweet coffee (like some of the big franchises) and theirs was perfect! It's very nice in there as well, super laid back and any place with Anthony Bourdain and Jimi Hendrix on the wall are pretty cool in my book.

Also, they get 10 stars for service, everyone was nice and the young man that helped me made sure my coffee was to my liking and offered up front to remake it if it wasn't.

Some of the tasiest coffee I've had. The main lady is wicked sweet and knows what she's doing. I got the Grinch and my hubby got the Naughty list specialty drinks. We were satisfied with everything. Inside is clean and eye catching. Service is lovely.

Cute spot. Room to sip coffee and work from my laptop comfortably. I had an ultimate chai, light in the sweetness, with an energy ball. Both good.

This location is the former Bakery 28. If you are familiar with Main Street Coffee in Huntersville, it is the same brand!

My mother-in-law had a doctor’s appointment in the area and she was in the mood for something sweet after her procedure, so we popped in.
I was curious about what replaced the former bakery.
We met Esther & Jessica (who introduced herself as their executive pastry chef) she is a sweetheart & her pastries are really a work of art. You can feel the love she has for baking.

Let’s talk about first impressions: this space is very inviting.

The baked goods are displayed like you are in a French bakery. We had just had coffee so I picked up an organic milk to have with the almond croissant. Delicious!

This would be a great place to have a meeting. They have the space to accommodate & they are ready and willing to help organize any event you have in mind.

I would suggest stopping by for an after dinner coffee & sweet.

Beautiful space with amazing coffee and tea options! The snacks they offer are very delicious as well. The service was friendly and helpful when trying to decide what to order from all the amazing options.

Main Street Bakery & Coffee on Catawba is the perfect stop for a delicious coffee drink or smoothie, and don't leave without a Nutella Coffee Cruffin, Pecan Sticky Bun, Vegan Chocolate Chip Banana Bread, Vegan Blueberry Scone, or heck splurge and take them all to the office, or home. You will be AMAZED by Jessica Walters, Exec Bakery Chef's artistry in her OH SO YUMMY TREATS!

Stopped in at Bakery 28 for the first time after dinner at the Harp & Crown across the street this evening, 3-16-21. First of all, it smells heavenly when you walk through the door. It was around 5:30 when we arrived, and according to Google they close at 6, but they were still obviously working in the kitchen because the smells were fresh. The atmosphere is clean, fresh, and chic, and the cakes and desserts in the cases look absolutely astounding and irresistible. They have a large selection of vegan and gluten free options which my date was enthusiastic about. She ended up ordering a coconut gluten free cupcake, and I ordered one of the mini "Girl Scout Peanut Butter" cheesecakes (capped with part of a Girl Scout Tagalong, as well as a Key Lime tart. Both the cheesecake and the tart were scrumptious - absolutely devine. I sampled my date's cupcake and it was also delicious. Will plan to drop in again if we're ever back in Cornelius.

My husband and I like to find coffee shops where we can sit and play board games while eating good desserts and baked goods. The bakery shop is a cute, clean, with a great variety of desserts, pastries and coffee. It has indoor sitting; a vegan and gluten free selection of desserts; breakfast croissants, and lots of options for coffee. I had the chocolate mousse, breakfast croissant and an oat milk late. All were great. If you are around the area is worth visiting them.

Bakery 28 was recommended for a special cake and cookies. I had an excellent experience with Keli and the rest of the staff there. Clear communication, ease of transaction, and all items turned out better than we could have imagined!

The Blush Red Velvet was delicious! Cookies were perfect...not dry or crumbly. Not to mention all were decorated exactly as we envisioned!

The young man we celebrated is now serving our country. I appreciate Bakery 28's assistance with this!

One of the best cakes I've had ever. The staff were all so nice and helpful and created the perfect cake for our baby shower. You definitely should shop here!

Update 11/5/22: I emailed the Bakery a picture of a Harry Potter cake I wanted to have made for my wifes birthday. The price seemed reasonable and the result was absolutely perfect. Practically identical to the original picture, with some improvements. 10/10 satisfied and will buy again soon.

Excellent bakery, this is the ONLY bakery we use in town. We also love to support a local and woman owned small business!

They carry traditional bakery items, higher caliber items such as domes and petit fours. They always have a selection of vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options.

They have hands down the best croissants in town! Some days they sell out very early as it appears not to be a secret.

We have had a few specialty items made including a birthday cake for a relative that was a Swedish Princess cake. Even though it is not a listed option on their website Chef Keli was able to whip it up for us with a couple days notice. She even dyed the marzipan to the birthday gal's favorite color :)

At Christmas, we ordered a tray of cookies to give to a local vet's office. They totally knocked it out of the park the tray was a perfect mix of many different items they carry cookies, brownies, petite fours. The office we gave it to LOVED it. Chef Keli and her team even created super adorable dog puns to put on the tray. The vet's office employees were passing the box around to take down Bakery 28's info so they could use them in the future. It was a smash hit!

Employees are very helpful and friendly. The whole experience and shop is a very happy helpful place.

Main Street Bakery and Coffee is our go-to coffee shop! We love the Main Street Huntersville location, so we were more than thrilled when Main Street in Cornelius opened. While still working (or should I say eating) our way through the bakery menu, the banana bread is a must! Be sure to pick up a bag of coffee while you’re there from Disco Coffee Roasters- it’s USDA organic which is a huge win! You can’t help but fall in love with this shop and everything they offer. Main Street Bakery and Coffee is a must when visiting Lake Norman!

I walked in just to get a fork not to buy anything. There was no-one else there and I said I was not going to buy anything but the owner was still very nice to me, I am 14 BTW, and she even gave be a free brownie and was fine with me taking the fork, 100% one of the most hospitable establishments I have ever been to. It is clear that they don't do it for the money but actually care about their customers.

This place is so special! Esther, Lindsay and Priya go out of their way to be so kind every Saturday!

Only have gotten coffee here, the calm bean latte. It’s vanilla and lavender flavor and it’s so delicious, I’m hooked! Cute little place, and the baristas are nice every time I visit.

Great place all around---food, coffee, atmosphere, service. I like the vibe and consider this spot a treat in every way. Vegan- friendly too. The vegan white cake with coconut whip cream and fresh strawberries that I ordered for my birthday was delicious and beautiful. Could not have been more pleased.
