Irene's Café

Chill and classic diner in an awesome location. Not sure what took me so long to visit. Warm greeting when you walk in and great service throughout our visit. Went for the country fried chicken breakfast-so yummy! Perfect portion size-I ate it all and enjoyed every bite. Great coffee!

I love Irene's! The staff is always friendly and attentive, even when super busy. The atmosphere is comfortable and casual, it's a great place to dine alone or with friends. The patio is perfect for people watching while enjoying the best Mimosas in Fresno. The portions are huge and the food is delicious! I love that the owners are there working and supporting their team. Supporting local businesses has never been more important, and this business is worth supporting!

Super friendly staff. Food was amazing. Small diner with booths inside and patio seating outside. The old diner booths are worn but don't let that discourage you. Food arrived hot and well seasoned. Large portion.

Everything was good just gotta try something else to be for sure if it's a place I'd go back again and again..... California burger was pretty damn good tho with the half and half onion rings and fries

Irene’s in Fresno’s Tower District has employees with exceptionally good customer service. I’ve been there a few times. The last time I went was with my mother. She enjoyed the food as well. I really like the Trio menu option. I highly recommend this business.

Great food. Great service. Waiter was very attentive and came by frequently. Atmosphere felt like it longed to be what it once was and felt like it had once been the happenin' place, but is sadly now an untapped local resource. I even saw the owner there. That is incredible. And my older date told me amazing stories about it and the owner's heyday.

My friends brought me here for lunch on my birthday and it was quite nice! The wait staff were friendly and knowledge, good service overall.
The food itself was also very good. I ordered the Monaco sandwich with fries, and I didn't think I would get full but I did and was tasty and satisfying. My friend gave me a piece of their BBQ bacon burger and it was really good as well.
The location is right in the center of the Tower District. You can dine in and sit outside or inside. The wait for our food to arrive was around 15 minutes, but it was worth it. I will come back again!

Food it wasn't that good. I took my mother there I my self never been there. It was mine and mother's 1st time. Food wasn't that good maybe is that we chosen the wrong. Breakfast plate we got the enchilada humlet. But I will take my mother and son again and try a different plate. .

I had lunch with a friend and it was very good. I had the chicken salad and he had the egg salad sandwich with fries. Very delicious. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was fun. I'll go here again.

The young lady was very helpful smiling and eager to assist my son and I with whatever requests we had even though it was a half hour before closing. She made it work and still kept a personable attitude with a smiling face I wish ppl in the industry all were Luke this nice young lady.

Great atmosphere, being in the bustling heart of Tower District. The serving staff are attentive. They don't skimp on the patties on their burgers. Great flavor! Also, don't forget to try their ranch dressing.

Martin makes everone feel like family. He is a valuable valuable part of the restaurant.
Every person I refer there always has wonderful things to say about him and his warm service.
The burgers are delicious. They have won many awards.
It is the place to hang out when there are events happening in the Tower District and grab something amazing to eat. The pastas for dinner are mouth watering. Oh and the bread pudding, that Irene personally makes the sauce for is to die for.
I used to work there for 5 years and Irene & her crew are top notch.

Great place. We didn’t know where to go because we had our cat with us and not many places had patio to eat outside. We found this place out of nowhere and I don’t regret of going . They were pretty nice and the servers brought to our cat even before we asked for it. Thank you all!

I was disappointed 3 times already usually the food is really good but they messed up on my order and gave me hash browns instead of country potatoes, my boyfriends burger bun was burnt, and my recent visit my fries were over cooked. I couldn't go back because the first order I was already across town in Clovis the other two I was already at work and I don't get out until 1am and couldn't go back because I started at 2:30pm. I forgot to call because I usually get busy forget and then they're closed.

OMG!! Cali Burger with egg & side of Onion Rings. Excellent!! Lots of outdoor seating, bring your friends, you'll love it here. Big Thank You to the Kitchen Staff who made this Beautiful Burger!!! Perfect!👌

Great breakfast! I got the daily special, Eggs Benedict w Hot Links, it came with a mountain of homestyle potatoes. Meal was delicious, wait staff was kind & attentive. This is the kind of place that deserves your dough. Also: nice big coffee cups!

Irene's is a staple in tower.
BLT's are good here and I've had great burgers here.
If you haven't tried this cafe, you should.

Great food. Filling, large portions for the money. Friendly staff, attentive and helpful upon making decisions with the menu. There is a variety of dishes to choose from throughout the day. Definitely recommended. Pictured is the enchilada omelet with additional meat (carnitas), tortillas and home potatoes.

Always a great place to eat. Brunch is good and the mimosas are huge and not too expensive.

Service was great and food was good. I’ll definitely be back.
