Cafe Pizzaria

I come here often. The pizza is always of great comfort, and it tastes quite nice. The atmosphere is a wonderful drawback to the 80s, somewhat dim. Additionally, it has small tables, chairs, and bathrooms, but not too small. It used to have hippie beads in the doorway, but no more.

Authentic Greek and Turkish meals as well as your typical Italian meal choices. Wonderful desserts . The venue is great but not necessarily a date night out place. The emphasis here is on the remarkable food and huge menu.

The pizza is delicious. My husband loves the crust (“thin, perfectly crisp”) and the staff is sooo kind and friendly that my too-young son wants to work there some day.

Wonderful pizza and HuGE salad with more cheese than I have ever seen on a salad 🙂 The bread sticks were awesome as well.
Our server was just adorable and had the best fun personality.
This was a great dining experience and the outside seating on this beautiful day was a definite plus.

We had a pizza with pepperoni and mushrooms, a mozzarella salad, and an order of onion rings. All of the food was excellent and really exceeded our expectations! My husband said it was the best pepperoni and mushroom pizza he's ever had and the best onion rings ever. The salad was huge and loaded with shredded mozzarella. Our food came quickly, and the service was outstanding. It was fun watching the cook cutting up the pizzas and strombolis. It was clearly not his first day on the job--an "expert marksman" with the pizza cutter. We devoured the salad and the rest of the onion rings, so there's only one in the picture. Lol! I highly recommend!

I remember attending IU in 1973-77 and would always sit in the same booth and eat steins and an ice cold COKE. Staff is always friendly, owner is in the place and makes amazing Stromboli. I get
It every time and have for over. 50 years, and the amazing sweet bread n butter pickles on the side if requested. Free refills on soft drinks. Amazing place. The regular strom is not a BBQ strom so I cannot check the box below because the regular (original)) not listed. This restaurant is the rREAL DEAL, Is like an old friend .

We drove hour and half to two hours to explore Bloomington and stumbled on this place … was definitely worth the drive and the staff was friendly job well done

If you haven't tried their pizza, you haven't had the best pizza in Bloomington. The original owner opened the first pizzeria here in 1953. I'd recommend the pepperoni pizza.

I was passing through town, and I had *the best* pizza here I've had in years! I wish I had a similar pizza joint in my hometown!

I hadn't been here since I graduated and this Stromboli was what I needed in my life. I LOVE places that stay true to themselves, could not recommend them more. BBQ Stromboli or the veggie Stromboli add BBQ and ranch, wow. Also the pickles RULE! ENJOY!

Good food, good service! The pizza is made fresh to order, but it is well worth the (short) wait.

I came to the restaurant around 10:45am. This was my first time in the resturant even though ive lived in bloomington for around 3 years. Ive always wanted to try it but, I had always passed by till today. They technically open at 11. One if the workers let me in early which was very kind of them they were all very nice. I ordered sausage and pepperoni pizza as I do at all pizza resturants the first time I go to them. I do this because, it honestly doesnt get more basic than that. I feel if you mess up the basics the rest of the food will follow. The breadsticks came to my table first they were like soft warm edible pillows perfectly cooked! Then the pizza came and it was amazing too both hot and fresh! I was very impressed by the experience as a whole the hospitality spirit is very strong with this pizzeria I will defintly be returning! I am very happy I finally stepped in to the restaurant and if you read this thank you for surving me!

Classic Hoosier pizza place. Nothing fancy, just good food and service. We ordered a Hot Ham & Cheese sub and a Stromboli online for carryout. The process was smooth and the food was great. The staff were friendly.

Super sweet staff. Our waitress was really sweet and attentive and the place had a very calm atmosphere. It was perfect for a date or just to sit and study while you eat. We got the buffalo pizza which was amazing!

We came in for a late lunch. It was not very busy. The waitress came over immediately. She was very friendly. We ordered mozzarella sticks for an appetizer. They came out very fast. Loved them. We also ordered pizza which, as always, was delicious! Thin crust with generous toppings. We have been coming here for years and they never disappoint! The only complaint I have is they need to update their Air conditioning system. The past 3 times we have been in it has been very warm!

Stopped in last monday during the busy rush and our server was Gabby. Even though she seemed to be very busy and had a lot of tables, she definitely always made sure she was taking good care of us and got us what we needed. The pizza was good, not the typical pizza I’m used to, being from Chicago.

The pizzas, the storms, the mozzarella salads are all awesome. Service was first rate
