Islander Drive Inn

Stopped in at the Islander Drive Inn for a quick bite. Had a mini loco moco and it hit the spot. Right proportion of gravy to meat and rice. The Mac salad was very good. Next time I will get the full plate so I can have two eggs.
Place was clean and the guy who helped me was very nice.

A place with delicious platters, the rice was nice and the chicken + beef was literally godly.
Sure the decorations are considered old by now but they’re still pretty cool in an old kind of way, very nice and comfortable.

My family and I live fairly close by. We decided to give this place a try one night and we loved the food. When I arrived to pick up my order I was greeted with a warm welcome. The cashier was nice and polite to me just like she was when I ordered on the phone. unfortunately I didn’t catch her name. The food was still nice and warm when I got home. My family and I agreed the food was good and saved this place as a place we’d like to come back to. I went today to grab a late lunch for us. Was still yummy and the food was nice and warm. The portions are good, but then again I don’t eat much so what may be a good portion for me might not be considered a good portion for you. I don’t have to wait long and I’m always greeted when I come inside. The same cashier as last time was working today. I definitely need to ask for her name next time lol!!! Because there will be a next time!

Typical drive-in joint. French fries was a bit pricey. Honey Garlic chicken plate was the bomb.

Fantastic spot for some delicious food. We took the family here on the way back to Colorado and had an awesome dinner. This is a smaller establishment but it still felt spacious. We tried steak, chicken, coconut shrimp, and fried oysters. This is tucked away in a shopping center and was difficult to find but worth locating. The cashier was exceptionally patient as our kids took additional time to figure out what they wanted.

According to my sibling, this place had the best honey garlic chicken. Unfortunately, s/he didn't order the honey garlic chicken, so s/he kept stealing mine! I tried some of her/his chicken katsu though, and it was delicious! Unfortunately, the restaurant took a while to finish my order and had to confirm what I ordered too. Regardless, lovely meal. I just wish they used less plastic.

Definitely set the bar for Loco moco! Excellent food, excellent service, speedy delivery! It is absolutely fantastic, and I will definitely try to make another trip if only for the want of amazing Hawaiian style food!!!

Gotta start off with the best plate lunch I ever had. The Garlic Honey Chicken!! Amazing plate lunch spot in Moanalua / Salt Lake area. They give great portion sides. More than enough for the prices. Fast service and super friendly. I have eaten here 4 times and have never been disappointed in the quality of food. Ate so quickly forgot pictures. Once you try their food, you will understand 🙂

Pretty solid local spot. Not busy, and food is always pretty good. Prices are really affordable too. Def a place to check out

Good local food but it's a bit sweeter and more ginger than similar drive-ins. The staff was efficient and pleasant, but I wouldn't say friendly.

Fyi They currently have signs all over saying they aren't participating in the discount coupon/card for the shopping center.

Located in Salt Lake Shopping Center. It's always freezing inside. Food took awhile to come. My fave here is Pork Chop with Mushroom Gravy.

Tried the fried fish fillet dish and it was delicious. Food was prepared very fast, just 6 min for three orders. Worth trying.

I have been going here ever since I moved to the Salt Lake area. That's about 15 years today. They show no signs of slowing down! I love their honey garlic chicken plate lunch as it is a local favorite they have there, and in my opinion it's their best seller as well. And for a pretty good reason... Great customer service and competitively priced!

I phone ordered and it took only 10 minutes to pick it up, BBQ pork is very good, I will return and give them my business.

The mini stew plate was good maybe should have gotten the large. Food has been good here everytime I've eaten here. Kinda pricey though but I understand. Also if owners reading this put a tip option on your credit/debit purchases.

The beef stew is awesome. I just wish they never run out. The fried chicken, laulau and salmon are yummy too. It is a great place to hang with friends and family. The music is good. You never get bored

[FOOD] Definitely a fan of the HONEY GARLIC CHICKEN and the FRENCH FRIES. While I’m not usually a fan of honey this combination of honey and garlic on top of the crispy chicken definitely works. Love the crispy golden fries that they serve here.

[SERVICE] Nice, fast friendly service.

This place has very good food, I love the bbq mix plate, the chicken, the ribs and the steak all are delicious.

Good local food. Ok portions.

My go to bbq meat teriyaki and fried fish!
