I went in and needed help with some boots asap. I needed them for my trip to dodge ridge for the day. Octavio was the team member in the section and he helped me find so many different pairs! I kept trying to find something in my size and no complaints at all he kept running back to find something that would fit. The service was awesome.

Great customer service. I was looking for skates for my son. They didn't have them at their location and the manager took the time to check other stores for me. They even gave me a 10% discount for traveling to the other location.

Store is really clean and all organized. I have been to many big 5 locations and I can definitely say they do not all show that level of care. If you haven't yet, sign up for the 1day deal emails. I am always getting g major deals. Today I picked up a speaker that was full price in store no sale but with the 1day deal email I saved $50.99

Went to buy an air mattress, and they were on sale, and it was a really good price too. Bought other camping equipment too at a good price, like hiking boots and a fishing rod. Very helpful service too.

An employee there, I think his name was Clayton, really helped me when I needed to shop for work shoes in a hurry. He understood my requests, gave me space to try things out, walked through the section frequently so that he could help me and other customers, and was very forgiving of the mess my 1 year old son was making. Great hire, BIG 5.

P.S. a shopping cart could have kept my kids contained, just saying.

Best retail prices on items like Adidas hats, clearance items is way to go for low prices

I was lost among rows and rows of merchandise, anxiety was rising and I rued the moment I decided to shop in store. That is until Paul found me wandering aimlessly in the aisles and unpromptedly asked if I needed any help. I gratefully accepted and my distress dissipated immediately. Thank you, Paul, for your kindness and help.

Great customer service and products, great prices

I love shopping there for the last 30 years. This is one of my favored stores. The manager, Greg, is so polite and helpful. I have bought all kinds of outdoor and sports items, clothes, etc. I appreciate that they enforce the mask mandate. Im older than 50, and I don’t want to get the virus. Thanks to the whole store team.

The two young men in the shoe department were VERY helpful. They brought the shoes in the right size to me. I was unable to get them myself, so they were AWESOME and so polite too. The cashiers greeted us as we walked in the door and they helped my nephew and I find the exact items he needed for football. The store was clean, well stocked and all of the employees were genuinely friendly. We will be returning to this location when track season comes around!

They were awesome. I needed an ice chest. Im so glad I stopped in there. They had a better selection then the big box stores. Not only that, but the cashier was very kind. Bottom line, stop in and check it out.

If you can't find kiddie pools anywhere, this is the place to get them at. They have two sizes, the regular size ones you normally see for 12.99, then a larger size for 21.99. Just got it today, can't wait to use it.

Big 5 is my go to spot for any and everything sports related, they have a great shoe display and lots of other non sports related things.. The one in Modesto staff is super cool and their so helpful without giving you attitude..
