I love going to this coffee shop. I thought I was a coffee snob, but Kris has me beat. This has really brought the best tasting coffee and drinks into my life. The scones are amazing, too. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. The Cafe is in an amazing, old brick building. When he and his wife had it built out, they had it done in a really industrial feel, keeping it looking and feeling historical. Lots of wood that's burned and finished to give it an aged look, exposed beams, it is a very beautiful environment. On Tuesday night, they have a games night. They not only offer traditional Cafe items but also have coffee brewing items, scales, and all the Grounding Swag you need. Tee shirts, knit hats, which I wear and its so comfortable and warm. When you go, park around the back in spots with a 'C' marking, for Cafe. The building next to it is the old furniture factory, I think, but it's luxury apartments now. They did a phenomenal job here, I love my time in this Cafe.

First off, I’m a sucker for mezzanines, so bonus points for that. (There is also an indoor courtyard of sorts on the first floor that appears to be heated) I also appreciate buildings being repurposed instead of staying vacant or being torn down, and this old factory is just that. It is a nice place to come a get some work done or just enjoy the sunshine pouring in through the windows. Also a nice date spot as there is plenty of room. And the coffee is very good, to boot! I’m enjoying a Uganda single origin in the photo with full bodied chocolate and what I think is some dark fruit in the background. (Plum, maybe?)

Hidden away from the road and far enough away from York, this place is quaint and sweet in it's originality and attention to detail and quality. They create an espresso shot like no other shop in the area (to my knowledge), and they focus on the flavor of the coffee, not drowning it in sweetness. The staff here is super friendly too, which is a plus. The atmosphere in the building is awesome, I love the hardwood and brick interior. Highly recommend the drive out here if you want to try something more authentic of the cafe experience. It's pricey, but you get what you pay for.

Loved this place, I'm hoping to get there again soon. Even my children loved it and asked me to go back.
Coffee taste is amazing, personnel is friendly, atmosphere is very inviting and calm, facility is VERY clean, and they have many interesting table games. I'm really hoping to bring the rest of my family over there soon. 🩷☕
(Price was decent too. I'd rather pay $6-$7 for a 12oz latte at a local coffee shop than at an already-millionaire chain... 👀)

Just visited Grounding for the first time with my husband and 2 grown kids. First thing I'd like to say is the environment was very healthy for 2 of us with sensory issues. The lighting is warm and not harsh, has a quiet library-like feel, the brick feels earthy and grounding and the view through the many windows is lovely. They did a beautiful job of creating a peaceful and absolutely beautiful space.
Our family is vegan so we appreciated the choice of non dairy milks, and the coffee and chai were delicious. The baked goods were on the dry side, but I don't think they make them there and we were there at the end of the day, so maybe in the morning they would be better.
We definitely plan to go to the Tuesday game nights. Glad to have something fun to do in the area in an environment that feels really good!

Very good coffee. Atmosphere was amazing and relaxing. The gentleman who was working there seemed very overwhelmed. I wanted to help him. Food was delicious.

Kind, knowledgeable, and passionate staff making good coffee without any artificial ingredients in an inviting atmosphere that has mix of industrial and natural accents. To park, turn right at the road sign before the gate, go past the building and it's on the left.

Here, the new coca oat milk latte is not merely a drink but a poetic indulgence; a fusion of earthy cacao and silken oat milk, each sip is a fiery sonnet that warms the spirit. The açaí bowl is a canvas, painted with the vivid purples of açaí, the lush reds of fresh berries, and the golden hues of tropical granola, a masterpiece of taste that nourishes the body as art does the soul. Grounding Coffee transcends the ordinary, offering an experience where every visit is a verse in the ongoing poem of daily life.

Coffee is excellent. Set back from the road in a refurbished warehouse (brick), the atmosphere is welcoming and open. Look for the smokestack. Big windows and lots of light. The owner is very friendly and very knowledgeable about coffee. The menu is healthy. Although I'm a sucker for sugary drinks that are unhealthy, you can't get those drinks here. They do serve more naturally processed sweeteners, like maple syrup. I'm alway glad I made the choice for grounding's coffee as opposed to the less healthy alternatives elsewhere. Plenty of seating. FYI, there are a bunch of designated parking spots for the coffeeshop BEHIND the store. The ones in front of the store are designated for the luxury condo that occupies the rest of the building.

Great coffee. Nice atmosphere. I would come here more often if the chairs were nicer. Not really well suited for reading. Still a rad place though.

I ordered an acai bowl and a decaf latte. Loved both! They don't use artificial sweeters or flavors but instead offered some spices to add flavor. The atmophere is wonderful! I enjoyed adding another page to my art book while here. :) Wish they had more tea options however.

This coffee shop is located in the old Red Lion Table Company building and it is fantastic. For anyone who loves coffee, this is a great place to go. The staff and shop are very well knowledgeable in coffee, gave great service, and provides a great ambiance. It seriously rivals some of the best coffee shops I’ve been to in the USA, an absolute must go spot.

Delicious coffee experience crafted with passion. The different infusions add to a wonderful base flavor, the only coffee in the area I drink straight black. Very relaxed atmosphere in the re-used factory building, great place to spend a couple of hours on the work laptop.

When walking into this shop the very first time, not only are you welcomed by smiling faces and a beautiful space, but the coffee is outstanding. I have always been the person to go get the sugar filled coffee, with syrups and fake flavors. I was amazed at Grounding, when I could ACTUALLY taste the coffee and how delicious the flavor of that alone is, but when I found that sweetening it just a tad with the natural sweeteners available to me I have learned to really like coffee for what it is. It blew my mind, and I’m grateful to have learned to love something done so differently than I was accustomed to and can appreciate healthy coffee, to the point of never wanting to put my money into a chain that doesn’t really care about the coffee itself. Kris, is very knowledgeable and talented in his craft. The people that work there have been nothing but welcoming. And the environment really is something I think was a job well done.

Ok! So! I’m very hard to please as I like high quality!
So first this place is impeccable clean gorgeous inside! I love It! But the coffee! WOW! This place is next level! Class and taste!! First off My coffee was made with macadamia milk vegan, non dairy with the best tasting espresso I ever had ! My husband also had ginger in his! The ingredients are all natural! And trust me my stomach knows.we are from Maryland but built a home in Dallastown, PA
And we were getting coffee from this place in York on Belmont. I thought that was the best York County had to offer until today! If you want the best coffee here! Go to Grounding! You will absolutely positively loooooove your drink! It’s like my very one personal barista and one of a kind selections! Rich! In taste and the barista Adam! Was very professional and cute! Guy! 😀 while suggested great options !! This place can’t be beat by anyone! And We have drank coffee all over the world!!! This is our new home!!! BTW great place to study! Work! Read! Meditate etc!!!!

Love this place! So sad we're leaving the area right as they opened. A great place to bring your furry friend on the covered outdoor space. The space is unique and much cooler than anything else Red Lion/York has to offer! The coffee is delicious, well crafted and served in personalized ceramic mugs. I feel like I'm at home - but with better coffee! I've tried the acai bowl and homemade granola bar and have been pleasantly surprised with how tasty these healthy treats are. 10/10 recommend stopping in!

Highly recommend! You may consider me a coffee snob. I enjoy a high quality coffee in a nice comfortable environment. This isn't your cheap coffee. And the price is incredibly reasonable the product. Keep doing a great job. I will be sending lots of people your way.

If you've never been here you must go! I'm not a coffee drinker, the smoothies is what I go for! Stop by today! The building is amazingly beautiful! According to friends the cough is delicious and the baked goods are delightful.

Was visiting from out of town and was really happy to stumble upon this coffee shop. There really is nothing like it in the York area. The building is beautifully done and there is plenty of seating upstairs. I had an espresso shot which was very tasty. The Columbian whole beans I purchased were an excellent light roast. I'd highly recommend checking them out if you are into good coffee.
