Gillice Italian Ice & Hand Dipped Ice Cream Mobile

My girlfriend and I bought some ice cream from Gill today. He was so kind to us and very friendly. We stopped in and came back an hour later to actually buy the ice cream and he remembered us. He made us feel welcome and like we were a part of the community! He even gave us some candy! Gill Ice is a wonderful, family-friendly business!!!

I stumbled upon Gill's Ice on a trip back home to visit friends and family. The location is great and I highly recommend it after a long walk on the New Freedom Trail. There are plenty of places to park for a walk that end with a nice intermission of a tasty treat.

My friend and I stopped and had an ice with the owner and not only did he treat us like family he talked to me and treated me as if I was his own son. The energy and love coming from this place truly remind you what small business is all about. The couple opened the spot in the middle of COVID and wants nothing more than to put a smile on people's faces during challenging times.

I got mango Italian ice with vanilla ice cream in between and man was it good. Im not a huge sweets guy but I know next time I come back to PA to visit my family I'm gonna make a point to make it back here.

Whether you're looking for a new place to go on a fun easy date with a loved one or an Italian ice for the road I couldn't recommend Gill's Ice more.

We stopped here after biking on the Heritage Rail Trail County Park. We met Gil, who was very friendly, and he gave us tastes to help make a decision... All were great! I went with the "Gillato" with hand-dipped vanilla ice cream and mango ice: it was excellent! Gil also explained other parts of the town, local events, and other local businesses. It was fun talking with Gil, and a great place to stop for dessert! We plan to go back!

Excellent Italian Ice shop... great selection of flavors, the service was great. We love supporting a small business instead of a big chain... The owner, Gill, makes you feel welcome... we will be back.

The Gil Ice truck came to my neighborhood and he was one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. Plus the ice cream is amazing. My son literally kept saying ‘it has just the right taste’ over and over!!

This place is absolutely amazing! Owners are very friendly and their Italian ice is out of this world. My family has decided to go at least once a week. It is such a treat and especially when the people working there are so wonderful.

We tried Gillice in New Freedom for the first time today. It was amazing! I highly recommend the Rainbow Gillati. The Italian ice was smooth and delicious. The owners were super friendly and the shop was clean and inviting. We will definitely be going back soon---working on filling our punch cards so we can earn our free Gillati!

Great new addition to New Freedom, Gill Ice . Great selection of Italian Ices and hand dipped Ice Cream. Right off the rail trail - able to grab a treat and walk over to the benches and park at the New Freedom Gazeebo.

Simply the best Italian ice I have ever had. Visit New Freedom, ride the train or not, but don't miss Gil's Italian ice.

Friendly service along with some good Italian Ice (personal favorite is the Mango). Whether you're passing by on the trail or you're simply in town, would definitely recommend checking this place out!
