La Jefa Mexicana

This was a nice little place. Clean and friendly atmosphere. The food was hot and fresh, pretty tasty overall. The drinks were amazing. The bartender there really knew her mixes! Everyone was very attentive to us tonight and I thoroughly enjoyed my night here. My partner and I left feeling great! Will definitely be coming back!

There’s absolutely nothing negative I can say about this place. The food is delicious, the service is great, and the drinks are perfectly crafted. The food comes quickly, even during a rush. I sat at the bar and had such a wonderful experience. The bartender knew what she was doing and took care of me well. Not only serving the bar, but waiting on tables as well. I highly recommend the “Purple Gatorade” drink!

Best place to get STREET TACOS AND BIRRIA in a 40 mile radius! Also had other great choices on the menu with TRUE TRADITIONAL TASTE.. I loved the layout of the place and enjoyed my mojito while in town working.. Highly recommended and great hospitality! 💪🏽👍🏽💪🏽👍🏽💪🏽👍🏽

Their street tacos are very good. I got the AL Pastor Street tacos. And chips and salsa. You have to pay for the chips and salsa but it's worth it. I really like the salsa. Chips were ok and they come already salted so you probably don't want to add more. The price is $3. If you can't afford that then you probably can't afford to eat out. I visited on a Friday afternoon. Food came out quickly. Service definitely needs improvement. The tables and chairs seem to be low quality. The food is good though. I want to come back here and try the bacon wrapped jalapenos. Overall I would recommend this place. I might recommend you place an order to go.

From going to a food truck to a restaurant takes a lot of work and not realizing how much work was needed for the building. The place is still learning but it’s family own and the owner has come a long way. I will say the food comes out fast even though it is busy. Please check out the place but keep an open mind. They are still learning the way!

We are new to town and have been spoiled with some pretty amazing Mexican style restaurants in the past. I was very pleased to see when La Jefa was opening a brick & mortar location. Our first time trying La Jefa was 3.16.2024, we will be back!! We were promptly greeted at the door, for our style of lunch that day we chose to sit at the bar. It was clean, the music was loud but not too loud, it made the ambiance just right. You could hear the kitchen staff buzzing and a number of tables having conversations, just what you hope for in a busy restaurant. We had a couple alcoholic beverages; I had a Ranch Water and my husband had a Michelada. The chips and salsa were very good, although it’s not free, the salsa seemed like it was made in-house and had a great flavor of lime and cilantro. It was just as it should be. And the chips were great and crispy and nicely salted. I could go on about our meal but I imagine no matter what you order, you’ll be pleased. I hope the staff knows just how appreciated they are. I am looking forward to going back. The pricing was fair. It’s nice to experience a place of their caliber here in McPherson, being as there aren’t many dine in places around. Keep it up!

Just had another great experience at LA Jefa. Food is delicious & the menu is expanding every time. If you sit at bar area it will not disappoint The owner Dora is amazing & her staff is excellent.

We had the burritos last Sunday after church, and they were delicious. Very gracious.
It is nice to have a different restaurant open on Sundays other than Applebee's.

Went in with my girls and man for Mother's Day and they gifted me flowers, churros and ice cream! VERY welcoming, loved the decor and the waiter was a baseball college student (so sad I didn't get his name) who was so nice, funny and provided us with great service! My girls ordered the chicken quesadilla, the loaded fries with toppings on the side, my man the pollo a la parrilla and myself the coctel de camaron 🙌🏽🔥 so, so, So good! We order the aqua de horchata and for the adults, we had micheladas de Modelo 🤤 first time going and can't wait to go back! Located on Main and this place brings México to McPherson!

I love Mexican food in general but this place, especially their tacos, is so amazing. Their prices are affordable and their green and red sauces are just amazing!! The staff is super friendly, I had a conversation with one of the lady’s the entire time I waited on my food and it was just such a good experience and they are just so amazing at what they do. Can’t wait for them to be on Main Street soon! They’ve worked so hard to get that place I’m excited to see their business grow even more

I cannot recommend this street taco truck enough! From the moment you step up to the window, you can tell that you're in for a treat. The smells wafting out of the kitchen are simply incredible, and the friendly staff make you feel right at home.

This place is so amazing! Don’t have a single bad thing to say! The people were so nice, the food was so good, it’s fresh and hot, and the bartender was so good at making the drinks! I highly recommend this place!

Coming from south Texas this is the closest to home style food and atmosphere I've had in Kansas! True Mexican food through and through the music playlist they have reminds me of down south every visit I love it! I am for sure going to be a regular!

This was a nice treasure to find. With unlimited food options in this town, it was great to see a food truck, with authentic Mexican food. We ordered beef tacos, chicken tacos and the Birria Pizza. Delicious, authentic and made fresh. Fast and friendly service!

The restaurant opened today. The food was good but it took them a while because they were real busy. Once you taste the food you will understand why it was so busy in there. Try the Street Tacos or the Birria Tacos. You won't be disappointed.

Kids and I love to eat here. Menu is always good, prices are good, and the facilities are always clean. Recommend trying something new each time you go!

Food is amazing, especially the margs! Also their waitress Vic is very attentive! Overall great experience.

Stopped in for a bite. They've been open 2 weeks and seem to be off to a good start. Street tacos were great and that atmosphere was nice.
