Fred's Train Shop

Not just a model train store with 1 or 2 solutions: Fred's Trains has solutions from G to Z and everything in between! In addition, there are building supplies, track, kits and brass engines-- all in neat, organized aisles. Fred's also has magazines, calendars, railroad timetables and other items you might not find easily. You'll find it at Fred's! Definitely a place you can take your time and browse with friendly, helpful staff! I'm going back soon.

An amazing train shop that is clean ,well organized, and well stocked. They are knowledgeable and helpful and I have never felt pressured to hurry or make a purchase during any of my visits. Prices are very fair. They carry a lot of products in multiple scales which is rare these days as many shops are now primarily HO and N scale.

Very large collection of O, HO and some N and G scale trains.m, many new and many used. Also a great parts supplier willing to help with what ever project you may have.

This train shop was quite a find and it's filled with everything you need to build a train set, construct a beautiful train track town with all the right tracks, tunnels, scenery, and miniature people, collect some rare model trains, and pick up any accessory. While we saw several older collectors in the store talking to the owner, the place was perfect for our three-year-old grandson who has decided he loves trains. Check out the place! You won't be disappointed.

Good selection of railroad equipment. Only downside for me was that I model in On3 narrow guage and none was to be found there. But to be fair On3 is a small part of the model railroading community and it would be difficult to have on hand all spectrums of the hobby.

Best model and toy train shop I have ever visited. There's a complete AT&SF semaphore signal in the front window. Peco switches, brass HO rolling stock and locomotives, tin plate for collectors, z-scale to garden railroads.

Great service. Had a little train set to go around our Christmas tree that wasn't working. Diligently spent 20 minutes diagnosing the different components to find where the problem was. They found us the right component, tested it all out and our tree is happily adorned with a running train again. They are fantastic and I highly recommend them.

I didn't know I was into train sets until I visited Fred's! It was really neat to walk around this quaint shop and I would like to pick up this hobby sometime soon! I see how pricey it will be but I think it'd be money well spent. I love this locally owned shop (we met Fred's friendly dad).

The place was well stocked. I bought most of my diorama stuff here. Will return when I need to replace supplies.

Fred is extremely knowledgeable about trains. Very nice! The store is setup well and if you have trains to sell, he has various tracks setup so he can test them. Go visit!

Very helpful on my American flyer s set from 1950s. I knew nothing about it going in but by the time I left I had all the parts I needed to get it up and running. I will definitely be back with more questions and purchases.

Took my 4-4-0 Jupiter in for repairs. The proprietor was friendly, knowledgeable, informative, efficient, and extremely fair with his pricing. I look forward to returning many times as I build my dream model railroad.
