Thrifty Hippy Thrift Store

Great little collection of all kinds of things, and decent prices. Many clothing items don't have prices on them, so you have to ask, which I'm going to say is better for the environment and the merchandise, rather than getting all those little plastic and paper tags, that put holes in everything, and that have to be thrown away later.
I got these leggings for $10 each, which, considering they are in new condition, is cheaper and better for the environment and fair labor costs than my ordering from any reputable online store.
The staff member who was there was very upfront, friendly, and direct, and I appreciate their good energy!

The thrifty hippy is by far my favorite spot to shop in Petaluma! They have so many treasures and tons of cool clothes to browse, so plan on spending a good bit of time there! Monique, the owner, is the kindest & the vibe she has cultivated there is immaculate. Several of my favorite items have come from the thrifty hippy, including the western snap pictured below!

Block out at least an hour or more to really take your time looking through all they have to offer! Great atmosphere, super friendly staff, lots of clothing, great trinkets and so much more!!

Awesome family owned store with a fun selection of items and great pricing. It feels so good to support a family run business. Monique, one of the owners offered to keep an eye out for a specific style of furniture for me - she asked for my contact info so she could send pictures. I hope to continue to support the well run mom and pop shops in Petaluma and will definitely keep coming to the Thrifty Hippy not only for the great finds but the overall experience and great customer service!

Love this store. It's one of my favourite places Downtown! Have bought some lovely things there for the home. Love the idea that there is a room with clothing for the needy. They can come in and help themselves to what they need. In this day and age that is just wonderful. The owners are very friendly and helpful and I love the sixties music they play in the store. 5 Stars!!

Love this place!! This thrift store is the most awesome store in Petaluma and the North Bay Area! Well worth the drive to check it out on a regular basis because they are constantly getting new items in. The owners are super friendly and make good deals. They have a huge eclectic inventory of all you can imagine - bohemian, vintage, antique, mid-century collectables, kitchen wares, glass, vinyl records, tons of clothes, jewelry, furniture, and more.

I love that they have the free kids section and you can give what your little one doesn't wear anymore and find them something different here. It is like digging for treasure :) I found some nice shirts and dresses. Their prices are reasonable and we will definitely be back and tell everyone about it.

I love to find the best stuff in this amazing family owned thrift: great records, clothes, furniture, and more. The bonus is the great people that run the store. A true Petaluma hometown treasure 🪙

There's a good mix of collectibles, including +/- 1,000 albums of different styles of music. Lots of clothing and jewelry and some furniture - mostly chairs. Very friendly and knowledgeable owner.

Very cool stuff! Large eclectic mixture of vintage, mid century, antique and hippie era collectables and furniture. Prices reflect that this not really a thrift store... more like a vintage, collectables and antiques store. Look hard and you will find some great unique deals. He's willing to negotiate on prices too. I'd go back if I'm in the area. I posted a photo of a cool old grammaphone speaker I found.

Such a great experience. Owner was super nice. Even walked me to my car with my stuff and made sure I didn't get a ticket for jay walking! I'll definitely be back!
