Great cozy coffe bistro! Fun atmosphere of rustic combined with random quirky. Super friendly service. Good bfast choices including crepes and some lunch sandwiches. Homemade pastries.
Their owm roasts. An very good espresso drinks. Well worth a visit.

Service was fast and attentive on a Sunday morning. The workers were accommodating and cheerful. The food arrived quickly and was tasty overall. The BLT looked particularly delicious. Outdoor seating is not plentiful, but it is fun to be able to watch the traffic cruise by.

I've eaten here 3 times so far, and each time the food has been super tasty and made with wholesome ingredients! The coffee and lattes have been awesome, too. If you like cinnamon rolls and are always on the lookout for the best one...their cinnamon roll is worth adding to the "tried it" roster.💯

First trip here. The food was phenomenal!Got the lavender vanilla latte with almond milk, the berries and creme crepe, and eggs over medium. Lavender is one of the most easily ruined flavors. If brewed incorrectly it tastes soapy, but this latte was brewed perfectly. The eggs were hot, fresh, and crispy. And the crepe ... 🤤.
It's hard to enjoy when you just want to inhale.

As for the service, very friendly. I went on a Monday during their high traffic. It's a small operation, so you have to be patient. But for the laid back slow pace atmosphere that I like for a near noon breakfast, it was perfect!

Been coming here every year for 8 years. The experience never changes. The food is great small town is awesome national parks just down the road. It's always breath taking from being away from in town springs. Thank you for staying that same speed trap.

The Speedtrap is a glorious hole in the wall stop for some excellent food, great coffee, and a cozy place to relax. The coffee, with beans from Serrano's, another favorite spot, is excellent and made with care by the friendly staff who seem to be having a good time working. The croissants, the only thing I ate upon this review, were fresh, like they ad just been made, and warm throughout the meal. This is an excellent place to stop for some breakfast or lunch and just relax and enjoy yourself.

A delight for the discerning. Homemade white bread, and fresh baked goods that melt in your mouth. Crispy bacon, fresh fruit, bagels, cheesy cheddar potatoes might make you tear up, and Home grown tomatoes that don't stop. Superb Lattes, fast espresso machines, service doesn't get any friendlier or more helpful. Fast 5G WiFi, outside seating, sheesh,what a view!, and my friends like it too. 😋

I stumbled across this quaint coffee shop and decided to stop in for a light breakfast. My husband had eggs, bacon and potatoes. He loved it.
I ordered a fruit plate since I wasn't that hungry. It was huge! There was cantaloupe, watermelon, pineapple, strawberries and blueberries. Wonderful!! The only thing I didn't like was the sweet tea. It had a slight bitter aftertaste. The waitstaff were attentive and very friendly. I definitely recommend this place.

I love this place...except during the summer when it slammed with tourists, but that's a first-world problem. My go-to breakfast is the Eggs Benedict Crepe with the potato wedge. I ordered it by accident the first time because I didn't see the crepe part. I'm not sure I will ever have anything else there for breakfast. It's an excellent balance of the sweetness of the crepe with the savory of the ham, and the great taste of sharp cheddar cheese with potatoes for the potato wedge. Actually it's making me hungry just thinking about it. They also have coffee from Serranos, which is nice. It's also a great place to hang out and have lunch outside this time of year before it gets too cold. Especially if you have time to have a beer with it and take a nap 🙂.

My wife said the Speedtrap deserves 6 stars. We loved everything from the coffee to the French toast. Raw sugar at the table, Baileys coffee with some sort of syrup on the rim and raw sugar, yum! Alice and the team were also great!

I just had an Americano and it was very tasty. What impressed me about this spot is how friendly and comfortable the atmosphere is. I can't really speak too much about everything else on the menu but judging from what I saw going out, it looks terrific!
Do yourself a favor and get a to go coffee here, walk around Palmer Lake and just soak in the chill vibes!

Friendly service GREAT Food. I had the Ricotta Toast "which by the way the Ricotta is house made" it was delicious. We will be back

Everytime I come here the food makes me happy! Sunday they have waffles, so good! Pecans, blueberries, banana, sliced fresh melons on the side, with a dollop of yogurt and a dollop of whipped cream...added the side of bacon, delicious!

Nice Saturday walk from Monument to Palmer Lake for breakfast. Very friendly and attentive staff. Solid food and coffee menu. Highly recommend if you are in the neighborhood or passing through Palmer Lake.
