Holy Grounds Coffee and Book Shoppe

Such a great find! Went for the First Friday flight of 3 drinks. So tasty! DEFINITELY WILL BE BACK! It’s in a church basement and the proceeds go to support the church. Great atmosphere, food was delicious! So many options for drinks. Staff and service was exceptional, you won’t be sorry you came!

They have so many flavor options, friendly staff and delicious coffee! This was my first time and I will definitely be back.

Our first visit to Holy Gounds off the Liberty Square did not disappoint! The coffee was some of the best I’ve tasted. It was nicely roasted, smooth and not bitter. My husband had the bacon, egg, and cheese waffle bowl and said it was incredible. I had the homemade chocolate croissant and it melted in my mouth. There is a lot going on in the space with an area to shop and shelves of books but they offer a lot of indoor seating as well as some outdoor seating. Walk up the stairs and check out the old church with beautiful carved wood and stained glass windows while you’re there. We will definitely be coming back regularly now.

This is a hidden gem! The staff is friendly and the coffee is amazing. We stopped in for the Flights and were very pleased!

What a find! Holy Grounds is such a cool coffee shop tucked in the basement of St. James. Such great vibes, friendly staff, and excellent coffee. Lots of seating/tables - great spot for coworking and/or book browsing with walls and walls of texts. Don’t leave without taking a peek at the church sanctuary upstairs!

EXCELLENT coffee blend and roast! Masterful baristas. The atmosphere transfers you to the heavens; so light, peaceful, warm, and inviting. A beautiful collection of old books in the church library that line the walls and a collection of newer books, bibles, and sundries that are for sale. You can go upstairs and check out the church which has beautiful stained glass, wood work, pipe organ, and altar & ornaments. A must see!

This is a nice little locally owned coffee shop. My mom and I stopped in and had the chai tea - really good! We also shared a home made pop tart. So yummy!!

Can’t wait to go back and get some coffee.

Wonderful little cafe in the basement of a Church. Has both indoor and outdoor seating. Plenty of parking. Owners are very friendly and welcoming. Coffee was great. I did not try any food items. Definitely recommend this cafe

Really good coffee, friendly, welcoming staff, and peaceful ambiance. Didn’t try the baked goods, but they looked amazing. Will be my go to for coffee whenever I am in Liberty.

I loved the atmosphere! It was serene and cozy, full of delightful smells and a hushed Holiness. The books that you can borrow to read while there are numerous. The latte that I tried was delicious!

I have been here twice and both experiences were great with the best coffee I have had in liberty in a long time! Will definitely be making this spot a regular go-to coffee spot.

Nice place in the basement of a church. Good atmosphere. Very relaxing and plenty of space. They also have loads of used books for sale, mostly religious.

They make all their own syrups, all natural ingredients, impressive pricing, no tax, amazing service, very friendly, supports good cause.

More than that, this was the best cup of coffee (latte) I’ve had in years. It’s delicious, smooth and creamy. The baked goods and fudge are also delicious. The people are very friendly, personable and so happy. It’s also a book shop too.

All of it was great! I was delivering a package to this coffee shop when the people there offered me a free lemonade (bc I don’t like coffee or tea lol)! They were so friendly and the lavender flavored lemonade was soooooo good. 10/10
