Braise North

Braise North has found a way to bring cute, cozy, elevated and unique to Lakewood! Everything we have tried is suburb and has depth of flavor. From the am bakery to dinner we have not been disappointed. A true gem, the owners are present and care about their customers and experience. I love that they keep moving forward enhancing customer experience with the take home meal kits, outdoor seating and the latest addition of the winter domes. Congratulations to Braise North and I can't wait to see how you continue to enhance the community!

They had an amazing breakfast sandwich with smoked brisket. Fresh Fresh and Fresh Best food in the area outstanding service and the place is just as amazing as the food. Definitely 💯 going back for more.

Hey, I’m old enough to know that businesses have hours, and I’m young enough to be able to use the internet to check hours…and make a reservation! So glad we did, we had a great time and a great meal on Saturday (when you were open, sorry I can’t help myself!!). I love that we now have something unique in Lakewood. Yes, I love the bars and the salad bars, but I do t always want those things. A different menus all the time is fresh! I’m so excited you guys opened and look forward to many more evenings out with you.

Braise North has an atmosphere of comfort and sophistication. The mild church themes and limited seating give an air of elegance and fine dining, while the relaxed decor and breakfast bar gives you comfortable simplicity. The level of detail that the staff and owners show in their attentiveness shows a strength of pride in their business, from the in-depth knowledge of each dish to casual conversation and wanting to get to know the customers. The meal presentation is a worthy competition to many 5 star restaurants. They started off with a wonderful welcoming drink of a select wine or specialty drink. Then appeased our taste buds with a light and beautifully flavored salad. The main dish was a gnocchi with pistou, amazingly flavored, with a well balanced savory herbal blend. And finished the night with the Opera cake. A delicious dessert layered in coffee and chocolate that melts in your mouth. With all this said, the experience and service you will receive at Braise North is unlike anything else you will find in the small town of Lakewood Wisconsin.

My family and I have been dining here since their opening in 2022. Dave's food is always superb; each dining experience and every meal (breakfast and dinner) is always excellent. Their theme weekends during the summer months have also been a hit with us. Dave and Becky are the nicest, most gracious restaurant owners we have ever met. They really take the time to talk to us/get to know us by name. Wine and other drink selections are always great (try the homemade old-fashioned or the sangria if available). Another favorite is the vanilla cupcake - it literally tastes like a wedding cake. If you're looking for something different in a meal, look no further than Braise! Make note that they have specialized hours and their Facebook page is always updated to reflect that. You can also call in your breakfast order ahead-of-time for pickup.

Yum!!! We traveled an hour to visit Braise North and it was WELL worth it. BN is the perfect blend of fresh, delicious food with a bright, inviting atmosphere. We started with coffee and an orange cranberry scone, then enjoyed crumpets with prosciutto, asparagus & a fried egg (SO good), and went back for more coffee, cupcakes and chocolate, pistachio biscotti. The space allowed us to relax and enjoy even with our 2 young kids in tow! :) Dave & Becky have curated a true gem in Lakewood. We will definitely be back - thank you!!

A true gem in the north woods. Unique atmosphere and amazing food options that change regularly. Wonderful alternative to traditional “up north” pizza/fish fry/burgers. Very reasonably priced for the portions provided. Excellent for both breakfast and dinner. Highly recommend.

In a word, they are AMAZING!

They have an excellent and unique menu, for both breakfast and dinner. Includes lots of handmade, organic, locally-sourced food. Check their Facebook page as their menu rotates often. I've never been disappointed... Much more likely to struggle narrowing your choice to one meal than to not find something great to eat! Excellent homemade old-fashioneds and a great wine and bourbon selection in the evenings. Coffee is outstanding and always some great homemade syrups for their lattes. Great selection of homemade pastries etc in the mornings and macarons, cakes, etc in the evenings.

If you're familiar with Braise in Milwaukee, you're as excited as we are that a place like Braise North opened up in this neck of the woods. Carefully crafted and thoughtful dishes that constantly change, an amazing wine menu, the best whiskey selection north of Green Bay, and unbeatable coffee and breakfast in the AM (we have plenty of really amazing greasy spoons in the area, but this is an entirely different and refreshing ballpark that brings a welcome change to the Northwoods breakfast standard we all know and love). To top it off, the take home meals and small shop are great for grabbing something fun to go. We will absolutely be spending many nights and mornings exploring their offerings. Gratz on the open! Welcome to Lakewood!

An amazing spot for both breakfast and dinner. It will blow your mind how amazing the food is that Dave cooks . Becki always gives a warm welcome and is a master barista. We are very lucky to have this spot in Lakewood!

I so enjoyed the breakfast sandwich with the everything bagel smoked salmon and scallion cream cheese. The cafe is very pretty and the owners are so welcoming!

Great restaurant in the Northwoods! Nothing like it north of Green Bay. Wonderful food, attentive service and great atmosphere. We will be back!
