First Avenue Coffee

I don't know where to begin. Typically, I'll review a place after I leave, but I couldn't wait in case someone was on the fence deciding if they should come here or not. Please, definitely put this shop on your list of coffee shops to visit. The staff are very knowledgeable, friendly and fast. I asked for a recommendation on my drink, and it did not disappoint. Very delicious!! I also got the coconut macaroon and cheddar and chive biscuit. Um... what kind of magic is going on in the kitchen to put an egg in the middle of the biscuit? It is absolutely mouthwatering and by far the best biscuit I have ever eaten. I can not say enough good things about my experience, and I truly hope everyone gives this shop a try and falls in love as much as I have.

Just moved to Spokane. What a find to walk into such a great coffee shop, staff was extremely nice and welcoming! Coffee and food were top notch! You have a customer for life!

Their staff is creative, talented, and tireless. The space is immaculate and perfect for an event. The mocktail menu is impeccable and sourced beautifully, not mention their regular food and drink options. Basically, they approach all they do with excellence, and it shows. We are now life-long fans of First Avenue Coffee and forever grateful to them!

Absolutely love this specialty coffee shop! The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, perfect for catching up with friends or getting some work done. The baristas are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about their craft, always delivering the perfect brew. Their selection of coffee beans is outstanding, offering a range of flavors to suit every palate. Plus, the pastries and snacks they offer are delicious accompaniments to their fantastic coffee. Great coffee shop, super roomy, and just a fun vibe! Got a cortado, and it was really good, even though the foam wasn’t perfect. Scott, one day f the baristas and barista trainers was super friendly and really took ownership over his space! I loved it! He was super friendly, really knowledgeable, and he even took ownership over my cortado not looking perfect! Overall, really enjoyed my time there, and had a good cup of coffee!

An absolute gem of a coffee shop in the inland PNW. Kind staff, spacious seating, tasty breakfast pastries and yogurt parfaits, and soothing music. Definitely a must visit when in Spokane or to make your local.

Definitely one of the best coffee shops in Spokane area. As coffee and matcha lovers, we loved how First Avenue Coffee baristas put their heart into their drinks. The coffee and matcha flavors are well balanced. The atmosphere is spacious and welcoming. The open floor plan makes it easy to work or enjoy with groups. It is located a close walking distance from Riverfront park.

I was visiting my brother and his family in Spokane and stopped by to get my first cup of coffee in the city.

I wasn't disappointed. The service was excellent, the vibe in the coffee house was friendly, and the coffee was excellent.

Inside First Ave Coffee, they have stools that are in the front window, and I sat there eating my cake donut and Sumatra pour over.

Always top notch coffee and great biscuits for breakfast. My go to when I’m in town.

Clean, spacious and high tech but with a very friendly and personable barista. We got just a winter blend to go but wish it wasn’t -12 outside so could have enjoyed a cold nitro. He gave us a few tastes hi he was greatly appreciated before our 5-hour drive back to Canada.

My coffee shop now. I found it (when it opened) on my walk to work. I am picky about the aftertaste in coffee and their medium roast choices never insults my taste buds. So, I have bravely tried their deeper roasts and found the same to be true. Well roasted beans and well prepared coffee all around. Everyone of the staff is pleasant and takes good care of their customers. They learn your name and your favorite drink. Love all around.

The space is very pleasant, whether you like the window view, the common table or the loft.

Best chai in the city. Hands down. Hard to try all the other supposedly great drinks on offer because this one never misses. And it's on nitro tap? Never disappoints. And fingers crossed the Fireside tea makes another seasonal appearance next year. 🔥🤞 All the syrups are house-made and the donuts are fantastic whether you're looking for a gluten free option or not. 🍩

What a great coffee spot! Plenty of space if you prefer to sit by the windows or way in the back more secluded. DELICIOUS coffee and mouth watering take home to yo mama snacks. They also have a wonderful collection of delightful tumblers and mugs. Staff was so friendly and welcoming. A great location to just sit and sip for a bit and people watch by those windows!

Very cool swanky coffee shop! Stopped in twice this weekend and both times we were treated great by staff. Drinks were on point: latte, italiano and even drip was good. The donut action is awesome and delicious - keto, gluten free, vegan! They also have plenty of buttery delish baked goods. Large open space with ample indoor seating (small outdoor area) and an atmosphere to chat or work a couple hours. Noise level was suitable and comfortable. The bathrooms were also clean and nicer.

To the barista working hard & on her own during a morning rush-- Thank you. As someone who has been in your place before, you rocked it. My latte was perfect. Your service was lovely. I really appreciate all of it.

First Ave Coffee is founded on ethically sourced coffee and high-quality pastries. The house-made keto biscuits are savory and delicious, with an excellent variety of locally sourced pastries from places like Rind and Wheat Bakery with several vegan options too. The spacious atmosphere, art, piano, and friendly baristas has a transformative effect where you leave feeling like the world is a better place. The owners clearly understand that if you take care of the planet, you will be blessed with “damn good coffee”.

Was in Spokane visiting my sister and stopped by here to get a coffee before my long drive back and oh my goodness! I wish this place was in my hometown because it’s so perfect. I love the cups and the environment. The barista was so kind and we had a great conversation while he made my coffee.
I also always like to ask the barista for their suggestion when I go to a new place and he was very knowledgeable. The drink was delicious!

One of the best third wave shops in the inland northwest! Love the baby shortbread with a straight espresso. Jordan was a fabulous barista and a ray of sunshine!

What a great place to come hang out and enjoy! The batistas are great. Not only customized our drinks actually came to the table and checked on them!
