TL;DR: Fantastic coffee, and they even made decaf good.

I have purchased drinks and beans here, as well as ordered beans shipped from the roastery. I recently had to go to decaf for medical reasons and that scared the heck out of me as I am a coffee addict/lover/home espresso brewer/etc.

The beans I'll talk about here are the Mexican Turquesa from the Chiapas region. They are Solar roasted Arabica. Tasting notes of Walnut and Milk Chocolate

I originally had the non decaf medium roast and I loved it for pour over. Drip (mocha master), and it turned out a pretty tasty espresso shot with very little difficulty in dialing in the grind.

Since I have switched to decaf, I have had both the medium and the dark roast. There is barely a hint of difference in pour over and drip on the medium roast.

It's fantastic that a decaf could date so could. I have been a death before decaf person, until It was a reality. I was very worried I would have to give up coffee as I've never heard a good word about decaf.

I then thought to myself, if there is anyone I can think of that could keep flavor and texture intact, it would be Combs. I went up to Corinth and had a pour over in the cafe and I was impressed. I bought a jar then and there.

I had since run out and ordered another 12oz of the medium, and decided to also give the dark roast a try, specifically for my Moka Pot. The Dark roast performed very well in the mokapot. All of the tasting notes were there.

Combs sent me fresh roasted beans. The moment I opened up the UPS envelope, the aroma engulfed me in a warm hug of happiness and comfort.

Again, I was not disappointed, and it has far exceeded expectations.

Comb's really does decaf justice with their Mountain Water Process method.

I came in earlier today with my mom, we like to hang around coffee shops and were in the market for a new one, so we ended up at Comb’s after a brief google search. In trying any new coffee shop, I tend to be considerably anxious about it because I’m a little picky about how my coffee is made but oh. My. God. Upon first entering it was fragrant, and welcoming, and the atmosphere, despite being virtually windowless, was unique, cozy, and very friendly. As was the staff! Amongst being super knowledgeable and passionate about coffee, the man had a lot to say about it, and I thought it was really interesting learning about it! I’ve also never seen a coffee shop so passionate about what it’s selling. AS WELL AS SOLAR POWERED!!!! SOLAR!!!!!!! POWERED!!!!!!! That’s so sick!!! I appreciate that a lot! This also had to be some of the best coffee I’ve ever had. It had this like perfect balance of having that coffee flavor, without being too bitter, or overpowering the other notes in the drink. I ordered an iced mocha (I think? It’s been a long time since this morning), and it was smooth, nutty, and altogether just amazing. I’ve had nothing that compares to it. There are also tons. And tons. And tons of options in terms of drinks. Was it a little hard to find the shop? I mean, sure, but it only took us one lap around the row of buildings to notice the entrance sign and figure it out! The mural also helps give it away. And was it also a little pricey? Yeah, but to be fair, coffee is expensive these days, and it honestly probably isn’t the most I’ve ever spent on a coffee, and it’s great quality too anyways! Give it a shot if you ever have the chance, well for sure be back next we have the time to :)

This is one of the best coffees I have had anywhere globally. Seriously! Do yourself a favor and stop by this place. And the chocolate…out of this world. No doubt I will be back next time I’m in the area. So glad I found it!

Third wave coffee shop and roaster with a surprisingly wide variety of specialty coffees. They are all about sustainability and quality. The owner/roaster/barista is a Q-grader and as friendly and helpful as possible.

Pros: variety of coffees (styles, roast levels, and countries of origin) friendly staff, helpful, great chocolate and teas, renewable and sustainable everything

Cons: challenging to find (in a sort of warehouse with a small door), no commercial espresso machine (they do effectively use an Aeropress)

A real passion for coffee and it shows. It is kinda hard to find but worth it. Just follow the signs when you get where your gps shows you. My wife loved the mason jars to hold the beans and I loved the coffee. The staff was nice very helpful.

Coffee here is the bomb! I got an iced mocha (with vanilla syrup per the barista's recommendation) and my friend got hot chocolate. Both were really good and the hot chocolate in particular wasn't too hot.

I never write reviews but this place is amazing. I ordered on ubereats because starbucks was closed and now I think I prefer Combs over starbucks lol. They were so fast, and also wrote little notes on my friend and I's coffees. The bagels and coffee were so delicious. 10/10 would recommend and I can't wait to go see it in person. <3

Some of the best coffee a customer can purchase in the DFW area. The owner is super knowledgeable, and goes out his way to acquire some of the best beans and teas across the globe. The company also supports giving back to the communities where their beans come from, and seems to genuinely care about the footprint their actions leave behind. I could honestly say more good things than this that are factual, but I think there might be a character limit when writing reviews on Google.

Combs coffee is some of the best coffee I've ever had. Not only are they ethically sourced but they are roasted to perfection. Among my favorites are the Nicaraguan Dark Roast and the Honduran Dark Roast. My wife and I are personally a fan of Dark roasts but their light and medium roasts are excellent as well.

My wife just yelled at me to not forget about the tea and chocolate. Their earl Grey tea is excellent and is the only one I've tried but I'm probably going to try an herbal next if they have it. The chocolate is made there at combs and is delightfully bitter.

The service is fantastic with online ordering, Instagram pickup, and a variety of different ways to get your beans. The only downside is that the store is smaller, limiting the number of customers that can enter comfortably. + it's coffee and takes time to make. This isn't a cheap starbucks. Give a little for greater quality.

The store is easily accessible from the highway and is across from NCTC so don't be shy and stop on by!

This place is like some kind of hidden gem! The interior is really cool looking, and the dirty chai latte I had was exactly what I was looking for. Check this place out if you haven't already!

I LOVE this place! The coffee is high quality at a decent price. This is a great place to meet with friends or to just study at! The owner also makes his own chocolate, which is pricey but worth it!

James’ passion is clearly evident in not only his craft coffees and teas, but also in their retail shop and community involvements. If you have a question about coffee or tea, James has the answer. We had a super enjoyable Saturday morning, discussing his recent travels to China and Thailand over an amazing, complex medium roast Chinese coffee (didn’t even know China was a coffee-growing region!). Tasted a rare white tea from China; James is the only American importing this particular strain of tea into the US. Yes, their current space seems like the back of a building, but step inside and you’ll be instantly transported to coffee heaven. Promise!

This is a heck of a find. Solar power, responsible roasting of coffee and cacao, relaxed atmosphere, and an engaging owner with a passion for what he does. Wonderful place, smooth coffee, knowledgeable host.

It was serendipitous for me to even find it, but if I'm ever back in the area I'm coming back!

I'm a 3rd wave coffee hunter. I'm always searching for the perfect cup. This was on par with the best I've ever had. I'm sure the beans I chose in my pour over was of importance, but it was a mountain top experience. My compliments to the roaster. ...and the grower... and Abby the barista. And to Creator God for the soil that brought forth such nuance and flavors!

The coffee here is incredible. It is so rich and flavorful that it does not need any additional sugar or sweeteners. Each coffee has its own unique flavor and although each of the ladies have been good, Gabby really hits the mark from pour overs to mochas to hot chocolate. She is enthusiastic with helping you find the right bean and when we saw that she was working with chocolate she educated us a little bit about the process. It's really a hidden gem and I only wish we would have known about it sooner.

This place is amazing! They have a large variety of whole bean coffees for sale, and a full coffee bar. Has a nice area to hang out as well. It's really tucked away in an industrial area, and you might not be sure you're in the right place. But it's definitely worth checking out. I'll definitely be back.

Combs coffee is fantastic, but it's more than just coffee! If you get a chance to speak with James, just ask him about his travels and his knowledge of coffee, it incredible but not boastful. The coffee is smooth and perfectly priced. (They also have tea, I just didn't get that far because the coffee was so delicious.) James is a big part of his community and is diligently working hard to foster an amazing community gathering area for budding and experienced entrepreneurs. Go check it out. You will not be disappointed!
