Lemon Grove Coffee

The energy here is great! There was a local meet up going on while I was there - felt like a big family in a living room. Amazing vegan pastries! The americano was good and the staff is lovely. There are board games and things for sale. No outdoor seating but yes to indoor seating and some outlets. Pretty noisy so not a good spot to take calls but great place to visit.

I went to this location for many years to read and work on projects but I have to say that the atmosphere and workers have never been this amazing. I am so glad that this new owner has taken Lemon Grove to a new level. The lavender drink was new for me and made me want more. I also tried a mocha and it was very tasty. I lingered to get a feel for the staff and they did not disappoint. They are kind, warm, and welcoming. Since I stated for awhile, I ordered an Americano (I really drink coffee). The brew is balanced and is a better quality than many other shops I have visited.

I heard about The Hamlett in 2020. I was happy to be able to see that it opened. The space is beautiful and clean. I ordered a oat milk match iced latte which was delicious. My grandmother had a beet rose latte with a caffeine shot which she raved about. I loved the apothecary items and overall ambience. I can't wait to return with a few more family members.

First time at this black owned coffee shop in Lemon Grove, but it will NOT be my last! The customer service was impeccable as the cashier (who I later learned was actually the owner’s mother) was extremely friendly and checked on me while I sipped my drinks while preparing for work.
I ordered a cafe au lait, which isn’t in the menu, but they were able to make it for me! It wasn’t as sweet as I like it, so when cashier checked on me and asked how was everything I told her that it wasn’t as sweet as I usually like and she was extremely accommodating and offered to make another one for me.
I declined and inquired about the ‘rainbow drink’ I saw that looked so cool. The ‘magic lotus’ is their signature drink that I highly recommend getting. This plant based energy drink doesn’t just look pretty but is packed with caffeine and is delicious!!!

I love coming here! I'm pretty shy and usually prefer ordering on apps because I get yelled to speak up a lot at other coffee shops, but all baristas here are really kind. It's a comfortable vibe and the inside is well decorated. I keep recommending to friends & family and some reply back that they like coming in here too. I've seen board games & hope to come with friends to sit in some time instead of getting my coffee & going. I've gotten Iced Mocha & Iced Matcha, but hope to try other drinks. Thank you for being kind here! 💜🙂

Great atmosphere and great service. A top-notch coffee spot. Parking is difficult but not impossible.

Very kind service! I will return. I purchased a fresh brewed hot coffee large I picked up a cold brew for my wife and a lemonade for my daughter and they were even nice enough to ask me if I wanted whipped cream on the lemonade. They also had many great gifts for mothers day.

Caffeine and I do not get along. At all. So why am I at a coffee shop? Because I do love tea lattes! Came to support the teenage entrepreneur who had the vision to open a lovely hangout spot on this vacant corner. What I found was happy and helpful employees and the most delicious non caffeinated latte I’ve ever had. Beet Rose Latte - beet root and turmeric with my choice of oat milk. Slightly spicy. Slightly sweet. Completely unexpected and delicious.

My cappuccino was PERFECT! Love the presentation in the jar! The barista took such loving care in making it! We shared the almond croissant. Wow!!! It is the best one I have ever had. Buttery and lots of almond paste. Delicious. Please don’t ever take off the menu!!
The staff was friendly and responsive and the vibe is comfy community. We will be back often!

Amazing cafe in Lemon Grove. Great vibe with a community-based approach. Coffees/lattes tastes amazing. The Magic Lotus cold drink looks and tastes great. Hopefully more businesses like this will open up in LG. Great concept!

This is my second time at this location and it gets better with every visit.

Love this cafe and I’m so happy it’s so close to my work! The place is super cute. The energy is fun and lively. I was greeted immediately upon entry. It took me forever to figure out what my kids wanted (because they are 2&3), and I was asked multiple times if I needed anything or had any questions. Everyone was very kind and helpful! They have super cute items for sale, and I love the artwork! My kids were obsessed with the tiger, specifically. I had the rose late and it was delicious!! The muffins and cookies were excellent, as well!

gorgeous shop. the employees are really nice. got to speak with one of the supervisors who was really sweet this is definitely one of those places that feels like a second home. the whole shop is beautifully decorated and the art is so beautiful. coffee and food is decent.

Love this place. Amazing coffee and matcha tea. Awesome atmosphere and great vibes. Cool owners and all around probably the best coffee spot in San Diego. You won’t be sorry if you go here

Great spot!!! I was visiting and stopped in at least 4 times in a week for coffee. Go support them. You'll love it.

Small family owned business on Lemon Grove. That lady and the other boy on the counter were so friendly and nice. Loved the space they have inside the cafe. Great ambience and here’s look of what i had today.

Gave this place a try after a friend recommended it. I got a red velvet mocha and it was a perfect blend. I’m always scared of overly sweet coffee, but this selection was great. They’ve got some great drink options on their menu that I’m going to have to go and try.

The best coffee! I usually make my coffee at home but I have become a regular here! The ambiance is such a cool vibe. Great energy here.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff, clean atmosphere, and the children's area makes even adults want to play, Convenient most definitely. And access to parking without being charged is. almost unheard of in San Diego county, this is how you enjoy the kickback atmosphere hearing about within LEMON GROVE.

Seriously the best Salted Caramel coffee I've ever had. And I've had quite a few. 😁 The atmosphere is quietly inviting and calming. The aesthetics are thought provoking and draw you to think outside the box.
