Owner is there every time we are there. My wife and I buy all of our fishing supplies there and they are always informative on what’s hitting and helpful when we have questions. Their prices are fantastic on high end equipment like abu Garcia and their lower end is on par with Walmart for price and better quality. Great business and can not speak highly enough

Went by there for the first time today and they were awesome. The lady restocking everything showed me what they had and how the store was set up. They had everything I wanted and needed there. I’m a tackle nerd and have tons of stuff already and they had things I wanted or couldn’t find. They even had a demo tank. Go there! You won’t be disappointed.

Locally owned and operated. Being an amateur fisherman, this shop was overwhelming with all the gear available. The staff was friendly and helpful. Also, Jake's Bait & Tackle helps fund the local Bass Wrangler chapter in Frederick County.

Family owned and operated. The owners provide tips and recommendations about lures and equipment. If you ask, they will even tell you where the best fishing holes are. Check out the lure demo tank in the store! Jake has every lure and tackle you can think of including three sizes of live minnows. If you like fishing, you'll love Jake's.

This place is awesome!! Knowledgeable staff and a good selection. If they don't have what you're looking for, they order it. They've also held stuff for me so i can pick it up at my convenience.

Missed fishing north this year which means that I missed stopping by Jake's! Amazingly well stocked store, even if you have everything!

Man, I love this place. He has everything you need, from live bait, to hard to find regional lure companies, to the expensive Japanese high end lures. Plus the owner will talk and share local fishing knowledge all day long. The new shop is large and there's a ton to explore. They have a fellow that will clean and repair reels, there are frequent seminars about the Potomac and Lake Anna, and every so often a pro speaker. Can't say enough about Jake's!

If you're looking for anything anything fishing man does Jake's have it. He has stuff that the other stores don't carry. He is also so helpful and knowledgeable.

Love this place I never go anywhere else since I've discovered it. They have tons of good stuff you haven't seen , and local lure makers sell products there. He also carries big swimbaits, alot of river2sea lures, lucky craft, Yamamoto, keitech, plus the customer service is great the owner is always giving me tips on different tactics. If you are a bass guy this is a little oasis. Oh yeah I forgot he carries alot of jackall products and a few Huddleston grass minnows! I could go on and on, right off at 81 at exit 317 across from Target

Friendly family owned business, and they are as helpful as they can be. It's clean and the owner has always been in store when I go. He will sit and talk with you for hours!
