Winkler Park

LAKE IS DRIED UP. BEWARE IF YOU BOOK SPOT 5 OR 6. There's a dumpster that makes backing into the spot with an rv very difficult. Park is very quiet. Only water hook ups but generators are allowed. Ake sure to have an extra long hose since water hook ups are on the wrong side for most rvs. There's a bath house with 1 shower and toilets. Bring your own toilet paper and bath shoes if you plan to use the bathhouse. No host on site currently but the couple who work at white flint come to check in new visitors, they very kind and informative. If you tent camp just know rvs run generators. Even though it's not lake front anymore there is water spots 5 minutes away to fish, swim, etc.

Wonder three days at this park. The caretakers we're friendly and welcoming. The park was very well cared for. We will be returning.

Small campground with nice RV sites on the water. Water hookups but no electric. Camp hosts very helpful.
End of May 2023: unfortunately no water this far up the lake arm. Still a great place to camp. Water access for boats available by the bridge heading southeast on hwy 36.

Great spot for RV camping. Lived in the area over 25+ years and never realized this gem existed.

Camping tonight at the Winkler Campground, August 21, 2015. Very clean. Flushing toilets, but no sinks so bring your own hand washing stuff. Site 5 and Site 6 are the ONLY two sites with trees/shade. Wasps are all up in the roofs which cover picnic tables. All sites have beautiful views of the lake, Sites 1-11 are lake front. Two super friendly feral cats roam the grounds. They're adorable beyond words. Definitely a great little getaway and will return.

Great lake front camping ! Quiet, open spots with blacktop pad for parking; sun shelter with concrete pad & picnic table; flush toilets & hot shower; boat launch. Nice place !

Our second time camping overnight at campsite #1. My wife loves that spot. Early mornings are great for bird watching and a neat sunrise. I saw a bald eagle Saturday night and Sunday morning.

Camp hosts are very nice. I had the whole campground to myself and it was a really quiet and lovely place to spend the night.

Great camp with out power. But there is a grassy place to play. Very easy to walk down to the water side. Fishing an some go swimming. An if you like walking there is room for that. Go on line an get a date. $ but not to high.

Had an excellent time there campsite was very clean.

Awesome , I have so many fond memories growing up there as a kid , but they change the park up since then it's a clean ,well kept it's quiet very beautiful

I stayed here for a few days and loved it. It was so relaxing. Went fishing and caught alot of bass. Will be going back for sure.

Wonderful place to swim.. Water was kinda dirty but we have gotten a bunch of rain!
