This is a laboratory where you experiment with food. What an experience for the people who have not been to one of these places in China. Suitable for a group as you can get to choose more options. The experiment looks rather simple but better to have an experienced friend to show you the way. The outcomes are limitless. A restaurant worth visiting.

I’ve been here for several times. Ken is the most friendly, happiest and sweetest person I’ve ever met! He made my day :)
And Jimmy cleaned up our empty plates very frequently, so we can enjoy our dinner without a lot of dirty plates!
Best experience ever ❤

Haidilao is my favorite hot pot place, especially this location! The servers here are always attentive. Ken was a great server and super friendly! He even made a spicy dipping sauce for us to try, which was super yummy! The food quality is excellent and you really get the whole dining experience here. Highly recommend this place! :)

Joseph was great! Food was amazing! The atmosphere was really fun! You MUST order the dancing noodles and stay for the masked dancer! Very busy on weekend evenings but worth the wait!

My recent visit to this hot pot restaurant was nothing short of spectacular, largely thanks to its expansive menu that surpasses many others in variety, especially when it comes to drinks. The passion fruit green tea I ordered was a revelation - a perfect mix of fruity and floral notes that complemented the meal beautifully, enhancing the overall dining experience.
The highlight for me, however, was the unique hot pot setup. The pot, ingeniously split into multiple sections, allowed each person at the table to select their preferred broth. I chose the Tom Yum broth, which was a flavorful journey in itself, rich with spices and a tangy depth that married well with everything dipped into it.
Not only was the food abundant, but the unlimited self-serve sauce station was a game-changer, offering a creative twist to personalize each bite. The variety and freshness of the ingredients, paired with the ability to mix and match sauces, elevated the meal from great to unforgettable.
The attentive service and welcoming ambiance added to the joy of the evening, making this hot pot restaurant a standout. It’s a place where the joy of sharing a meal is matched by the pleasure of tailoring it to each diner’s taste, ensuring a delightful experience that beckons for a return visit. Don’t leave without trying their soft serve!

If you have an opportunity to slip into your reservation that you'd like Abel to be your server. Do so.
He made the whole experience delightful. Great recommendations, helped us with the app, menu and ensured a delightful afternoon lunch with friends.
If you can get him smiling, you'll get treated to his dimples to boot. Highly recommend reservations as they were busy. But service was impeccable and we didn't feel rushed.

We’ve been here many times and it does not disappoint! Teresa, our server, was attentive and helpful. All the staff is great and the food is delicious. My favorites are the meat options, tomato soup base, sauce bar, shrimp paste, I’ll stop here because I’ll name the whole menu. An investment for a great meal :)

Haidilao (meaning scooping up from the sea bottom) is an experience best shared with at least 3 others. Ours was a group of 10, which made it very festive. The staff competently handled our birthday cake (refrigeration needed) and, in addition to the plating & cake knife, they also brought out the singing staff & celebratory placard to make things more fun. Due to the size of our party, we also got a "personalized" demo of the hand-pulling of noodles which, frankly, wasn't all that delicious. But it was fun to watch, if a bit gimmicky.
Like other hot pot places, you order your plate(s) of stuff - from meats to seafood to tofu products to veggies - and a selection of "soups" kept hot at the table. Dunk the plates of food in (sequentially so you can keep track of the meats in order not to overcook), and enjoy the fruits of your labor. Indeed, you are actually cooking your own food at the table, so conversation can be inhibited because everyone is minding their own pot of soup and food prep.
There is also an extra sauce table, where for $4 pp, you get some more premium ingredients. We enjoyed a combo of sesame paste, scallion, ginger, soy & hot sauce that helped concentrate the flavors of the cooked meats.
The seafood was fresh (shrimp cooked in hot pot sauce was particularly succulent), chicken breast devoid of fat, tofu & veggies (we had bok choy & spinach) all high quality. I didn't like how fatty the beef was; lamb was far less fatty. Highly recommend the fried tofu rolls - the texture made it easy for the tofu to soak up the flavors in the soup. In comparison, the tofu skin was way too bland. Cellophane (bean) noodles were extra tasty as the dinner progressed.
Experienced hot pot diners choose low-spice soups, e.g., chicken or mushroom (one in our party chose the spiciest soup; his puffy red face & teary eyes said it all!) This is so that, as you dunk more and more ingredients into the pot, the soup gets more umami & flavorful. In the end, you'd want to drink from that pot. With that in mind, I would go for the $4 premium extra ingredients so I can customize the flavors.
The venue itself is spacious but a bit loud (due to the hardscape in which sounds reverbrate). The restaurant is well lit, and the atmosphere convivial and fun.

We had such a wonderful experience at HDL all thanks to Jia. She was so friendly, attentive, responsive, and kind. We had a reservation at 445 and were seated immediately when we arrived. Jia explained the HDL ordering process very thoroughly and asked we would like the kids menu (nuggets, veggies and cute rabbit bao) for my son whom doesn’t eat hotpot. My husband asked some of the “secret code” and Jia was so nice on answering them with a smile :). We chose the spicy, Tom yum, chicken pork, and water soup base (made my own) which were all so good. My husband really enjoyed the variety of sauces available. The food ( meat and veggies) were fresh and delicious. We were lucky enough to see the noodle dance and the face changing dance. Maybe next time we can see the “Ke Mu San” because the dancer is not available today. The kids ate so much snacks, ice cream and other desserts. After we asked for the bill, Jia was so nice to give some gift bags that have toys and snacks. It was a very fun and filling experience for everyone. Would highly recommend HDL at the Cupertino location and asked for Jia! Will definitely come back!

amazing 10/10!! the food was good and came out quick, the place was spacious even though busy, and the service was perfect.
it was my first time here with my family so we didn’t know what was going on. our waiter Jay was kind and explained everything in detail about how to order and cook and patient while we talked over details.
the food was amazing, only $3 for a plate full of lamb and $2 for a plate of beef. for a group of 4 people, 3 plates of beef, a plate of lamb, a plate of chicken, and a few veggies and noodles was perfect for us.
we were also provided aprons to cover our shirts (we wore white for some reason), hair ties for people with longer hair, a seat cover to cover our bags and jackets, and a baggie for glasses/sunglasses.
at the end they had soft serve ice cream for everyone and we were provided with flossers and wet wipes.
everything here was perfect, will definitely come back

Wow, I just had the most incredible experience at this restaurant! Daniel, our server, was excellent! He was so warm and friendly when I asked him about the secret code from TikTok, and he even gave me a surprise gift - how cool is that? And don't even get me started on Suzumi and Joseph, who killed it with their TikTok dance - it was seriously adorable! And the food... oh my goodness, the food was very delicious. I can't wait to go back 💕💕

One of my favourite restaurants recently.
The best part is the service and hospitality. Totally worth the money.
There is a counter where you can grab seasoning, sauce, ice cream and fruits - unlimited.
We had vegetarian hot pots - one tomato based and another hot one. Don't customize the hot one to make it hotter as it's unbearable (makes your lips numb).
The price for 4 people is $100 for vegeterian.
Still the best! There is a mask show everyday for the lunar New year. Fun for kids and adults.

Awesome experience! Order your base soup, add whatever you like from ingredients menu, enjoy your own brew! 😋 warning: spicy beef soup = strong chilli 🌶 💪but amazingly tasty with overtones of star anise. Had meat, shrimp and veg combo. Self serve ice cream was great.

Went to Hao di Lao hotpot today and the food was amazing. We ate everything. We got four different soup bases and it was all very delicious. The meat was cut thinly and was of great quality. The vegetables were fresh and we left with our bellies full. The hospitality and service was superb from the free snacks, complimentary toothpaste and toothbrush in the bathroom to the amazing performances during dinner, it was all very welcoming. This is not my first time going to Hao di Lao, but the service at this location was just exceptional. Words cannot simply describe it. Ken was also a very good waiter and energetic! He gave us free snacks at the end of our meal which was much appreciated.

By far one of the best hot pot spots in the Bay Area!
What we bordered:
- carp fish x4
- beef tongue
- lamb shoulder
- sukiyaki soup base
- pork bone broth
- sliced abalone x4
Verdict:
They make ordering super easy and our server Suzumi was super attentive and so sweet! She made sure everything we ordered came along with answering any questions we had about any items. For two people we basically ordered $200 worth of food. I guess you can say that we are seafood lovers because we ordered multiple orders of their sliced abalone and their carp fish. I would definitely come again because they have so much to choose from on their iPad. They even have a rewards system where you can redeem points to get free gifts or free food. How can you say no to free food I know I can’t.
