Meadowlark Coffee

Lovely coffee spot in downtown Gainesville! Parking is a bit hard to come by on a Wednesday at 11A as there was movie crews out and a lot of taken street parking. However, there’s a free parking garage for downtown if you don’t mind a brisk walk to the shops! Meadowlark had the nicest employees and service. I got the cappuccino with salted caramel flavoring and it was delicious. They also have specialty lattes to choose from as well. Very comfortable atmosphere with a few tables and bar stools for seating.

This might be the best coffee and pastry shop we've ever been to. Excellent espresso and lattes. Ordered a seasonal latte with Earl grey syrup, and requested a macchiato with a "whisper of milk," which they hilariously indulged us and wrote on the cup. I can't remember where the owner told us they source their pastries from (small bakery in Atlanta) but we tried 4 different pastries and they were all incredible. Best bagels we've ever had, the chocolate banana muffin was delicious, and the lemon blueberry marzipan pastry was amazing. The shop itself has a couple small tables and lush green plants everywhere. Very cozy. We're sad we don't live in Gainesville. Highly recommend.

My favorite coffee shop ever. The coffee flavors and selections they have are incredible and I’ve never had a bad coffee from there. The shop itself is so adorable and cozy, it feels like the perfect spot to slow down for a break. The owners, JP and Sommer, are so nice as well. You can definitely see the love and passion they have for their shop. I always enjoy every part of my experience when I stop by. Thank you Meadowlark!

THE. BEST. COFFEE. Grab your friends and GO!! My husband and I tend to see ourselves as coffee connoisseurs and have had coffee all over the world… Meadowlark is in our top two! The quality of the coffee is unmatched and most importantly, they are consistent every time. On top of having the best coffee, everyone is always so kind and welcoming. We are so grateful they are local to us and are so excited to take our love ones here in the future! 🩷☕👍🏼

My favorite coffee shop in GA! The staff is so welcoming and friendly, and the owner's expertise in coffee is shown through the awesome selection of beans from across the US and beyond. Their seasonal drinks are so thoughtful and incorporate amazing homemade syrups. Pastries are delivered fresh each morning, and the cinnamon roll is out of this world! I recently attended one of JP's cupping classes and it was a great way to meet new people, try some coffees I probably would have never tried on my own, and learn more about coffee in general. 10/10 recommend if you are in the area!

We love Meadowlark Coffee! It is such a great addition to downtown Gainesville. The coffee and pastries are delicious! Always try to make it to this coffee shop if we are in the area. Would recommend to all our friends!

I travel all over the country as a touring musician and am a huge coffee fan. This place has espresso that's on par with some of the best I've ever had! Order it for here and get a sparkling water with your spro.

What a lovely coffee shop! Stopped in this morning to check out what Meadowlark had to offer.

Discovered a thoughtful menu with a variety of coffees from classic drip to espresso, Americano, Cortado and cappuccino. Try yours with a delicious syrup - mocha, salted caramel, lavender, honey rosemary and of course, pumpkin spice this time of year! The cappuccino with honey rosemary was an earthy, frothy delight with just the right sweetness.

There is matcha, chai and kombucha as well as hot or iced teas - both herbal and caffeinated. My steamy mint tea was warming and perfectly brewed.

Don’t miss the delightful fresh pastries. My pumpkin pecan galette was flaky, buttery perfection and the chocolate chip cookie (definitely a grown up cookie that would be perfect to munch with a creamy cappuccino) was full of chocolate chunks.

Meadowlark staff were very friendly and efficient, moving through a line of customers with smiles and getting everyone’s drinks together as a team.

We took our items to go. Indoor seating is at a premium with just two tables. So, grab your drinks before you head out to explore the Square!

Will definitely be back to try their matcha soon - and get the savory caramelized onion galette - yummm!

Hands down, the BEST coffee + sweetest little shop in Gainesville! Not only is it in the perfect location on the downtown square, not only is it decorated so cute & cozy, not only does it serve only the freshest, most incredible types of coffee from around the world (literally) … but it is family owned and operated by some of the sweetest humans this world has. Everyone working here is so kind and helpful in teaching you about the different types of coffee beans sold and served here and everything is incredibly delicious! My husband and I are officially new regulars here and cannot wait to come back ASAP to try everything on the menu & bring home different brands of coffee beans to enjoy at home, too! Stopped by Meadowlark for the first time today. Very impressed with the attention to detail with their spro, drip coffee, and overall setup. Coffee beans for purchase are some of the best. The shop isn’t large by any means but, seems to have just the right amount of everything needed to be the best coffee shop in Gainesville. If you have time and are driving through Gainesville and appreciate good coffee(by that, I mean great coffee), you should stop in! 👍. JP and the staff seem to love what they do! We were glad we stopped in today.

This is the best coffee shop I've been to in Georgia! I ordered a latte with their peach fermented beans. I watched the barista/owner froth the milk into the perfect velvety texture, and knew I was in for a treat. The espresso was perfectly extracted! Knowing how fantastic the coffee is here, I would've ordered a cortado. I'm so excited to find a excellent coffee shop and can't wait to go back. Service was execeptional, pricing was great, and the espresso is served with carbonated water (if you know, you know).

Best espresso I've had in a while. Fruity and juicy...It was great. Also had the apple turnover and it was also very good. Gainesville is lucky to have such a good coffee shop in their city.

Meadowlark continues to surpass all my expectations. In addition to the best espresso drinks I’ve ever had they are now offering homemade syrup that can be taken home and added to my morning latte. I’m also addicted to the homemade fresh sourdough bread they sell. To top it off, Meadowlark has managed to attract the friendliest most talented baristas I’ve met.

Been meaning to write a review for a while now--Meadowlark is such a wonderful coffee shop with the BEST coffee and staff. My personal favorite was their seasonal chocolate orange latte. Definitely the best coffee in the area!

4.5 | very cool ambiance and really good coffee. had a drip and cortado, my friends had an americano and a latte. we all really enjoyed the flavor and the preparation. solid spot and would definitely put this high on the list of coffee spots in Gainesville. service was also rlly great! cute coffee shop with all the fixings of a coffee connoisseur. they had sey, black and white, and other great bean selections. we’ll be back next time we’re in town.

My husband and I stopped as we were traveling through Gainesville, GA. The couple running the place were very friendly and the service was great. My husband had the Columbian house drip, and I had the Peach Latte. Both were very delicious, high quality, and we would would recommend. We also got a loaf of sourdough bread to munch on during our travels. They were kind enough to slice it up for us. We will definitely come back if we are in Gainesville, GA again.

I'm elated that there is finally a coffee shop in Gainesville making coffee of this caliber. Boasting natural process coffees on the espresso menu and delivering attentive customer service is more than enough to earn my favoritism, but JP's latte art sealed the deal. A big thank you to everyone at Meadowlark and I look forward to visiting again soon!

An oatmilk cardamom latte here before going paddle boarding is just what we needed.

JP and the staff was extremely friendly and the home made syrups were delicious!
