Temptations Cafe

Wow, came here on a recommendation. Didn’t look like much outside and inside I thought they only had ice cream. But then I sat in the cozy back area and had the best salad I’ve had since was in Italy.

Great little place on main street with awesome food and atmosphere. Layed back and easy going. Fantastic menu, accomodating wait staff. Nice people.

Good service (and fast!) I've been going here since I was a very little girl. I now go there to enjoy their pesto pasta and some sangria. It's not the CHEAPEST place to eat but it's reasonable and they have very good quality food. To those complaining about pricing, good luck finding a cheap restaurant on main Street that isn't Chinese food. To those complaining about service or servers, the person who served you is most likely gone and I'd give the place another try

After walking the town, what a nice way to enjoy lunch, sitting at the window table of Temptations Café, doing some lazy people watching. A local recommended this place as a favorite. We agree. Very unassuming décor, nice menu – food was remarkably good. We shared a Pastrami Reuben and an order of Kobe Beef Hot Dogs with thick cut bacon and a delicious sweet BBQ dressing on a tasty toasted bun. Kobe or not, the hot dogs were certainly the best or a tie for the best “dog” ever. Service was very attentive. Nyack is a lovely town. We walked Main St and Broadway – filled with people and their pets out enjoying the first real sunny weekend of the season.

Place never disappoints. Good food ALWAYS. Nice diverse crowd. Cool atmosphere. Awesome Arnold Palmer made from fresh squeezed and steeped.

This cafe is outstanding. The Cajun BLT is probably the best BLT I’ve ever had with a heap of delicious thick bacon.

The service is friendly and quick. They also have killer house made lemonade.

Just stopped by for ice cream and it was amazing!!! i got the ummm cookies and cream and trash something on a cone! 10/10!!! Such sweet people who work there. definitely will be stopping by again :)

This place is amazing, the food is always fresh and tasty. The atmosphere is friendly, like it belonged to your favorite uncle

I moved to Nyack from LA a month ago. I was on the hunt for the good eats in a new town. Only took a day to discover TEMPTATIONS !

When you enter you bypass a full ice cream counter and a dessert case with homemade cakes and pies .

The restaurant sports a full menu with amazing breakfasts , burgers, soups and delicious sides such as sweet potato fries , Mac n cheese and assorted beverages.

The wait staff are nice, the chef’s entrees creative and veggie friendly. His spice combos are singularly yummy.
5 stars don’t give this eatery justice. MAKE IT 10!

Popped in for some ice cream and was blown away by how good it was. I ordered the Blueberry Cheesecake and Graham Slam. The scoops were chuck full of actual cheesecake and Graham crackers. Probably the most chunks I have ever had in an ice cream. The flavors are STRONG and the perfect level of sweet The small (two scoops) is enough ice cream to fill your belly, cool you down, and satiate your cravings.

new owners as of early 2022. not new to Nyack tho, as they own another restaurant, prohibition river, also on the main strip. new vibe inside but same style food. I got the big cheese and fries, both were delicious. congratulations to the new owners and staff. your lucky to have rob as the manger!

One of my favorite restaurants in the area. The best kept secret is the specials menu! While all their food is good, the chef Jeremy really shines with the specials. Anything on there is as good as you would find at pricier or more fancy restaurants like Xaviers but in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Staff is friendly and remembers regulars. Has something for everyone.

Relaxing vibe, great delicious dessert, friendly staff, and my peanut butter oreo shake was AMAZING. My mom loved her own vanilla and chocolate swirl cone.

I’ve lived in Nyack for almost 4 years and just tried this place recently and I must say the food was delicious! Wish we found this lil gem sooner! The veggie sandwich is yummy! Will be definitely ordering from here more often! Highly recommend :)

This place looks like an ice cream parlor at a glance but is one of my favorite restaurants in nyack. Their chef seems to be very talented and passionate based on their changing specials that is always delicious and fresh probably because they focus on seasonal produce. Please get the sangria. It is my favorite sangria of all time. Strong but very delicious.

I LOVE this place. Looking in from the outside it looks like just ice cream/deli but in the back there is seating for restaurant with really amazing food. They have new specials every week with really unique and appealing dishes that ALWAYS blow me away. The ice cream and deserts are great as well. Friendly staff too. I highly recommend this place!

Hands down the best food in Nyack! Its far more than just an ice cream shop. The food is consistently good D they change the specials menu every week. They never disappoint! I could literally eat here 7 days a week and not get tired of it.

Their weekend brunch is the best in Nyack! Amazing... cooked by a true pro. So nice to have something a little different than the typical choices. I also enjoy their lunch menu during the week (Beet salad is the best!). So much extra care and attention goes into every meal. Staff are friendly, painted walls in funky little outside area is fun too.

I had a delicious burger and the thai shrimp soup was delicious and delicate. I highly recommend this place. They even let me bring my cat with me to sit outside and gave her a nice order of warm sliced turkey!
