The staff were very friendly in both the shop and the deli. The food was good. I had a salad and the portion was terrific and the produce was fresh. Some items in the shop were a little pricey and others were great. My visit was too early for the nursery to be abundant with plants. I will be back to check it out. This is a unique place to visit.

Their Cafe is a wonderful place to grab lunch and a drink. Their gift shop features many locally made items, adding to "buy local" opportunities!! And their plants and flowers are second to none. All of this helps prepare teens with usable job skills for the future!! A unique gem you should visit!!

Great collection for home and gifts! Local goods in store from around NE Indiana like the Sweet Life Honey Bee Farm in Huntington...

Plus café for food and patio to sit outside...yummy!
The students run the café here, so this is a great experience and they were very helpful too

I just went out to 50 East Garden Center and Cafe a few days ago for the first time. The staff at the cafe and shop/greenhouse were super helpful and friendly. We ordered a latte and caramel macchiato from the cafe. The coffee was fantastic, just a bit long on the wait, but it wasn't a big deal since we shopped while we waited. They had two or three good size greenhouses for outdoor plants, veggies, and herbs. Another greenhouse for succulents, houseplants, and tropical plants. And that greenhouse had an awesome view of yet another greenhouse where they were growing hydroponic plants I'm guessing that they sell later on. Pricing for plants is very reasonable and the shop has a large price range and variety of items. I will definitely be going again and recommend a trip yourself if you haven't been yet!

I took my friend out to lunch at 50 East. It was her first time visiting there! We both enjoyed it greatly! We were given a tour of the poinsettia greenhouse where they have three or four colors of poinsettias. My friend and I just had to have a poinsettia. They also have wonderful gifts to purchase.

A worthy investment, not just coffee and gardens but young men's lives. The coffee was great. The atmosphere was low key and a fun mix of garden supplies and decor.

A place for troubled youth with structured programs ment to help youth get their lives back on the right track after being in trouble or just in bad situations. Both my daughter and son in law worked here (my son in law still does) but this is where my daughter met and adopted my granddaughter and in one swift move she gave me my first granddaughter and also a great grandson. This place really tries hard but financial aids for this kind of service is hard to come by these days so if you have the means please donate to whites it doesn't have to be money donate time and help a kid feel like they are worth something.

I met my parents at the café for breakfast on my day off. I loved browsing the garden center before and after the coffee. The boys working the garden center were kind and helpful. The boys working behind the counter in the cafe were equally as kind. I work as a manager in retail, so I notice things such as going above and beyond for the customer, and I would hire any of the young men I came in contact with in a heartbeat. The coffee was amazing, and I got some Christmas shopping finished, so a win for me, all around :)

I have worked with youth total of 37 years. The job is at times difficult. I am at whites because I love Jesus and I want to make a difference in a child's life. Working at whites is like working any where else you have your good and bad. I believe most people are there to help the kids. We have a lot of good staff that have been here for years. My husband works at White's to.
