When the water is high enough to use the ramp without getting stuck in the mud it's probably one of the easiest boat ramps in the area to use. Perfect slope that's not to steep and just the right angle. Great parking and easy access to the water. The only issue is that if you have a larger boat and need to use the dock at the ramp, people have a tenancy to want to fish from it. If you've never owned a boat I get that you wouldn't understand that it's a boat dock and not a fishing peir. Should they add a fishing pier to the river side? Absolutely they should, and even should consider adding another ramp to the river side to make it accessible in the winter months when the lake level is drawn down 6ft from the summer months for winter flood control. Other than that, you won't find a better place to launch your boat.
