Very cute and quaint coffee shop/cafe that has a bar with beer/cider on tap and a decent book selection for purchase. The iced lattes were good. Service was friendly and as quick as it could be for how busy they were.

Great little coffee shop and bookstore that also offers a full menu, cocktails, and board games. The coffee and food were wonderful and well priced, and the bookstore & board game atmosphere felt unique and fun. Seating can be tough to find at peak times, but spots tend to open up after a little while. It's nice as both a place to meet up and a solo coffee/work stop. Will definitely return.

Great place for a work date 🥹 also they have a back room that can be booked for your workshops or events with a very nice acoustic piano 🎹

It was my daughter’s 13 birthday and we were in Schenectady for a show with my other daughter, 11. I was searching for somewhere to go before the show and found this amazing place! Both my girls are avid readers so I thought this would be a perfect setting for us to eat something and look at some books. The people there were so amazing ( even the other customers)! Someone found us a game to play while we were waiting for our food. I was even able to have a beer there! Great place, a MUST if you’re ever in Schenectady!

I walked by this wonderful place when my kids and I were heading to see Hamilton this past Winter at Proctors. I was so excited to see a cafe/bookstore/bakery that also serves cocktails if you should fancy one ;) and located right in downtown Schenectady.

I finally had the opportunity to stop in yesterday and fell in love with it. There’s plenty of seating inside and on the colorful outdoor patio. Lots of books to peruse and delicious coffees and teas. I haven’t had any of the food or bakery items…yet. I felt extremely comfortable sipping my tea in the front window, working on my laptop and chatting with others. Not to mention the customer service is also wonderful.

It’s a great space and a vibe. I’d highly recommend!

Kind cashier, Better food, and wonderful little atomosphere. My only complaint is that I wish it was bigger and open 7 days a week so that I can be there everyday! I’m obsessed!! Will absolutely be back.

The cocktails are on point! The beverages really shine, whether caffeinated or alcoholic. Great service, great atmosphere. Love it.

I don't know many places where you can get an tasty iced mocha latte, inspired cocktails, craft beer, inventive small plates and sandwiches, play and buy board games, and purchase a book to take with you. Staff is stellar, too! Truly a unique and enjoyable establishment.

This bookstore/coffee shop/bar/sandwich shop is so inviting. I felt like I could curl up with a good book and spend an afternoon there.

We stopped in on a whim while walking downtown, having previously been in to Puzzles when it was open and thinking it was decent, and were very impressed by Novel biblio brew. The atmosphere (exposed brick, crown moulding on the ceilings, books, books, and more books, and a sliding ladder bookcase?!?) is great, as was our brunch meal. Our lattes (whole/hot and oat milk/iced) were both good and the Second Breakfast flatbread was delicious. I also noticed the quality draft beer offerings (today including Froth and Grimm beers) and thought "we will definitely be back, soon." Highly recommended!

This is a well-run place with a nice blend of purposes. A good place to find some interesting books, have a coffee or espresso, have lunch or dinner, or have beer or wine. The big windows let in lots of light making it a nice place to sit for a while, but the service is quick and you'll get in and out on your lunch break if that's your thing.

If you were a Puzzles patron, you'll like Novel too - lots of Sarah's signature touches remain, in a refreshed setting.

Love the vibe. Can't get enough of their Chai Tea Lates. Keep meaning to go to one of their events.

This place used to be Puzzles bakery same owner, just a different idea. Th atmosphere is amazing! When my friend and I went there we sent almost 3 hours easy. Everything tastes amazing, and it is priced great

This place is everything I’ve ever dreamed of. I love the curated book collection, the staff is so friendly, and the vibes are 10/10. I always leave with a ton of books in hand!

I think I've been here 3 times now. I really like the layout, the style, the service is great, and they have an excellent tasting Chai Latte. I'm hoping at some point they start selling Matcha Lattes.

Vibes were immaculate, the decor was beautiful, the drinks I got (mocktail and lychee rose tea) were delectable, the book selection is perfect (I love the mystery books), the barista I chatted with was so sweet, and I want to live in this cafe
