OMGoodness this place is amazing. Staff was attentive, food was absolutely delicious. Prices are very reasonable . Parking was easy to find but a little walk so if limited mobility may cause issue. Not sure if there is another entrance. Ham cheddar sandwich with apples, red onion and pumpkin mayo pictured was so good. I was a little hesitant to pair apples and onions but glad I stepped outside my comfort zone.

Muffins are the best ever! Add the other menu items at those prices.

There is a good reason why Ambition has such a strong following and is the go-to spot for so many people living, working and visiting in Schenectady. Their home fries are 5 stars and they have a large breakfast menu that is great. But their dinner options are NEXT LEVEL! The fact that their tiny kitchen can consistently put out such incredible food is amazing. Now, the only sad part is they don't always offer dinner, it's usually just for Proctors shows. But wow, if you get a chance to come for dinner, cancel all your other plans and come here. Fresh, delicious food from appetizers, through their huge main course portions and great deserts. Try something new and you won't be disappointed.

Delicious breakfast with a cool vibe....the French omelette keeps me coming back over and over. And my goodness those boozy muffins are heavenly. Service is almost always great and the prices are perfect .

This place is adorably kitschy. The from the eclectic wall decor to the fun menu naming, it is a great place for a drink and relaxing meal. The staff was very friendly. The food was absolutely delicious.
My husband ordered the Bluffin' With my Muffin sandwich (not pictured), the pretzel bun was so soft and not too dense as some can be. My daughter ordered the Avocado Toast and declared it to be the best she has ever had, she was so impressed y the squeeze of lemon and sprouts (she lives in Long Island and has A.T. often)
I had the eggs Benedict special and it was clear that it was made with love. The ham was delicious the hollandaise sauce was not gloopy and the home fries were well seasoned and actually crispy. I also had the hot chocolate and it was chocolatey deliciousness.
The only negative about the place, my husband said the bathroom was reminiscent of a dive bar bathroom but I am not deducting any points because everything else was perfect.

Amazing restaurant, it’s small but totally worth the wait if you need to have one I swear. My mother and I go to breakfast every Saturday and we decided to try this place this morning and I will say we both said we will be back. Prices are cheap. You can tell the food is fresh, like I would say farm fresh. This is definitely a hidden gem in Schenectady. The place was packed and it didn’t even seem like we waited that long for our food. They are just incredible. I want to go back for their lunch because that menu looked even more amazing than their breakfast. Highly recommend this place will be one of my new favorite breakfast restaurants and I promise if you try it you’d say the same thing!

Such a great little spot! Had a delicious breakfast sandwich and muffin. Staff was wonderful, the space is cozy and eclectic, definitely recommend.

Pass the big Chain spots and come here. We were passing through the area and this place has us saying "We need to pass through more often" try the bread pudding Muffins

This is a great place with tasty meals. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars on food was because I was still a bit hungry afterwards. I didn't have desert so that may be the reason. All in all can't wait to go back!

2023 This is a favorite stop on Jay Street in Schenectady. Trendy area for coffee, breakfast and/or lunch. Really good Latte/Cappuccino
1984 it was the Jay Tavern a local pub for lawyers, politicians and business people.

Cool atmosphere, friendly staff, great food! Will definitely stop in again when in the area.

I could list just about all their food as amazing, but you'd be doing yourself a disservice if you didnt get one of their Boozy Bread Pudding Muffins. The food, coffee, staff, and the charm of the cafe itself makes it a go to place.

Such a cute and neat little place!!! Right on Jay street in Schenectady which is the best spot with other cute little shops to walk around! There is free parking on the backside. The place is super cool inside and the atmosphere is very relaxing and vintage like inspired! Our waitress was awesome. All the people there are lovely! The food was great it is more of a cafe so their portions were regular or towards the tad smaller size just to note. Great for a little sandwich to meet with a friend or if you’re new to the area you have to go try! Also their lattes are amazing.

It's a funky little restaurant near a lot of little boutiques. The men were beyond friendly, we felt like home, being away from home. The bagel sandwich was Amazing and the muffins were moist and not too sweet. We loved it, even if you just go for a drink it's a fun atmosphere.

Food is always excellent here and staff are experienced and friendly. Great for late weekend breakfast or before work during the week.

Stopped here on our trip through Schenectady this summer. The service and overall college-town atmosphere were great, especially if that is the vibe you are looking for. The food was also good and hit the spot! Brunch options were good and there was something everyone could eat in our party (including out young child traveling with us).

This place is really cool! Kind of a super small hole in the wall type of place. Its like one long narrow corridor. Great breakfast food! The croissant breakfast sammie was unreal. They use 2 eggs for their sandwiches, and meat is extra add on, but the sammie is completely customizable. Im not a home froes person, but I finished mine because they were bomb dot com.

The Verklempt and orange juice were great! Definitely check out this place for brunch, or for whenever! Very conveniently located near the farmer's market on Sundays.

Staying in downtown Schenectady for the wedding of our dear friends. Stopped at Ambition for breakfast. Interesting old building with lots of atmosphere located on historic Jay Street. Had an excellent omelet, my wife had a generous portion of French Toast with fresh Strawberries. Friendly attentive service. Alcoholic beverages available as well.
