Tacoma Goodwill - South

I have had great experiences at this Goodwill store. I donate frequently and also shop. The funds they receive from our purchases are used to help people train and find work in our local area. Most adults can go find a job on their own, however, I have a son who needs help finding just the right spot. This is what Goodwill does for people who need that help. I appreciate that service. Thank you Goodwill.

Watched a manager(?) help a homeless man get a pair of shoes today. Touched my heart. Isn't that what charity is really about? Earlier today at Lakewood GW watched 2 ladies training 2 special needs employees. They were so sweet and kind. Type a day that makes an ex con like me tear up with hope in humanity. Full time reseller here, Yes thrift stores are getting pricey but at least here they give back, and accept returns, and don't staple holes in the
clothing.

Such a great variety! My buddy has an unusual pillow, and I found a matching one for her birthday, cheap, looks new.
Then a thick cable knit men's sweater, wool, size XL...donated because it shrank to a women's med-large..under $8.00.... Happy Accident!😀

Got A Pair of Decent condition New Balance Shoes 👟 for $9.92 💲 which in my view isn’t a bad deal at all thx a lot to them 🗣

You can buy gadgets and gizmos there for cheap and stuff like that so yeah everything is good there I am just waiting for the bus and I'm going back home so but Goodwill does not have they they can buy gas and gizmos and stuff like that so hope everybody knows that this is what I'm talking about you hope this message

Sunday of Sep 17th, 2023 I started shopping at Goodwill South Tacoma with the big smile greeting of Ms. Lora who is not only performed her duty as cashier but also she took a chance to arrange stuffs near cashier counter while no one there. She is the one with friend greeting to customers but also laborious.

Then I went to 6th Ave Goodwill, again I saw one woman (about 12.15pm) at cashier with gentle smile to another customer and said bye to us.

This is rarely in almost goodwill stores as usual. I wish there are some more staff like Lora and the lady who were nice, respected to customers after purchasing.

Happy with the fact.

The people that work here are great, they are friendly and if you ask for help they will. My last visit there we were looking for kids costumes and accessories while we were paying a few items didn't have tags the gal rang them up cheap, and was most friendly and helpful.

Find donations here that are quality but they go fast. People living on the streets next to the store. You can drop stuff off in the back of the building.

I donated 5 35 gal. bags of clean clothes and miscellaneous stuff and the gal that came out was very sweet. I told her everything was clean no stains, rips or tares. She looked at me like I was joking she said no one really does that anymore. Well i said I do, and will be bringing more your way!

I always find lots of good stuff here. This time came and looked for a camping chair before we paid full price at Bass Pro. Found one for $8. Really nice store. Staff is always nice. Will definitely be coming back.

Been here twice while visiting Tacoma. Love thrifting.. found great stuff both times.

I like shopping at Goodwill. However, be warned, this Goodwill does not allow customer access to the restrooms. They suggested I take my children to the bathroom at Bass Pro Shop. I did. The bathrooms are awesome there! And we continued shopping there instead.

Very clean, I think its great that they have security in the store. The Goodwill on 72ed and Portland really needs it. Also the 72nd St store really needs to be cleaned up. One of the rows smelled like someone had peeed somewhere on the floor or shelf...

Always has the best stuff out of all of the Goodwills in the area. Whenever my mom asks me "omg, that's great! Where did you get it from?", and I say "the good Goodwill", she totally understands, and so does everyone else i know. Their items here are the best in pierce county.

This is one of my favorite stores of their chain. I always walk out with what i was looking for and more. It has a large selection for all from clothing to art, tools,toys and oddities at great pricing considering the cost at all the thrift store in the area have increased over the years. Large isles to manover thru so your browsing is not interupted because you or someone else needs to move your cart or something else. Plenty of parking , restrooms, and quick cbeckouts. Restaurants very nearby also.

Good location and great service. The items were great and a lot of good quality clothes and bran new items as well to choose from

Cashier was nice, and friendly. Clothing options were great and I even picked up a few brand new Christmas decorations on super sale.

Clean like always. This goodwill has a great shoe selection and nice clothes. The staff is pleasant and friendly.
