Absolutely adore this little book shop. Had a wonderful chat with the owner. Super clean and well designed space. Love the murals throughout the store. Kid/Young Adult focus, but has a little bit for everyone. Loved seeing manga, graphic novel, and comic sections. Reallty loved the D&D section and games. Picked up a cute puzzle for myself. Has a nice party/game room that is available for rental. Definitely will be coming back.

We hosted a baby shower at the bookshop and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The owner was so nice and accommodating and everything was so beautiful. They made sure that there was the cutest chalk sign celebrating the baby and the entire shop was clean and well decorated. We felt so welcomed and truly had the best time! It was such a nice environment to celebrate mom and baby.
The store itself is well stocked and curated beautifully. It has a great selection of children's books and comics.
I highly recommend this store and would encourage any book lover to look into hosting an event at this location!

It’s so nice to have a local book store that’s family owned. They have great customer service. You don’t see that very much anymore these days. They have a wide variety but are always willing to order a book if we want something specific. They have a small play area for the kids in the front and a nursing/changing room in the back. Will definitely continue to support them.

This store is so friendly and helpful, particularly to moms. My daughter loves to play with the toys while I browse, there is a nursing room and changing area so I don’t have to leave unexpectedly for my son. There is always something new on display. The staff is wonderful. This bookstore has such a positive impact on the Jefferson small businesses. Love this little gem! We have come for storytelling a few times as well.

Way more than a book shop!

As I travel, I like to visit different comic book shops and I saw this one on my way home. Though it is not just a comic shop - they have games, toys and so much more. The owners are super friendly and helpful. If my daughter was with me then I would have come home broke.

Relating to comics, they have a wide selection of new releases from a myriad of companies. However they have a very small inventory of back issues. The pricing for back issues is also very good.

For any Veterans, it is good to know that they offer a military discount.

This place is brand new and I wish them the best of luck!

Our entire family loves this shop! They carry so many wonderful books and Shauna is always ready with a recommendation if you need to find your next read. She is happy to special order books and she is even set up to purchase online which is so convenient. My kids feel completely at home here as well and we rented the event space for both of their birthday parties. Shauna goes above and beyond to create a safe, welcoming atmosphere for everyone that comes through the doors.

My kids and I love this cute new shop in downtown Jefferson. Lots of different books and an adorable atmosphere. Shauna, the owner, is really nice and helpful. I am so happy we have a book store in town and their community room is a clever add for smaller events or gaming events. Great spot to take the kids to start or grow a love for reading.

This is absolutely one of my favorite places to go and I love how they have so many good books, and so many other awesome things. The owner is wonderful and one of the sweetest people I've ever met and she makes it such a wonderful place to shop at. And it is definitely reasonably priced considering other chain bookstores are so much more expensive. You should definitely visit the shop and look around.

I’ve been a repeat customer since Dragons Lair opened. This place is AMAZING and is such an asset to our community. The atmosphere is unique and welcoming, and there’s something for EVERYONE here. Very inclusive, supportive bookshop that caters to each customers shopping needs. Owner provides a special touch and really goes the extra mile for each individual customer. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, she will special order it for you. Once you walk through these doors you never want to leave. Fun for all people of all ages. Best book store I’ve been to! They’re always very friendly and the prices are reasonable. I go in probably about once a month or so, since I’m part of a book club and am always greeted when I come in and asked if I need help finding anything….and if they don’t have what you’re looking for, they’ll order it for you. PLUS she has a whole section devoted to one of my favorite authors, so added bonus lol! I love to support local, and this shop gives me even more reason to!

Our family loves Dragon’s Lair! We’re big nerds who love books, games, comics, and puzzles, and to have a locally owned shop that caters to us is amazing. Our son loves exploring the shop and we love exposing him to books and perspectives he might not get elsewhere.

Dragon's Lair is a true gem in Jefferson. This local bookstore is full of magic for all ages. The owners are amazingly friendly and knowledgeable. They truly care for their community and want to provide the best experience possible. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

The best part of downtown Jefferson! They have all the things that I did not know I needed. The owners make me feel so welcome every time I stop in. They host fun events each month. This is truly the bookstore of my dreans!

I adore this jewel of a local independent bookstore. When I decide I need any book in the world, I just message the info to Shauna at Dragon's Lair, and she magically has it in days. Boom: easier than Amazon and you get to feel virtuous for supporting an incredible local business. :) It's also a wonderland for kids big and small and right next to a frozen yogurt shop, so a no-brainer for anyone planning a family day out. All the stars.

Dragon's Lair Bookshop in Jefferson, GA is a shining diamond in this small town. If you think you are walking into a musty old shop that has the aroma of damp thick pages and broken book spines - you are sadly mistaken. This is the heart of the community! Everyone is welcome, and everyone walks away with the wonder that has been created by the owners and their cadre of talented friends. You can: Buy a comic book for yourself or someone special, purchase a gift for your favorite bookworm (I especially love the wooden bookmarks), find out when the gaming group meets, have your teen join an art class by local accomplished illustrators, host a birthday party/baby shower, attend a special event crafted to meet specific reading preferences (Romance novel night most recently), bring your toddler for story time featuring some of the best children's books, or....you can buy a book. If they don't have what you want, they can special order it and it'll be there in no time at all. This is indeed much more than a bookstore, it's a special world designed to pique your interests and immerse you in all that you love.

We are so lucky to have this gem on the square in downtown Jefferson! Knowledgeable local owners are stocking new and used books for every age and interest (and offering terrific online ordering/delivery), vintage and hot-off-the-press comic books, cute stickers and stationery, small gifts and games. Being able to rent the space for small parties — kids or adults — is a bonus!

Ours family’s favorite place. We love the owner, we love the shop. The prices are right on par with other bookstores. This place is special and I hope it sticks around for a long time as we will continue to support this local business.
