Escape Reality Comics

THIS is a true comic shop, not a pop culture store that sells comics. Largest selection of back issues I've seen in 15 years. The dude working the counter (super long hair) was engaging and very knowledgeable in his craft and his inventory. He even engage with my boys (5 & 8) and didn't treat them like trash (they know how to behave, mostly, around comics) even though they were super excited to see everything. Il definitely be back!

Went there saturday to see what they had haven’t been to this comic book shop since i was a kid they had all kinds of comic books to choose from and employee that was working was super friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend people to stop in and see what they have

Great selection for the size of the store! Featuring an absolute ton of comics from various times and publishers, including some rare ones, some graphic novels/manga, figurines, DND minis, legos, and stickers. Definitely the place to look for comics though! Nice and knowledgeable staff as well.

Best comic shop on this side of town! Lots of good comics and action figures, and the staff is super chill and friendly! I go here about once a month, it’s the best! And we spend every Free Comic Book Day here too. Awesome place, would totally recommend!

Stopped by here on my way through on vacation and was pleasantly surprised with the selection. The cashier was also very helpful and found one TPB I was looking for. If I was local I would def make this my local shop. Thanks!

This place really snuck up on us. Was trying to kill time and turn around and then BAM. We found it. Good selection and the man working was pleasant to chat with. Really, a hidden gem.

Just visited this store while on vacation, and it’s one of the best comic shops I’ve ever been in! The staff was super friendly and easy to talk to. The store had an excellent layout and efficient use of space. Found a lot of hard to find issues at a great price can’t recommend more highly!

Great little comic book store. Lots of comics to choose from and they also have some collectibles, Lego’s, some trading cards and other things. The owner is super nice too and very knowledgeable. A nice way to spend some time on this gorgeous East Tennessee afternoon.

I go every year with my son and the owner is always nice, professional and helpful to my son..he even gave him some extra comics for free! I will only go to this comic book store when I'm in town! Don't go anywhere else!! This is where you get the best deals and best service!!!

Unfussy place with a great selection. I really liked the pre-bagged series for sale.

Great all around shop! In town for a family vacation and my son and I needed our new comics fix. Stopped in and was blown away by what a great local shop we lucked into. Great back issue selection and organization, fair prices and welcoming environment. They were even cool with us taking some photos and video around the shop for our weekly comics haul YouTube video my son and I do together. Shop here if your local and if like us on vacation this is the spot to get your comics fix while away from home!

MUST GO!!! If you have an child intersects in comic books or you yourself are a lover of comic books and visiting the Pigeon Forge area GO HERE! Not only will you find a selection of great comics but you will also find knowledgeable employees. But the best thing is the PRICES!!! I have a youngster who is starting out with comics and I got great comic books for only $1. Think about it. $1 comic books is a steal especially if you are a little creative as well. Go check this place out. You won’t be disappointed 😃

My son went wild in here! This is a fantastic old school comic shop. New and old at good prices. Parking is limited but we'll definitely come back next time we're in the area.

Visited Escape Reality on a trip from VA. Enjoyed the simple layout that made it easy to search for back issues as well as the wall shelves filled with newly released comics. You'll also find a great selection of packaged issues from comic runs/ story arcs that I wish more shops did. Lots of what looked like 1/6th scale statues as well as figures. Really loved the simplicity to help find things I was curious about looking for and the laid back atmosphere. See you guys on the next trip back!

Great store, fantastic staff. Great array of comics all organized. Backlog is easy to shift through if you are looking for specific characters. Staff incredibly helpful and knowledgable about various comics with great recommendations. Had a selection of complete runs (mostly 4-12) series organized for complete mini runs. Great comic book store overall.

This really is the best place around. There's no drama with other shops. Prices are very fair. The selection is vast and very well organized. If they don't have something, they are more than happy to order it for you. Owner seems like a pretty cool cat and very knowledgeable. This is definitely a place to check out if you're a comic fan.

I came to this place looking for it under its former name, but I wasn't disappointed.
There as a large selection of new, old, and rare comics. Everything was well organized, and clean.
The staff was very friendly and well educated on his market. He actually stayed open a little bit after closing time as we were engaged in conversation.
The prices were fair, and there was a wide variety of genres of comics. There was also a collection of action figures, busts, and lego models.
Fantastic service and inventory. Planning to make it a regular stop.
