I love this place!! The location and outside would not have drawn me in if a friend had not recommended it. I also don't really like Boba Tea or Ramen. But.. the menu is much bigger than that.

The food is fresh, original, and huge servings. The proprietor is so kind!! I have found a new regular for dine in and take out (and I've been here 3 times in a month). The inside is really cute and very clean. I highly recommend. I'd love to get crowds coming in so she will stay!!

I would love to keep this place a secret, but that won't help them get the business they deserve! Upon arriving, the kind lady in the front immediately greeted us and told us we could sit wherever we'd like, and once we're ready to order to come back to the front and pay there. We ordered the K-potato hot dog, chicken katsu dup-bap, and the spicy tonkotsu ramen. The food came out quickly, the ramen was good, and the appetizer was also very good. But, let me just say that the chicken katsu and the little mushrooms that come with it are AMAZING, and it was the spotlight of our lunch! Please never change anything about that dish it's perfect!!! Looking forward to coming back to try the rest of the menu!

My wife and I have come twice. Both times amazing. She got the spicy miso Ramen both times and loved it. First time I got the tonkotsu chicken Ramen and 2 different sushi rolls. All amazing. The rolls were a little basic but still fresh and fantastic. The second time I got the salmon dupbap. My absolute favorite by far, my wife however hated it (she's not a fan of smokey food). The boba here is also great.

I can definitely sense this becoming one of my new favorite places! I got just an order of Takoyaki, and the fried jalapeño tuna roll on my way home from work. And the atmosphere was amazing, the employee’s were amazing and my food got done so quick! Food was absolutely delicious, and I cannot wait to try the ramen. Definitely recommend!!!

Very good addition to Lakewood! This was my first time coming here and I will be back again. The owner was so kind and attentive throughout my whole meal. Their Chicken Katsu was juicy and crispy. I was not a total fan of the Spicy Miso Ramen which needed more Miso flavor but, I will try the tonkatsu ramen and shoyu ramen next time. It also got pretty hot with the bright lights shinning down on you.

Cute little place in Lakewood! Not far from downtown Tacoma! The food was fresh and sooo delicious! Staff was friendly and attentive. Will be coming back!

Walking into this establishment was like entering a portal into a cozy little cafe and it was really peaceful. The service was excellent and the staff was super sweet. I got the shoyu shrimp ramen and it was excellent. Will definitely return. Thanks to the staff!

Tried Cafe Brown tonight. What a LOVELY clean, warm, cozy atmosphere. I think it might be the owner, her name is Jenny and it feels like you’re in her home. (My son and I went to the Smoke Shop next door and that guy was raving about the food too-telling us other dishes to try.) Everyone was so cheerful and welcoming. The food was AMAZING!!! You get like a serving size bowl for your ramen! Easily 2-3 people could share! For $15-$16? Deal. I ate until I was full and easily have lunch for tomorrow and possibly some for dinner! The fried tofu was out-of-this-world and the bubble tea was so smooth and yummy! I can’t wait to try new items on the menu. You will want to support this sweet little locally-owned restaurant-I promise you won’t be sorry! (I always go to reviews to decide where to go and I rarely leave them-so if I do, it’s a winner!) The Oakbrook/Lakewood area needed a new restaurant! Go visit these kind people!

Love this place. My roll was perfect. Roll with tea was under 20 bucks. Plenty of seating for now I think cafe brown will explode when word gets out. They also do take out but I prefer dinning in. Clean and fast service. 10 stars from this guy

Cozy atmosphere, great service and delicious boba. The fry on the calamari and shrimp I had was absolutely perfect and I can’t wait to eat here again!

The food here is delicious and the workers are so kind! My favorite cafe by far. I tell all my friends to come here every chance I get. It’s so clean, the atmosphere is nice, even the bathroom is beautiful. At this point, this looks like a bot review lol but it’s seriously so good!!

everything about this place is perfect, it’s a small hidden gem in this town that everyone needs to know about. the staff are so kind and always so willing to help you with anything.

Small business located on Steilacoom Blvd, just minutes from Oakbrook, Pierce College, and Western State Hospital. I've eaten there once and ordered char siu ramen for pick up twice. On both occasions for pick up, it was ready when I got there (a big plus for those working near by!). The soup base was rich and deep-flavored, and the char siu was some of the tastiest I've eaten, adding yet another layer of flavor with just a hint of sweetness. The owner is welcoming and ensures the customers are taken care of. Her smile and friendliness, along with the good ramen, make it a pleasure to support this business.

The people that run the establishment were very inviting and friendly. Did not have to wait long for food; its perfect for a lunch break from work. They had reasonable prices and the portions were huge. The food tasted out of this world. I loved the fried calamari, it was better than any other place I have tried.

Amazing cuisine with a great variety and amazing staff. The food is displayed beautifully and tastes amazing, I would 100% recommend to anyone who likes this style of food. And just to top it all off the place just looks beautiful and the atmosphere is quite calming with the nice lighting and beautiful paintings.

Very rarely do I leave reviews, but when you walk into a place like Cafe Brown, it’s hard to leave without wanting to tell everyone about it! :) It was my first visit after a recommendation from a friend. The three lovely ladies behind the counter were friendly, polite and very helpful. I wanted a taro boba tea to go, but will now be going back to see what their food menu has to offer as It looks absolutely delicious! The milk tea was absolutely superb and tasted like it was naturally made, unlike some other local offerings that can taste artificial and powdery. This was not the case at Cafe Brown. They have a wide selection of flavors and even toppings, It’s great! Everyone inside seemed to be enjoying themselves, the store was very clean and had a peaceful vibe about it. I LOVE family owned restaurants and I’m so happy to see this store pop up near my home. A+ Brown Cafe, you are doing excellent !

The food was incredible and the staff was so friendly! I had the spicy smoked salmon roll and a tofu veggie ramen. Soooo yummy! The salmon roll wasn’t spicy at all though. They have more menu options in the restaurant than they do online also which was a pleasant surprise. It’s cute, very clean, and the food is good. I will be coming back frequently!

Very good place! You should come try this restaurant! They have very big portions, delicious food, and great service! The people here are very sweet and want the best for their customers! Very calming atmosphere and pretty decorations too!
