This cafe and the staff are amazing! The atmosphere is comfy, cool and bohemian. The food is stellar! Try the grilled cheese with salmon and avocado sandwich...there are many vegetarian options including breakfast burritos and pizza. I highly recommend a blue magic smoothie with ginger...incredibly delicious! The cafe has live music often as well as cabaret nights. Check out the magical healing center and crystal shop next door!

I have lived up the road from here for years and am vegan and made a BIG mistake not stopping in before. Boyfriend and I did and will be back to continue to support small buisness. These recipes are SO good!

I like this quirky joint more every time I go there! I started by stopping in for coffee and healthy delicious brunches/lunches, but have started popping in during the evenings. Whether it's an open mic, an art show, or a cabaret performance, it seems that there is always something fun going on! I've gotten to see so much talent on display here! All the employees are super friendly, the food is bomb and the coffee is great! I am so stoked to have found this neighborhood gem!

From the service to the food everything was delightful! We even got to see their fun crystal shop next door and experience their sound healing at the Shoka Zen Den! All I can say is after going to a two day festival in Tacoma to ending our trip with this place was purely outstanding! Vegetarian and vegan options galore!!! The whole atmosphere of this place is inspiring, artistic, classy with a dash of hippie flare and uniqueness! Don’t miss this gem of Tacoma 💎💓💎

This little gal really knows how to do it right in my book. First the atmosphere has such an eclectic ,hippie, bohemian style to it that you can't wait to peek around the corner to see what's next. We came in just after 10 am on Sunday. There were Two patrons ahead of us. We were happy to see she served alcohol and with great new combinations to compliment the style. But what really wowed us was the food. I had the big platter and hubby had the breakfast pizza. Both if us were taken back by the flavors and the obvious love she throws in. It was everything we could ask for and more. I can't wait to turn on others to this little secret gem, and especially looking forward to a cabaret show. Sounds fun! It is small and could most likely fill up quick. So long as your not in a hurry it's a great place to visit and enjoy!

the food can be a bit of a wait, but i come to enjoy my book and relax, with a drink in hand. and it is always SO worth the wait.
made to order, fresh, and genuinely made with love (they tell me every time)! it's great that everything is available vegan/vegetarian, too. this place knows what they're doing, and they do it well.

I've been so exited to try this place and finally did! The avocado toast was bae, the bury me in ginger smoothie bowl was also absolutely amazing. My only regret is not going sooner. This is going to be my go to zen place for solo dates and healthy tasty grub. 10/10 service 10/10 vibes and 10/10 will be back again!

Funky vibe but nice people and great food!! The breakfast platter is everything. Pancakes (get the lemon blueberry) plus the most amazing scramble I’ve ever had. Packed with unique flavors.

Service can be slower so find a spot to chill. Food is clearly made with love and small staff is super friendly. Vegan dishes are clearly marked.

Looking forward to returning to try more dishes.

I really liked their Sound Bowl experience for healing. So relaxing! They have awesome food options like the Tuscan Toast (without kalamata olives, for me), Pear & Balsamic Flatbread was yum 😋, and I loved their Blue Magic Antioxidant Smoothie, & Strawberry Piña Smoothie! This place is amazing. First off I’m so happy to be able to order vegan pancakes and waffles again! We’ve only ever come here for breakfast but it is so good and my favorite breakfast spot! My family is vegan but dad and wife are not, but this is a place that everyone walks away fat and happy! Every time he visits we go there because everyone finds something to eat they enjoy!
For breakfast I can personally vouch for the Breakfast Platter, I chose French toast! OMG it’s so good with the fruit, candies nuts and I didn’t even need to put syrup on it! The sweet potato hash was heavenly! I got a chai that was amazing as well! We all ordered different items and it was all amazing! The smoothie bowls are really good too and so beautifully put together. This vibe of the place and the customer service is amazing as well. I’m not playing when I say it’s my favorite breakfast spot! I’ve only been here a few times because it’s so far from me but man it’s so worth it! Don’t forget to check out the shop next door too there is some really beautiful and fun items for the kinda person who enjoy the vibe of R&S!

Had been driving by this little gem for a while and finally had the time to stop. We ordered cheesy garlic bread and a salmon and cream cheese bagel. The staff is very personable and the food is SO good.

Had an enjoyable little lunch, liked the coffee, the bowl, and the jalapeno poppers I had. The atmosphere here was great. I was the only customer there most of the time, and I had a chance to read one of the books they have out. The lady serving me was very nice as well. Very cute little espresso cup.

Loveeee! The kids, sis and I came into this establishment and were welcomed immediately. We tried a few different things and oh my gosh the turmeric fries were 100 out of 10. The nachos were amazing. We absolutely loved the vegan sour cream. The salmon sliders were perfect. Ever since we went, We have been looking forward to going again.

I was in the area and wanted a quick bite. The smoked salmon jalapeño poppers were amazing. They were demolished!

Great food for alternative diet foodies. I'm a major meat eater and the meatless meatball sandwich with sweet potato fries was great! The full coffee and juice bar is amazing!

Wow the energy in this cafe is from another world.. they have amazing food i.e vegetarian food, burgers n' fresh squeezed juices served by amazing staffs. This beautiful place is perfect for events/parties or just hanging with friends. You can tell that I love this place especially on Open Mic Wednesdays😍❤🔥

This place a diamond for earth walkers and down right throwback chill I'll be coming here just for the smoothies alone and the jackfruit tacos did I mention the live jazz 😋 that kale salad 🥗 was huge and filling and next door all the gemstones and sound baths and parasite removal tapping into an all natural world without politics and religion which is much needed for a complete mind renewal

The Rise and Shine Cabaret Cafe is the real deal. My sister hangs out here all the time after school and I finally came down one day to check it out. I recommend parking across the street at the post office. I ordered and iced lavender matcha latte and the person working the counter told me, “we ran out of lavender syrup, I have to go out back and cut some and the syrup takes a while to make” so if that doesn’t tell you how fresh their ingredients are, I don’t know what does. I recommend coming down here for a cool vibe and good coffee.
