A lovely, friendly and rare all day breakfast place with good coffee and food. Highly recommended! We came for the first time. Love their chicken kabob, chicken sandwiches from lunch menu and chicken & waffle breakfast. Very cozy. A sunny day helps too. Will definitely bring friends here soon.

Set in an early American home in one of the oldest places in Montgomery County, Locals Farmer's Market is a cute little spot for breakfast, coffee, and lunch. There is plenty of outdoor seating. Google's directions take you to their parking lot rather than the store front and given that they are in two different places, that is really helpful. There are only a handful of spots by the storefront.

The food is plated brilliantly and the taste does not disappoint. My chimichurri chicken kabob over salad was exquisite. The London Fog (Earl Gray with milk) was also delicious. My partner had the Rise and Shine with a mountain of bacon. Very tasty. Will be going again.

There's beautiful art on the walls and they do special events too.

Very good breakfast food.

For those hiking the America Discovery trail coming off the river into Poolsville will nearly save 2hrs before rejoining the Ohio & Chesapeake canal. Plus you get to have a hot breakfast!

My favorite breakfast spot. Lovely atmosphere, service, and outstanding food. Owners are lovely people and the outdoor area with music is awesome in the warmer months.

This is one of the only "All Five" stars. I had the Turmeric Steamer for a beverage with the breakfast sandwich. On our way out, we purchased the cheese loaf and olive sourdough. Both loaves were consumed within 24 hours as you just kept wanting more. Local tap beers available too, which was a surprise for me st this location!!
Staff - Busy!! Coming from a background in restaurants and staffing, I was very impressed by their composure. Quick and hot food on top of it. If I could have bottled up the entire location and move it back to South Dakota with me, I would have.
Product- Fresh. Fresh. Fresh. That is the name of the game! From tomatoes, noodles, cookies, cheese, oils, jams, breads, etc. I was VERY impressed. Check them out if you are in the neighborhood. This place is a gem!!

Cozy, warm and lovely neighborhood Cafe with great foods. I specially recommend the Local's sourdough breads and the chocolate chip cookies. Also, one of the place to buy locally roasted coffee beans and Poolesville's honey.

New Hours: Sat., Sun. 9-2. Locals Coffeeshop and Bakery is a beautiful outdoor space about to blossom. Already, owners Sandy and Dave Therriault have carved a gem into historic Poolesville—a respite from the bustle, a place where locals can gather in a serene setting for a latte, a scone, or an iced chai tea. The fresh baked sourdough boule or sourdough boule with mozzarella and cheddar cheese are favorites. Be sure to get there early for the sourdough pretzels, as they’re sure to sell out. Eat The Rainbow from the agricultural reserve provides fresh carrots, spinach, mixed greens, salad turnips and radishes. The current bakery and cafe are soon to bloom into a breakfast, lunch, and dinner restaurant in a cool historic building, serving beer and wine. An outdoor dining patio will overlook a spectacular sculpture garden, a result of David’s artistic vision and dream which evolved over 30 years of sculpting art and running Alden Farms, a nursery now transformed into David’s sculptor‘s showcase. David’s plans for the restaurant include an outdoor stage where he will feature local musical talent and an art gallery showcasing local photographers and artists. He hopes to launch these features in time for Poolesville Day this July. This next chapter in the life of Sandy and Dave will fulfill their dream and provide a community treasure for the locals and visitors of Poolesvillle.

Fun place for lunch. Had the chicken kabobs and they were great. They also came with a skewer of veggies and a great fresh salad. To top it off, I had a local brew. We are outside which was quite pleasant. Recommended.

The food was incredible, and they support local agriculture and help feed people with produce donations to increase food security in the community. And they are all nice people! You will not be disappointed, and you can feel really good about spending money there!

Such a cute place for lunch! The food was fantastic, a lot of artisan goods in the store, and the outdoor seating area was lovely. Very attentive staff. I also didn't feel that the food was overpriced, and it was all phenomenal.

Very cute place. The owners make you feel welcome. Good meeting place to catch up with family and friends. Emphasizes the small town feel that Poolesville is known for. Love the artwork and the opportunity to buy goods from artisans. Very friendly staff. I highly recommend this restaurant. Please support them.

Locals is an out-of-the-way gem - a bit pricey, but the food is good and the old-time ambiance is great. It fronts on Fisher Ave. next to the historic John Poole House and the old Town Hall; the parking is in the rear, around the corner. It has a pretty robust menu (including breakfast all day), comfortable seating indoors and out (tented and not), and friendly staff. Thematically it "celebrates" Montgomery County's Agricultural Reserve.

I've had the tomato basil soup and grilled cheese sandwich (is there anything better on a nasty day?), and the beef BBQ and chicken BBQ sandwiches. All are ample and tasty. And the muffin/scone/cookie selection is wide-ranging. This is one place I go out of my way to visit!
