Sherry's Cafe Cakes & Catering

We loved it! The food was excellent as was the service! The dining room and the serving area were clean and pleasant. It was so nice to have soft music playing in the background and not loud, screaming noise. The servers and waitstaff were very pleasant and helpful. We will definitely go back.

The food was pretty good. It was not as good as it was when we were there last month on a week day. I was very disappointed with the green beans! They had put some hot pepper sauce in them and I don't want anything hot; not even with black pepper!! That needs to be added AT THE TABLE! The service was great. My husband's pork chop did not get out until he was almost done eating so they removed it from the bill!! We appreciated that!

Went for lunch today. The food was excellent and the portions were generous not skimpy. It was not a really busy day so we stayed and chit chatted for a good while. The staff were great about that.

Sherry's is a wonderful meat and three vegetables restaurant. Cafeteria style serving which I like because you get your food really fast without having to wait. I strongly recommend the catfish nuggets there really good. All of the sides that I had were great. The macaroni and cheese the sweet potato casserole the broccoli casserole and the Mexican cornbread were all really good.
Sherry is a great cook and super friendly. Say hi!

This has to be one of the best places to eat that actually reminds you of your grandma's cooking! Love Sherry's Cafe, they even waited on me to pick up my food even though I was only like 1 minute behind it was very nice of them. I will always be grateful!

We've been hearing great things about Sherry's and had to try it; AWESOME "down home" cooking! Everything is scratch made and fresh. Very few places serve chicken livers, so I had to try them; best I've ever had, Tuesdays and Wednesdays only. My wife has chicken and dressing and said it's the best she's ever had. We split a blueberry cobbler and again, the best we've ever had. Staff is friendly, restaurant is very clean. An overall very good experience and well be back.

Really adorable locally owned restaurant. My first meal here was on Easter Sunday and the parking lot was filled within minutes of the doors opening. Almost everything is made from scratch and I have yet to come back without Sherry herself being here running around.

We ordered online and picked up through the drivethru. Chicken livers were delicious (though a few were a bit overcooked). Fried green tomatoes,mac n cheese were good. Hamburger steak was perfect. Okra and mashed potatoes with gravy were good. We will definitely visit again!

Phenomenal service from everyone that’s staffed here and great food i definitely recommend this place to anyone , the service is definitely A1 in my book

I love Sherries. The food is always fresh and warm. The servers are friendly and attentive. Meloney, the lady who runs the cash register is awesome. I would definitely recommend this place. Plus, my boys love the food. They ask to go at least once a week! Tip the waitress good. They work hard and a lot of elderly eat there... Which means they probably get short changed more often than not . Those lady's do a great job keeping up with refills, napkins, etc. PAY THEM. Poor service= poor tip. Good service should equal at least 20%. Keep up the good work Sherry

Excellent food! Only negative is order a meat and 3 the extra veggie will cost you $4.00 which is kinda pricey for 1 vegetable. After the tea and tip my bill was 22.00!

Good southern food menu and Friendly staff..

Sherry's is wondeful. I have lived in Trussville 7 years and the 1st time to eat here. A good friend of mine invited me and am glad she did. Not only is the food at Sherrys outstanding but the customer service is wonderful. From the time you walk into Sherrys until you leave you feel like family.

Food and service was excellent, very clean establishment. everybody was very friendly. Roast was very tender and yummy! Excellent place to dine

…towards the end of our meal, our waitress came back to ask I had liked the creamed corn (it was the only side we had that was not fully consumed). I said it was fine, but not for me. She scratched off our ticket to take off one of the vegetables…what?! So thoughtful & considerate. Everything was so great (and they make all of their desserts!!).

Our first time there. We both had fried chicken breast, which was crispy on the outside and fork tender! Vegetables were very good too. We will be back!

Fried okra , the chicken casserole and peach cobbler always great. I would love to see them make squash coquettes like Pioneer Cafeteria used to.

My waitress, Terrie, was excellent, the food was excellent and the cost was reasonable. It is a buffet and I tried a variety, Chicken & dressing, fried okra, black eyed peas, turnip greens and roll, the sweet tea was very tasty and Terrie even gave me a glass to go. Very good experience!

I just found my favorite new meat and three! It's cafeteria style, then you choose your table and the server brings you drinks. The food was amazing! I had Pot Roast with carrots and both the meat and the carrots were tender. The fried ocra was crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. The field peas were cooked perfectly as well. It was quick to get in and get out. I will definitely go back!

Stopped here for a coffee break while on a road trip, not knowing exactly what to expect. Very friendly service, simple cafeteria-style menu. It all looked good, but all I can speak to is the pie and coffee, which both hit the spot. Would visit again if passing through the area. Nice that it's a just a tiny bit out of the way from the interstate exit.
