Donutz On a Stick and Ice Cream

Our experience here was absolutely amazing, it is a perfect option for those with allergies. The staff was so incredibly friendly. David, the owner who was at the counter, was so easy to talk to, he even knew our names and orders by the end of the trip. When ordering, he immediately asked about allergies, before taking the order. My friend and I were there every day of our trip because we loved it so much. She ordered normal donuts, and I ordered GF and Vegan, as I have a gluten and dairy allergy. The donuts were spectacular and there were so many options. They are extremely cautious about allergies and even mark the outside of the container with GF and Vegan stickers, which was a big deal to me. Be sure to order ahead of time, or get there immediately when they open, as they sell out quick!!!

This is one of our favorite places to go when we're in the Outer Banks! If you want the best dessert you've ever had...this is the place. They make fresh donuts TO ORDER to put with the ice cream... it is a magical experience! I have gotten the donut sandwich and the sundae in Cinnamon Roll with Salted Caramel Truffle ice cream.

Best donuts we’ve ever had! If I could give 10 stars I would. We tried the maple bacon, cinnamon roll, s’more, and traditional glaze with sprinkles. All were fantastic! The service was very friendly and the donuts came out very fast. Loved everything about this place!

We went here on vacation last week for the first time.
You have to wait maybe 10-15 minutes in line but it’s worth it to me!
They sell shirts, hoodies, magnets mugs and all sorts of souvenirs for the Outer Banks and Donutz on a stick.
The first time we went, I tried the donut sundae with a s’mores donut and vanilla ice cream.
SO Good! The ice cream is cold and solid, they put nuts, fudge, whipped cream and a cherry on top. The donut is so hot and fresh from the fryer and the fry on it…. 😍😍😍😍 amazing! *chef’s kiss* 🤌🏻
My husband got strawberry cheesecake donut with strawberry ice cream and strawberry syrup he said it was outstanding. It is pictured below. My husband’s grandpa got it too. The second day I got a maple donut sundae with cookie dough ice cream and that was better than the first day! It tasted like a hot fried maple syrupy pancake with cold cookie dough ice cream on top!!

Will always go here when I’m in the outer banks!

No big flashy sign! It's a If you know you know kinda place! And thank God I knew. You walk in and it seems like your run of the mil ice cream shop....Except for the joyus scent of donuts being made fresh for every order exploding through the storefront into your nostrils! The scent alone is worth your time and money!

We waited in a generous line that reached the front door from the cash register. A 3 - or 4-man team (hard to tell how many there were they moved so fast) produced donut after donut, frying them, decorating them, and shoving a stick in em!

The flavors and selection were something that would take many times to try everything! Which is a challenge I'm willing to accept!

Using a coupon from the local paper, I bought a Chocolate peanutbutter milkshake for my wife, which came topped with a donut, a large stick with two cinnamon roll, and two milk and cereal, then for my coupon I received a free donut, in which I chose a classic glaze!

I recently started a donut review series on Tiktok,in which I review glazed donuts all over the US! This glazed donut was out of this world! So moist and chewy with a light vanilla glaze. The donuts come out hot, and after eating one, you'll never want a cold donut again!

The milk and cookies donut was my next favorite followed by the cinnamon roll. All three were to die for! Everyone I was with agreed and were in awe of the deliciousness.

I cannot recommend this place enough if you enjoy donuts!

Along with donuts, they have a lengthy selection of hard ice creams! I'm a donut guy though so I didn't partake in the frozen delights.

This will be a go-to for my family and I, every vacation to the area going forward!

Today- this place does not disappoint! Very polite and helpful with the donut selection. Maple bacon is my personal favorite. My husband enjoyed the chocolate bacon. Highly recommend this business! Great customer service! Great prices and delicious smell!

3 years ago - This place is amazing! It beats duck donuts hands down. They even have a gluten-free option which is rare for donuts. We tried all kinds of them, the strawberry shortcake has actual strawberries. The coconut vanilla has tons of coconut. I definitely recommend this place!!! There is even a picnic table that can hold 8 people outside....only 1, but it was open and we enjoyed it. Right near the boardwalk

I love donuts on a stick!!! I have come twice on my vacations and just can’t get enough of it! Such a variety of fresh donuts and unique ice cream flavors. I personally love chocolate so I got a chocolate glazed donut with better brownie batter. The person at the cash register taking my order was very patient and kind. Donutz On A Stick is a must for anyone in the outer banks and I will be bringing distant relatives!

Such a cute little shop with amazing donuts! I was just expecting a donut shop, but they also have ice cream, shirts & sweatshirts and other cute merchandise for tourists! The donuts themselves are exceptional, fun flavors and made to order so they’re very warm. I highly recommend going here if you’re in the area!

When you go out of town, you save your treats for something you can’t get from home. I have been eyeing this place on maps and we finally check it out. It’s small, has some nest puzzles and and candies. But the best is the combination of donuts and Sundaes!!! I decided to pick one off the board. Strawberry shortcake!!!! We got two of those. They come with two HOT donuts on a stick, topped with yummy ice cream sundae!!! It was sooooooo good! We also got a hot fudge Sundae!

Ice cream is definitely better than other stores around. It was thick and creamy.

The donut was also good. Although the oil smell was kinda strong inside the store but worth it since it was warm and fresh.

Almost like a hot brownie with ice cream combination. Hot donut with ice cream is equally a top option.

Friendly staff, yummy treats! Notably handicap-accessible entrance and ample outdoor benches to sit and enjoy your ice cream or donuts- with beautiful views of the sound. So glad I read the reviews and gave this place a try. I got a peanut butter milkshake and my son got a kiddie size cotton candy scoop. The employees were fantastic. My son dropped a dollop of his ice cream and I ran for napkins. The smiling guy working the counter kindly said, “If you don’t need those, you’re not doing it right.” We ended up browsing the gift store and purchased 2 Sun-Staches (from shark tank!). Very pleased with the whole experience.

Love this place, staff was super friendly and clean. Have been here three days in a row! The cheesecake ice cream was amazing! They were really great with gluten allergies, you do have to order ahead of time which I did not know till I went in but worth the wait. Will be back.

The Donughts were legit fresh and amazing! However we were more blown away by the service. My daughter lost her backpack and she asked them if they had seen it. The owner (I presume) personally dropped what he was doing and went to look for it. She found it elsewhere but It is nice to know the world is still full of good people. But seriously the donughts are gooooood!

Excellent donut place in the Outer Banks. They make the donuts to order right in front of you so they are hot and fresh. Staff is very friendly. They have Gluten free donuts too, you need to order them days in advance.

All I can say it’s OMG delish! Visiting from NY, wish there was one back home. Staff are so friendly and I had the biggest banana split ever. Donuts hot and fresh. They even gave our pup her own pup cup! Will be back next year when we visit obx.
