SLS Tutoring And CAFE’

After doing a lot of research in preparation of the SATs for my son, I found SLS to be the perfect fit. Abe is great with students, he has a very welcoming personality. My son began tutoring with basic knowledge regarding Math and English. After two months of tutoring he was scoring up to 700 in math and around 640 in English, a 150 increase compared to before. He is scheduled to take the SAT in November and he feels very confident. SLS worked for me and my son, with affordable prices and amazing tutors, my son had a wonderful experience and that’s why I highly recommend this place for tutoring to others.

My wife was struggling with math and she needed support to pass an entrance exam. I pass by SLS Tutoring every day and I decided to give it a shot. Abe was very hospitable and knowledgeable, and he helped my wife to reach her goal of passing the exam. Thank you Abe! Also, the cafe has a very welcoming atmosphere and is very wait friendly. I can see it being a haven in the wintertime, a place to warm up and read. I recommend you check it out.

SLS helped me dramatically improve my math skills through amazing coaching and guidance from teachers. I took the SAT summer math course 2 times a week and I could see the improvement in my knowledge. Coming in I wasn’t the best at math but SLS has amazing methods and resources that helped me. Since I stated going to SLS Tutoring I have improved extremely in both Math and English and feel ready to take the SAT test. The teachers (Mr. Abdelrahman and Mr. Yousef) at this center are very helpful, they make the class more fun and give easier techniques to solve the questions on the SAT. I went to SLS Tutoring for SAT prep, and could say the efforts of the teachers here are what got me a good score. They're super thoughtful and always make sure you understand the material completely, especially Br Abdelrahman whose hard work and encouragement I will never be able to repay. SLS has always been an outstanding source for education and review. If there is a specific grade you would like to reach in any class or any standardized tests you’d like to take, I highly request you set up some meetings to supplement your growth in your academia. The tutors are all very knowledgeable in their fields and are excellent at getting their points across. I will note that the bulk of their work is repeated practice rather than lessons, though I don’t see that as a bad thing; I only say that to set expectations. I, myself, have found that repeated practice with a tutor’s input was very effective at removing any impurities in my work. Almost every aspect of their sessions are great and within reason, however, I will say that they could do a better job at highlighting a path of steps at the beginning of your regiment so that you can organize your study sessions better. Maybe a list of dates that tell you what you are going to be covering in the future? Just a suggestion for anyone who is looking to hit the ground running. Happy studying!

I really enjoyed my time here at the SLS Tutoring Cafe. Mr. Abdelrahman and Mr. Yusuf are great teachers who really care about their students. They helped me improve my SAT score and answered any academic question I had. In one month my SAT score improved by 130 points. Their ice cream here is also really good.

I started tutoring at SLS in March, and it truly turned out to be the best tutoring experience I have ever had. Such great teachers, both Math and English. My score increased every session, and by the end of it I walked into the June SAT feeling extremely confident. Also, compared to other tutors, the price is very good for one-on-one help. After finishing my tutoring, I applied to work at the Cafe in the front. It has been absolutely amazing working here! Such a positive, encouraging environment, all facilitated by the amazing manager Ammar. This is truly a place you’ll never want to leave :)

I took him for calculus and physics. I Gotta say he was the best not only for helping with homework and exams, but he really motivated me and pushed me to do my best I now have an A+ in calculus based physics even tho im not the best in math. I will definitely consider taking him when I take higher course levels in math. I heard he also helps high school students with their SAT. I am very grateful for him and he's got a good sense of humor too.

I’ve come to SLS for math tutoring for two months now and I have seen a great improvement in my math skills. Mr. Abdul is a great tutor who helps me understand every concept that I do in class and shows me multiple ways to solve a problem. I really have learned a lot here and really recommend this tutoring place to anyone who is struggling in a math course.

I worked with Abdul and Youseff for the summer in preparation for my ACT. My starting score was low and throughout the summer, all of my test scores increased by 8-9 points. They were very helpful and patient with me throughout the whole experiment. They are not only kind but actually caring towards all their students customers and customers.
