Love this shop! Impressive selection of quality yarn plus friendly and knowledgeable staff. The heart and soul of A Yarn Market is its owner, Ali (let’s hear it for women-owned small businesses!) Her enthusiasm for all things fiber arts is contagious. Ali’s created a vibrant community hub for both new and experienced knitters and crocheters (kids + adults). Highly recommend!

A Yarn Market’s grand opening offered proof about the hype surrounding this new addition to the Village of West Clay. Beautiful, well-curated yarns and supplies are available, as is owner, Ali, who “knows her stuff” and is committed to sharing the social connectivity that knitting and crocheting provide.

I am unbelievably excited for A Yarn Market to open in the village of West Clay in Carmel. Ali taught me 4 years ago how to knit. I'm now always creating something new; usually projects Ali has suggested. Ali has impeccable taste and knows everything about local yarn artists. Above all else, Ali is welcoming, patient, and kind. A Yarn Market will bring community together, offer a place to purchase quality fibers locally, and teach new skills. I'm excited to learn how to crochet!

Super cute store! The owner is very helpful and I love that they have local yarns. I’ve taken a few classes so far and I love the community feel of the shop. Inventory will be updated regularly and that is exciting! As a knitter, I am loving learning to crochet here as well! This will definitely be my go to place because it is so welcoming and comfortable.

A Yarn Market is a wonderful addition to the Village of West Clay. I have taken a few knitting classes from Ali and have learned so much . Ali is always welcoming and kind. There is a nice selection of yarn to choose from.

A Yarn Market is my new go-to yarn shop. It has everything a knitter or crocheter needs, including yarn, notions and classes. The icing on the (yarn) cake? The owner, Ali, is kind and charming. She can get anyone addicted to knitting (and I'm proof).

I took my first crochet class from Kelli on Thursday . She was a wonderful instructor, patient and kind. I walked out of there and finished my entire headband. I’m so proud and will definitely be back.

Beautiful shop, high quality yarns, inviting atmosphere. The owner Ali was extremely helpful and kind, no pressure while browsing yarns. Highly recommend.

The store is small, and selection limited compared to other yarn stores in the greater Indianapolis area. I'm not sure how people will be able to shop at the same time classes are given as the table and chairs take up most of the space, even when no one is sitting in them. There was an issue with the wifi/credit card machine when I went in. I don't know if this is an ongoing issue. The hours are also very limited, particularly if you have a M-F standard workweek. It is the only store in the area to carry stock from Indigo Guinea (a local Indiana dyer), so that's a plus. Owner seems pleasant and there does appear to be sufficient parking the weekends. I can't comment on weekdays as I work during her open hours.
