Astral Castle

There is a reason this is a 4.8 + rated business. It’s clean, well ran, and really just a COOL store.

I can’t imagine a west Texas without this establishment. Each summer the owner closes for a bit for a long vacation and I always think to myself “I hope he comes back! We need this place!”

Lots of games and hobbies for sale here. There is also a game room!

Btw- Dave is an incredibly friendly guy. I don’t understand any of the bad reviews.

Very very good selection of warhammer, dnd, and magic stuff with fair prices. Was able to find a bunch of stuff I’ve been looking for!!! Owner was also very very nice. Highly recommend :)

Fantastic game/hobby/card shop. The owner is knowledge and friendly. Great place for some game nights. Their hosted magic events are all on the MTG companion app. Stop by for Friday night magic!

As a model builder I visit looking for nothing in particular. Every time I visit the store owner makes me feel welcomed. Always answers the questions I've had.

Well kept store.

A nice place full of all kinds of system books (not just D&D 5e and Pathfinder like some places,) and lots of board games, card games, miniatures and even some Games Workshop stuff. The brown bag specials are worth considering - it's $10 for a very wide assortment of 130 Magic commons and uncommons, and a few random rare cards. And unlike some places, the only lands in the bag were non basic lands. The owner was also very friendly.

My husband and I got into 40K & only knew about the Warhammer store in Midland. We found Astral Castle and have never returned to the other store. Much wider variety of EVERYTHING at Astral Castle!!

Awesome little store. All the table top gaming supplies you can want. Awesome selection of dice, and minifigs. Friday night magic tournaments most weeks, pending attendance of course. Great staff, board to post for finding people to play with, and a few snacks for sale.

I have been a customer of Astral Castle for 20 years now. Always a great selection and friendly staff. The atmosphere has always been a calm, well maintained environment that is hospitable to people of all ages. Fair prices for our local establishment! Also a community board if looking for gaming groups.

This is an amazing game store. It's so refreshing to find a place like this in such an industrial oriented city. There's s eider selection of games than even the big box stores, from board games to roleplaying, card games to figure based games like war hammer, this place does not disappoint. There are 2 game rooms with some creature comforts and tables to set up and play, visit with like minded individuals, and just take s little break from reality.

Go visit, I highly recommend it.

Good atmosphere and lots of nerdy merchandise to look through. If you're looking to gamble, their brown boxes are worth more than a usual pack, especially for people starting out their collection. Singles are reasonably priced, though some more than others.

I love our local nerd store. He has MTG, D&D, PF, Warhammer, and a bunch of other tabletop and board games to boot. Huge selection of miniatures (not just Warhammer too), a good selection of paints and accessories. Just all in all a well-rounded local gaming shop. The gentleman that runs the store is super sweet.

Great place that I did not think existed in Midland. I got some awesome X wing series 1 ships here that they don’t sell most other places in Midland which in my experience made it so fun to go to.

Great store, nice person at the front. Board games living card games, TCG (magic, DBSuper, etc.) D&D, pathfinder, and other RPGs. two back rooms for events. Really pretty sleeves. Dice for all types of games. All in all what I expected and what we all deserve. It definitely stood out from the other game shops I have visited in the area (and Odessa) good job keep it up. You will see me again.

I been coming here for over 10 years and im happy that i can always find something for whatever new game or hobby im picking up.

Dave is awesome, they have everything from magic the gathering to warhammer 40k, and a lot of random games I've never heard of before, but I'm interested in trying out with the family

The best shop ever. Moved away recently and no other place can compare. Dave is always friendly and helpful. Love the brown bag special. Will be in every time we visit home.

Super nice guy working, truly a gem of a human

Astral Castle has been around for years. Dave, the proprietor, is very kind and helpful. He stocks a huge collection of alternative hobby supplies, collectable card games, board games, table top role playing games, and much more. If Dave doesn't have it in store, he always offers to order it.

Astral Castle also has two large rooms dedicated to patrons who wish to play said games. There is a large Magic: The Gathering player base that frequent the store. Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer: Age of Sigmar products are sold here, with tables dedicated to these fantastic miniature war games.

If you are looking to pick up a new boardgame, or are interested in finding a new hobby, I very much recommend coming by and seeing what Astral Castle has to offer.
