I've been wanting to come to this restaurant for a while and glad I finally did to enjoy some pretty authentic Chinese food. They have the traditional Chinese- American menu as well as an Authentic-Chinese menu. Having been to many chinatowns across the US as well as to Beijing and Shanghai, the food here was very good but still a little "Americanized"... likely for the demographics of the Nashville area. That being said, it is closer to authentic Chinese than it is to Americanized Chinese, so I really appreciate that! I will definitely be back to try other items from the Authentic-Chinese menu!

One of the best Chinese places in town! They have an all American and all Asian menu and trust me, you’ll fall in love with both. Their food is so fresh and so soothing, it makes you wanna go back for every meal. Menu is a little pricey, BUT you get great portion sizes and lasts for about two meals.

Hey, how are you? I move from Nashville in 2 weeks, so I am doing pretty well! Out of all of the delicious restaurants Nashville has to offer, Corner Asian Cafe is the one I will miss. I will miss my friends, and I will miss our gourmet dinners at the Cafe. We like to stick on the Szechuan side of the menu. It's almost 9pm right now, it's 8:54. Time to post this review

Love this place! I drive all the way from Mt. Juliet to eat here! The food all tastes really fresh. I feel like the people who don't like this place must be used to cheap Chinese buffets and not fresh food. The American - Chinese food is really good but the authentic menu is where it's at! The Twice Cooked Pork with onions and green peppers (pictured) and pork belly with mustard greens is amazing! Definitely recommend giving them a try!

I think this restaurant is the best Chinese restaurant in Nashville. I like the fish fries with sauce.

We are a regular here. We always order off the dinner menu for the authentic stuff. Our usual dishes are crispy fish in hot oil, Mongolian beef, shrimp asparagus and a big bowl of egg drop soup. Food and service is always consistent.

Got a recommendation from colleague who drove all the way from Murfreesboro. Went to see if it was worth it. “Totally worth it”.
As far as I can tell everything tastes so authentic with the availability of ingredients locally. Definitely try it out. Menu is vast but won’t disappoint you whichever you chose.

I love the traditional Chinese food from "Corner Asian." It's worth the 30 minute drive without traffic and it's worth 60 minute drive with traffic.

Their traditional dishes are called "Real Chinese" at our house but even more specifically they are from spicy culinary capital of the world, Sichuan, China.

My first go to is almost always Chengdu Spicy Beef which is meat forward with just the right amount of carrots, onions, and mushrooms with a pleasant amount of sauce/oil. I am not one who can handle a ton of spice, so I would say this is dish is 7 out of 10 for what I can handle. In other words, it's spicy but I love it. Any hotter and I would be pushed beyond my limit. I can eat the whole serving with a side of rice and more full than I should be. There is sweet note to this dish just makes it perfectly balanced. Again, it's my first go to so when alone or tight on budget, it's what I order.

Ideally I come here with family and/or friends and eat "family style" by ordering a few dishes and sharing them. The line up is always:
- Chengdu Spicy Beef
- Spicy Cumin Beef or Lamb
- Chongqing Hot Pepper Chicken
- Stir-Fried String Beans

The Cumin Beef/Lamb is very much a cumin dish. But, man it's awesome when contrasting with the spicy/sweet Chengdu Spicy Beef. To lower the spice level from 10/10 to 7/10, have the chef hold the jalapeños. It's less saucy dish than the Chengdu probably due to the cumin absorbing it but it's awesome.

As for the Chongqing Hot Pepper Chicken, it's pretty amazing, familiar enough to the American palate but different enough to know you are not at Panda Express. The chicken is dry fried with a red pepper base sauce, naked and not deep fried, and has a deep rich flavor. Hold the jalapeños to hold the spiciness at 7/10 versus 10/10. It can be a little oily (not unpleasant) or could be almost dry...just depends on the day..which I am happy either way.

To me, the Stir-Fried String Beans serves as the best dish to serve with the proteins! The green beans are flavored perfectly and a little on the sweet side with a slight touch of vinegar. It's not spicy and perfect to balance out the meat/poultry dishes.

When it comes to their American style Chinese, they are very good, and way above average. Because of the quality and portion size, it's the best lunch deal in town. If you like normal American style Chinese food, you will LOVE this. If your idea is a massive amount of Chinese food for little money, then stick with this part of their menu.

If you're well traveled and know what "Real Chinese" food is then, of course, order from their traditional menu. I mean, there's a whole other level that I can't even bring myself to try at Corner Asian. My friends do, but I just can't. Cannot and will not do it. So for the purists or wildly adventurous go ahead get the beef tendon served cold, chicken feet, and frog legs, and such like.

The menu I outlined is out of the American Chinese Box, but it's not crazy adventurous. I've introduced dozens of friends to my line up and they love it...even when they were scared to order it.

Call it Corner Asian Cafe or Corner Asian Bistro, it's the me glorious kitchen and dining room. Keep in mind, there are two websites for this place, the one that includes "bistro" is the one that you can order online versus calling in.

I was here with my cousin Friday night. The food was absolutely amazing with the perfect amount of spice. I had the spicy lamb and she had a noodle dish. There was so much food we both left with boxes of enough for two more meals at home. Can't wait to go back and try more. Love the new menu!!

Good food and service. Bypass the restaurant to have dinner, surprised by the good taste for an average looking small restaurant. Restroom is small but clean. Keep up the good work especially cleanness part.

The Corner Asian Café is always delicious. I'm returning for my second time and I know my boyfriend and his family frequent this location for it's traditional Chinese food section of the menu (they offer American Chinese food as well at the beginning of the menu). This visit the restaurant was very busy and some staff seemed very stressed but other staff members made sure to still be kind to us. They brought us everything fast despite how many people were here and I am very pleased with my visit. Will be back again! Thank you for the great food! (Pictured here is the traditional Spicy Fish Delight and is my favorite with white rice)
