Cute, laidback coffee shop, chill vibes with great customer service. Full coffee menu with some wine, mead & beer options available. The Bee Haven Peach mead was spectacular with notes of chamomile but not too sweet. I had the roasted tomato puff pastry is was flaky layers of tomatoey goodness. We shared the Dueling Deviled Eggs 1/2 boursin & 1/2 bloody Mary, each was its own flavor bomb🤤My fiance had the Mortadella hoagie with chips, he was very pleased. We played Cribbage while we waited for our food, fantastic way to start the day. We will be back!!

First of all, this is the cutest cafe in Anacortes and the people who work here are *the best*. The truly amazing thing is that they have taken the perfect food (grilled cheese) and improved it (spicy tomato jam) to create a culinary masterpiece that comforts and delights. 10/10, get the grilled cheese.

Took my husband and 4 year old out to Sugar Mama for a light dinner. While they are a dessert bar, they had enough light savory options. I'm vegetarian and had a delicious Jarlsberg grilled cheese with tomato jam. I know grilled cheese is pretty simple, but the sweet tomato jam kicked it up to being a delicacy! Our picky child was happy with his PBJ and chocolate milk. My husband had cheese and sausage stuffed mushrooms, which he loved. He also enjoyed some wine, a cookie, and chocolate cake for his birthday while I had a good cup of French press coffee. So there is a little something for everyone here - I would love to see more savory options as the cafe grows!
The cafe is adorable and it felt like we were welcomed to linger. There is a relaxed living room vibe. We made small talk with others nearby while our children roamed around the outside deck together. Great spot!

So glad we found this place. Love the decor. Food was yummy as my nephew put it. He definitely loved the hot chocolate.
Despite bringing in the crowd, service was great.
I look forward to returning and trying a different dessert each visit.
Looks like a great place to just grab a cup of Joe or tea and catch with your friends.

Ok, a sweet, grilled cheese sandwich?? And local mead, made with, yep, honey... ...and they do have local products & ingredients. They are off the main drag, but this place is not just another sugary cafe...

Oh my, I’m so in love with the raspberry cake and the caramel bar 🤤 I was in a little hurry, so I ordered to go, I couldn’t even wait to get home to eat the cake hahaha so good!!! but besides that it warms my heart to see a place w some much diversity! Environment is beauty and happy vibes! 10/10 can’t wait to come back

Great atmosphere very welcoming, first thing they said was stay as long as you like. Ice cream sundae definitely feeds two. Cookies are great

Stopped by for brunch with our kids after a short hike. Everything was very tasty, including the scrambled egg grilled cheese sandwich. Got some cookies to go and those were also amazing. Nice outdoor seating and small yard with some games kept the kids entertained.

I only got desserts to go, so can’t comment on the other food but the cookies are the best in town (And I tried several other places)!! The gooey caramel bar with ice cream is also to die for.
The lemon cheesecake was more dense than I prefer, but the care with the frosting decor on it was beautiful. There’s something for most dessert tastes here.

We had the pleasure of attending an invite-only event, and wow, Sugar Mama is a BEAUTIFUL new addition in town. I think Anacortes has needed a place just like this. Perfect place for small plates, desserts, and drinks. They had a refreshing variety of local wines and non-alcoholic drinks we've never seen before, and all the dishes we ordered were DELICIOUS. The interior is wonderful; open, airy...has just the right pops of color, and the outdoor seating is pleasant too! The staff is terrific, the whole place is full of positive and welcoming energy! We look forward to returning at the grand opening!!!

My husband and I had a fascinating time at Sugar Mama. The atmosphere was relaxing, calm and inviting. Service was super friendly and efficient. Food was delightful and I had the best raspberry cake of my entire life. The wine selection was a pleasant surprise and I want to go back and try them all.
This just became a MUST TO GO in Anacortes!

So excited to have this community place in anacortes! The atmosphere is so welcoming and the baked goods are just maybe kind of to die for. I’m excited to come back and try their wider food options and enjoy the amazing patio they installed. If you’re looking for the best bakery and a great place for a night cap, this is the spot!

Fun going and loving staff. Food is top tier! It isn't loud like a bar doesn't feel like a library.

I just tried their Lemon Cheesecake and it was hands down one of the best cheesecakes i’ve ever had and very visually appealing! On top of it their staff were amazing and so was the atmosphere very warm and inviting!

I went with my friend during the art festival. It's decorated really nicely, the staff were kind and it's LGBTQ friendly which I really appreciated seeing in Anacortes. Oh and food is great too!

Will definitely be coming here again!!
