Clerks are always helpful. I have seen customers be rude to them and they always smile and tolerate it. Kudos to them.

Anyway, I like the ladies who work there. They can be a bit dry, but I enjoy the banter. It's sometimes like dropping off packages to Flo from Mel's Diner. Good stuff.

It should not matter if it is required to pick up outgoing mail at a residence home address or not just because that residencedoesn't have mail being delivered to them or not. That defeats the purpose of having flags on a residence mailbox with outgoing mail. Most of us have mailboxes WITH flags to indicate to mail carrier to pick up the outgoing mail that is a high chance of our bills being mailed out that are expected to be paid. This is critical especially for our elderly or those who don't drive for whatever the reason, or us third shifters who do not have a Post Box in the building because we have a residential mailbox, may be to go to the actual post office to put in the slot for outgoing mail of any sort. This needs to be changed in the Postal Service handbooks and policy to BE REQUIRED. Also IF a postal carrier is not even attempting to KNOCK ON A RESIDENCE DOOR to sign for a certified letter/package to deliver to them wasting the patrons time DOING THE CARRIERS NOB FOR THEM, us patrons need paid for it. They wouldn't do a foundry employees job and us foundry factory employees sure DO NOT appreciate doing the Postal Carrier jobs. I'm not going to be nice when anymore when I have to make a special trip to the post office and give the head post master and superior a what for about their postal carriers and subs they bring from other local cities to do a job. I get it, it's not easy, yet simply do your job more with proficiency.

In the last 2 months the mail woman doesn’t think we need our mail delivered everyday. Called once about not picking up mail or getting the mail. What is wrong with these postal workers. Never had these experiences in 35 years. This is an on going problem with government worker who decides when or if we have our mail taken care of. Has any one else in Wabash County had these issues?

This is about the 100th time I have complained about this and I really wish I could find someone to fix the problem. Our mail carrier is too lazy sometimes I guess to pull into our drive and bring the packages up to our door, so instead she just puts in the system that she attempted to deliver them. My son and I sit here and watch for the mail to be delivered because we WANT these packages not because we just like to sit here all day. Please someone fix this. I really like having a post office in our town and would hate to have to have everything shipped other ways but this is just plain dumb.

I usually do not write reviews but i was so upset with this, i couldn't help it. First time every stepping foot in the Wabash Post Office and i will NEVER do it again. The two women working had the worst customer service i have ever dealt with. I work in a nice office and understand how to be professional, going above and beyond to help a customer.. these women did not get the memo.

They treated me as if i was some adolesent child when i asked them questions. I am used to my small home town Post Office where they would go above and beyond customer service standards to help someone out, sending a package, they would tell you exactly what box they think you should use, tell you the cost and help you fill out the postal label, practically package the whole box FOR you. i didn't expect all that, i did however expect for them to try and be even a LITTLE helpful. I told them where it needed to go, i was not prepared with my own box nor did i have one picked out because i wanted an opinion from them as to what they thought would work best. The lady acted like i had totally inconvienced her because she had to help me pick out a box. Did she ask if i needed this over night shipped or if normal time would be okay? NO! she told me it was going to be 45 dollars to send a couple pair of TODDLER clothes and a rubber potty seat. When i gasped (at the price) she said well then that's not what you want! (very rudely) and dropped the price back down to normal mail. She then tells me i will also need to buy the box plus pay for shipping, this is understandable. I went over to package my box up and couldn't find the tape, this was my mistake, i've never had to provide my own tape, so not knowing, i asked the other lady if there was tape orrr... she very rudely told me there is tape on the wall i can buy. wow. not going to spend 6$ for a 5 inch piece of tape (because i don't need a whole roll!) I jokingly told them that i am used to the lady at my small town post office helping me and taping up my box, they both replied "oh absolutely not, we would lose our jobs for that" weird... because where I come from.. that would be called CUSTOMER SERVICE. If i can't ask you questions, and you are ZERO help at all... why are you even working there!? I have never heard the words "we can't do that" or "we don't do that here" more in a six minute span than i have today.
-Side note, during all this going on there was a gentleman standing at the counter filling out an envelope to send, when the 45$ price was mentioned he tried to make conversations with the two ladies and i by saying "i can't imagine how much my poor parents paid to have all my packages sent, when i was in IRAQ a few years ago they sent me one every other week for 3 years straight" The one lady RUDELY brushed his comment off and replied "i doubt it was that much, they keep the packages within our system" or something along those lines. I have also never saw such disrespect towards someone who FOUGHT FOR OUR COUNTRY!!!! the poor guy felt like a total idiot for even saying something. I wanted to crawl in a hole at that point, i was so embarrassed to even be a part of that conversation.

Overall my few moments here were awful, i did however purchase a box but because i didn't have tape i did not send it today and do NOT plan on sending it from Wabash, i will drive to Huntington if i have to..

*this was the SHORT version of my few moments here.
My advice: IF YOU DO NOT ENJOY YOUR JOB, GET A DIFFERENT ONE!!! (do the public a favor and get a job somewhere where you DONT assist the public)

Lost mail. When you call there the male who answers is RUDE. When we put flag up on mailbox...rarely do they pick up mail...and just wonder why we are missing mail...ALOT.
This is an edited version of my original...as of this month 2 of my packages have not gotten here..Be careful folks...there's a thief in the post office.OK WABASH! WHICH CARRIER IS STEALING MAIL. GNA SET YOU UP AND FIND OUT. Pretty BAD WHEN YOU CAN'T TRUST US POST OFFICE!
